Don't bother, there are way too many dispensaries in this state to deal with the lazy, rude, incompetent staff that are here. The other reviews are correct. No one wants to actually help the customer and the place itself is disorganized, you can't tell where to get recreational or medical. Organized, Quick, Efficient. If you're a new NJMM Cardholder you fill out the form online, they take walk-ins but appointments preferred. If you know what you like just order online for pick up. They have 6ft markers on the floor outside and allow 1 person in at a time. You order what you'd like and then wait in your car for them to bring it out with a card reader to pay from your car. I decided to get the Golden Goat (Sativa) & Zkittles (Hybrid - Indica Dominant). So far I've tried the Zkittles and the flower was great, not overly dry and grinded with ease. They lost a star because compared to their competition in the near area, they don't have a newcomer discount and were also just over all more expensive. The menu was slightly confusing and cluttered to read but the employee working with me was amazing and kind of just told me outright what they had and I took it from there. read more

AYR UNION sends atleast 2-3 texts a day with FAKE SALE advertisements. Rude and unprofessional employees!! Over the last few months AYR Dispensary sends out 1-2 emails/texts per day advertising great adult use sales. When you go to the actual website, the sales hardly to never exist. The fine print says "while supplies last", however the supply NEVER exists. For example, sometimes the ads are sent out the night before for a sale the coming day. I have been on to check for these sales as soon as the start date/time, and sure enough, don't exist. I have repeatedly brought this up with employees at AYR Union and they just shrug they don't know why but they hear this complaint ALOT. It is illegal to falsely advertise to try and lure people in a store. IN ADDITION, today I went online and purchased a deal they ACTUALLY had.My purchase went through and I received a confirmation for pickup. Sure enough, this was FAKE to. I was told it must have been a typo. Then, the employee Catherine M, called me a fucking bitch when I asked to speak to the manager. I finally spoke to a manger who was refusing to give me corporates phone number and said corporate doesn't have a phone number they just call with personal cellphones. I FINALLY received an email for someone supposedly in corporate. I am still waiting for a response. The manager eventually agreed to honor my purchase as advertised. When I showed up in store, two female employees are pointing at me and talking about me loud enough for me to hear. I asked the employees if they have an issue with me, and I asked the manager what he is going to do about that, and he did nothing. He let them stay on the floor and insult a customer. The fact that there are many employees there who think nothing of cursing at and talking about customers is highly alarming. I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe, neither things a customer should feel in a store I know many people having the issue with all these fake and misleading sales texts and RUDE employees. I know its impossible to find a corporate number anywhere. The menu was very limited yes, but that was clearly due to the pandemic. I was a patient for a bit before COVID-19 and they were never running low. Now that we are coming out of it, the menu is not at all sparse anymore. I got into the habit of checking the menu before making an appointment but now I don't have to anymore. There is a wide variety to suit all needs. Actual product aside, the staff is absolutely wonderful. Everyone there made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Due to my anxiety I came in one day in distress and I was not judged or asked to leave or anything like that. I was given water and taken care of to make sure I was ok. They go above and beyond to get the patients what they need. (Literally, I wanted a spray that was on the highest shelf near the ceiling and they immediately climbed a ladder and got it for me with no hesitation with a smile.) The adult use only hours are until 6pm on Sunday. I literally walked in at 5:30pm & the white man sitting on the chair by the entrance automatically told me that their recreational use closed a couple minutes ago & they are only doing medical / patient use. I don't understand why they have a sign outside of their store and also online stating that ADULT USE HOURS ARE UNTIL 6. This is a satellite retail store for the main dispensary in Woodbridge. Since they're small and don't grow on site like Woodbridge does, the stock can be smaller and they tend to run out of popular products quickly, or don't receive them at all from Woodbridge. The first time you visit a Garden State Dispensary (Union or Woodbridge so far), you need an appointment. You meet with a counselor who explains the process and describes their offerings. I highly recommend visiting the Union branch if you are able for your first appointment, because it is less crowded. Beware that they have very limited hours, so I would recommend checking their hours first and scheduling an appointment online. Before your appointment, the dispensary will email you a DocuSign to fill out before you arrive, basic waivers and a checklist of ailments you may or may not be experiencing. The benefit of visiting Union first to do this is that once you're in their system, you're good to go. So if/when you go to Woodbridge, you can sidle up to the returning patients line and wait to be called to go into the back, no meeting with a counselor again. OK, back to Union. When you get to the dispensary, you check in with the front desk. If it's your first time there, she'll take you MMJ card and a form of ID. If you've been there before, just the MMJ card. First timers wait for their appointment, while returning customers are put on a list and asked to wait in the lobby. When a budtender is available, the receptionist will call your name and invite you to go back to make your purchase. I feel very safe and welcome in this location. They have a police officer on site to make sure everything goes smoothly. The process is great, the people are nice, and everyone is more than willing to answer any questions you may have. The only downfall is very limited hours. Currently, they're only open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am-6pm. read more

The weekly deals they have are decent, and a great spot for rso however the quality of their flower is lacking. I come here every month solely because of convenience. It is not an issue that you must make an appointment to go. However, they are extremely slow for curbside pick up. Why? I am always early and send the arrival text, yet they dont respond for 10-15 mins after my appointment time. I made an appointment and paid with CanPay, it is so frustrating when curbside pickup should be quick and seamless, but I always end up waiting here 30 minutes. I dont know what is wrong inside there but they are extremely slow. The service is the biggest issue this place has. Zenleaf is amazing and better fastest and easiest process. read more

I seriously don't think Ayr is going to last much longer in the Union area. It's bad enough that the price of a ¼ oz is up to $115.00! The people who serve you are the worst and the place is not clean. Since Ayr took over, the people are not as nice and the place is run like head shop instead of a cannabis dispensary. The last straw for me was when I went there today and walked into two men physically fighting and blocking the door! (One was an employee and one was a recreational visitor.) The on duty cop was escorting the visitor out, but the employee ripped off his jacket, threw his phone on the floor and tossed hSinis wallet to the girl at the desk, before he went after the guy screaming to continue the fight. He was right next to me. Meanwhile, the female employee at the desk was egging him on. I am a medical marijuana patient coming there for my medication, but I felt I walked into a surreal world of violence. read more

I don't know the first thing about strains or edibles versus flower. they are so patient with me and explain everything... sometimes more than once!
