Plenty of wood options, they load it up for you, reasonably priced. I'll keep using them moving forward!

Mejia's Tree Triming Service

Many many years ago in my early years of working with IT, we had IBM come in to present a solution…read moreto revamp our entire IT infrastructure. This was when IBM was at the pinnacle of the IT world. As we began to explain to them our needs and some general back and forth questions, it became apparent that they were becoming frustrated. I'll never forget this, but finally, one of them said, "Why don't we just tell you what you need, OK?" I am now an IT manager responsible for over 40 employees supporting almost 18,000 devices. We see the same issues over and over again. All of our end users ask the same general questions as well. I've coached the group of techs to always be patient and respectful and talk to the end users on a level that is not condescending or talking down to them. Even a tree trimming business needs to learn to listen, even if they've heard the same questions over and over again. Also, to listen about what the customer wants, not what you *think* they want. I'd suggest even knocking on the door and having a brief conversation before they begin their work. While a tree is just a tree to a tree trimming business, a tree can mean many different things to the customer. In my case, our tree provided shade with a special swing for a handicapped 4-year-old who pretty much can't go anywhere due to COVID. He also can't be in direct sunlight too long. Now it will be months before that can happen again. So, the question is this - is a tree just a tree and allow the business come in and we stand back and let them do what they've done a thousand times before? For most of us, yes. Or does the business get with the customer and ask them if there is perhaps a different way it needs to be trimmed, even if it goes against how they've always done it? Or maybe even talk for just a few minutes about what it will look like after it's been trimmed and if that is OK or not. I might be making way too much about a stupid tree, and an invasive species of tree as well. But it was OUR tree. I was told multiple times that they were professionals and I agree, they did a wonderful job and they get good ratings for that. But every so often there has to be more of an effort to listen.

Ivy Tree Service

I'll do my best to quickly summarize: Requested to treat another Cypress tree that was turning brown, however, mentioned I needed to first fix drip system around house and especially along the cypress trees. Was then informed they also did irrigation and sprinkler/drip systems. My mistake for believing. First appointment day and time was missed. They arrived 5-6 hours after appointment time. 2nd visit was not planned. They just showed up! Cypress trees were fertilized and mulch placed at the base of each. Unfortunately, the labor effort required to fix the drip system was too much for company. Thus, after many hours of effort and failure, see attached for how my front yard was left. Yes, I "lost" many 100's of dollars with this experience.

Ivy didn't show up for their first appointment and texted me at 5 pm, asking to show up the next day. I agree and asked for a window of time for the appointment. No response. I texted the following morning, asking for a time. No response. Then, a crew randomly showed up the next day. I specifically hired Ivy as an arborist. The team that arrived (with no notice) spoke broken English at best and simply want to cut the WHOLE TREE down. Ivy didn't respond to a phone call and texts. Ivy isn't a true arborist, but rather a crew of amateur saw wielding clowns. I'm glad I intercepted this crew before they cut my tree down. I'm reporting them to the International Society of Arboriculture, an organization Ivy purports to be a member of.
