This is my go to hotel when I visit family in CA because of its location, immediately off the freeway. I originally found it while looking for a pet friendly hotel. The front desk staff will quickly get you checked in & give you a printed receipt you have to place on the dashboard of your vehicle while parked in their private lot. There is an electric vehicle charging station and parking for large tour buses. A short drive from a Target shopping area, local restaurants and In-N-Out Burger. You can walk up the hill or down the hill, but it's definitely more of a car access area as there are no businesses immediately off the sidewalk. There is no restaurant on premises, breakfast is available in the dining room, off the lobby, during set hours. You will receive a voucher/ ticket you have to show the staff member. All your standard breakfast food items are available. The walls are thin, we've never had to complain but sometimes you can hear the people next door or walking past your room. Overall a solid place to stay.

Husband has been here for work trips. My visit was during his second out of third week at this property. Decided to take advantage of the great weather and took the motorcycle out. Well lit parking lot in the evening and no riff raff activities to be concerned about. Since I rode the moto out here and hubby took his truck- I beat him here with ample time to enjoy the cozy fireplace in the lobby. I was greeted warmly by the front desk. There's a welcoming decent once you enter the lobby area and I couldn't figure out what it was. Same thing when you enter your room. Found out it matched the white tea tree aroma that's available in the shower dispensers for body bath! Had a spacious king sized bed with a sofa, microwave, mini fridge. The tub was huge enough to be a jacuzzi tub! I even brought my Lush bath bomb (didn't get to use it, sadly). Breakfast buffet was delicious! One serving per hotel guest. Can never go wrong with waffles! They even have flavored syrups for your coffee!

Stayed here the other night and it was a decent experience. Booked indirect and there were slight challenges upon check-in. The Gen Z check-in agent was talented, in uniform, and wearing a mask as well as coughing without covering their mouth... When reviewing the check-in folio, it was interesting that the printout was higher than my e-mail confirmation. The agent honored the e-mail which was slightly bizarre... The property is well kept and massively upgraded although there are still areas such as the lift that hasn't been upgraded and showing its age. The carpets in the hallway and suites were thick with premium under-pad for a more premium feel. Despite being right next to the 60 freeway, the rooms were quiet as there seemed to be a second dual-pane window to minimize noise. The ductless air conditioner was also extremely quiet throughout the evening. Challenges for the stay included the paper thin walls. For example, it felt like I was in the middle of the conversation for the room on each side of me which was odd. I could hear every word from their conversation as well as their music/tv. The mattress itself was worn out and a lower-tier bonnell spring. Water pressure in the shower was decent although the soap and shampoo had minimal lather and suds. Wifi worked well and was complimentary. The TV in the room was massive and had a wide variety of premium business channels. Self-parking was complimentary in the private lot with a receipt from the front desk at check-in. Breakfast was monitored by the staff and consisted of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Quality was better than usual although it was still more for budget-conscious consumers. Premium elements of the room included crown molding, premium baseboards, a wet bar including a fridge and microwave along with an electronic safe inside the closet.

Photos of historic Diamond Bar add to the pleasantness of the lobby.

The biggest highlight is definitely the room size. The room was huge. Even though it only had a single king-size bed, the space felt extremely open. Honestly, there was so much empty room that it felt like you could fit three more beds without it feeling cramped. This made a big difference in comfort--plenty of room for luggage, moving around, or traveling with family. For anyone who dislikes tight hotel rooms, this is a major plus. The room was clean and well-maintained, which is really what matters most. That said, the decor and renovation are pretty average. It's not outdated to the point of being uncomfortable, but it's clearly not newly renovated either. The design feels very standard chain-hotel style--functional, but nothing memorable or stylish. The bed itself was comfortable, and I slept well. Noise levels were acceptable, and I didn't experience any major disturbances at night. Basic amenities like air conditioning and hot water worked fine, so there were no unpleasant surprises during the stay. Breakfast is included for free, which is nice, but to be honest, the food isn't great. The options are limited and the taste is just okay--more about convenience than enjoyment. That said, since it's complimentary, it still works as a quick way to fill up before heading out. If breakfast quality is important to you, you may want to eat elsewhere. The location is fairly convenient and quiet, which made it easy to rest at night. Parking was also easy and stress-free, especially for those traveling by car.

The wedding recipe was in their banquet hall on the far side of the property and a little hard to find but it was a gorgeous wedding they did a lot to decorate and the food was good that was catered by the restaurant. So, my experience with Hilton and this property is vast. This property a few years ago did go through an upgrade to the front entrance, lobby, front desk area, and the main dining area that is beyond the lobby. The remodel or update though done a few years back is excellent. It is very inviting and exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Embassy Suites property. Devin and the front desk team are exceptional! Prompt, professional, and very customer service oriented. Beyond those two notable items in which this property shines, it falls off a steep cliff after that! The rooms are dated. They are dingy. They are marked up, beat up and rusted in various parts of the rooms (or at least the ones I have stayed in). Some of the rooms have drawers that do not close so they are open. Some of the phones do not work int he rooms. Lamp fixtures are crooked because they are old and just beat up. There are stains on sofa's, walls, counter tops, etc. In the shower, there are yellow rust stains and cracks throughout. Toilet paper simply doesn't stay on the bar so it's often rolling off and onto the floor. Housekeeping is lack luster. Trying to get a room that has the adequate towels, wash clothes, coffee, etc. is almost comical at this point. The parking garage which they now charge for is consistent with other Hilton properties, but the issue is it's old. I am not sure who owns the garage as the salon next door uses it as well. The spaces are narrow. Trash builds up in the cans. Lots of areas taped off. Some cracks and pipes that have either leaked or previously caused damage. While it is a park at your own risk, I would expect Hilton to have these issues fixed to be a better space for their guests who do need to park there. The property is in a great location for restaurants, nightlife, shopping etc. It's just gotten to the point that Hilton needs to overhaul the rooms and garage at this point. Staying at a Hampton Inn these days, trumps this property and that is just sad.

Serious Safety and Service Issues - Not What I Expect From Hilton…read more My husband and I stayed here using his Diamond account, and the experience was troubling enough that I feel obligated to warn other travelers, especially families. 1. Noise & A Sleepless Night We specifically requested a "quiet room" in our reservation note because we had an 8‑hour drive ahead during a winter storm. Despite this, we were placed on the 1st floor next to a heavy exit door that slammed loudly starting at 4:00 AM. At 5:35 AM, I went to the lobby to ask for earplugs or a room change. The night auditor appeared to be dozing and was initially unresponsive. When I finally got his attention and told him about the noise and my reservation note, he was dismissive, stating we should have requested a change earlier, such as when we first woke up at 4:00 AM. He offered no earplugs or assistance and said nothing could be done until a manager arrived at 9:00 AM. 2. Troubling Discrepancies & Billing Errors At 8:30 AM, we spoke with another staff member about the morning's events. Shockingly, she told us our reservation note did NOT include a quiet-room request. Instead, she claimed the internal notes we put in were "lower floor and away from elevator"--requests we absolutely never made. While the latter part of the note about payment methods was still visible to her, seeing our "Quiet room" request vanish and be replaced by different notes was incredibly unsettling. When I questioned this discrepancy and expressed my disappointment in the night auditor's behavior, she labeled me as "aggressive" for simply trying to understand what happened. Furthermore, when we checked out at 10:00 AM, I asked for a receipt with a zero balance for my stay with the payment cards listed because I was worried that the payments wouldn't be handled as promised. She insisted that she could only print out the folio as is--one that showed that we still owed the hotel for the night. She claimed she saw the payment arrangement put in by the check-in staff and that the balance would be "handled accordingly." Despite this, they mishandled the charges, and it took us another hour on the phone later to get the payment settled. 3. Customer Service Breakdown Between the lack of sleep, the unresponsive night staff, the unexplained changes to our reservation notes, and the hostile tone we received, we felt completely dismissed. My husband spent hours with Hilton Corporate trying to get answers. Ultimately, corporate forced us to choose between a standard room refund or points for the night, with zero acknowledgment of the staff conduct or the compromised reservation notes. Bottom Line I have always trusted the Hilton brand, but this stay left our family feeling uncomfortable, unsafe, and unheard. I strongly urge management to review their overnight staff procedures and system integrity so no other guests experience this.
