She's not just running a shop--she's a genuinely caring and engaged part of the SOMA community, and you can feel that when you walk in. It doesn't feel transactional or corporate . The best thing about this dispensary is its convenience and their staff (security?) that greets you upon entering the front door. Aside from that, I'd say be very very cautious. They like to hurry you along, no courtesy or respect if you'd prefer to browse or ask questions, and even worse, they do NOT inform you about otherwise "hidden" fees after purchasing products. They don't share anything in advance. You either know already or you'll find out after the fact. Horrible! I'd recommend you use cash only. It's the safest bet! Otherwise, be aware that they do not accept credit cards, only debit. And keep in mind that for using your debit card there will be an additional $3.50 surcharge (and possible a fee from your bank, depending on who you bank with). The Apothecarium's system will process your transaction as an 'unauthorized' atm purchase/withdrawal. There are other dispensaries all around if you're into it, so this is not the only space. If you do go here, proceed with caution and at your own risk. Twice within the past few years was enough for me! That second chance was the last. Tiny parking lot with minimal spaces on the side of the building. It's easy to miss so look closely or you'll bypass it.

There is yoru typical security person there checking your ID and though my out-of-state license was not scanning there was no worry here. They did what they needed to do to get it into the system and in this case it meant bringing it to the scanner at the main checkout desk. As for selection, I was looking for an Escape Artists branded cream for someone I know and this seemed to be possibly the only place in NJ that had it! So, at least on this front, they were an amazing find. As for value, they seemed to actually be almost inline to what I was used to so that worked out well too.
