This is just a review for the phone call I made and the quote that I got. I didnt use their…read moreservices since my husband found a different way to deal with the dirt. I called up and explained what I needed to have hauled away. I got an estimate and to get a more accurate estimate (without him having to come over) I emailed a picture. He immediately called me back with the quote. His prices were way lower than another company I called and better yet they were able to take it away that same day. Next time I have dirt to be hauled I will definitely give them a call.

As good as it gets! We had a large pile of remodeling debris and just plain old junk. We called S&R…read moreto see if they could take it same day. Sure enough, they were there within 2 hours of our call and had the huge mess completely cleaned up in about 30 minutes! We have used places like GOT JUNK before and were amazed how good S&R prices were. Hands down, we will use them repeatedly as we slowly remodel our house. These guys are FANTASTIC, and you can't get better pricing. Their services aren't limited to junk hauling either as they should be getting their contractor's lic soon, so we are having them quote on our backyard deck framing and pilings! Can't say enough good things about them, VERY nice people, and very professional! UPDATE 1/2012: Have Used Scott probably 4 times since for my home as well as debris from 2 other places i have helped remodel. . . . ALWAYS AWESOME!! UPDATE 3/2013: Still awesome!!!!

Of the three, Carlos was the ONLY one who kept his appointment and returned a bid quickly. After receiving his bid, we pondered the idea of a pool renovation instead of demo. Carlos had followed up with us and inquiring if we wanted to move forward with the demo. I had mentioned to Carlos we were now entertaining the idea of a renovation. He was understanding and asked us to contact him if we made a decision to go the demo route. This past week, Carlos followed up with us. Although we had decided days before to go with the pool renovation, I was very impressed with Carlos, his responsiveness, and his customer service. Although we can't speak to the actual demolition experience, I can say Carlos and his company deserves high regards for what has been previously mentioned.

I had to replace my sewer line from the clean out to city main. Out of 3 contractors I talked to, I…read morepicked Carlos. His bid covered most thoroughly for material and labor and the price was very reasonable. on the day of the estimate, Carlos took his time to answer my questions, show me pictures and videos of the jobs he had done, which was helpful to me, being a visual person. I had to go back and forth with Carlos with questions and answer. He was prompt in responding and straight to the point when explaining things to me. He and his team did a great job in the sewer replacement. They came early on the days of the job and work diligently to complete the work. It was a pretty extensive job, digging two holes, one on the street, one on my property, then SDR 17 pipe was pulled from my property to the main. The Seaside city required the work to include paving the street with 20 ft by 10 ft asphalts to covered the hole on the street. That had took the whole day, but it was beautifully done. The material and amount of work required was actually more than the estimate, but Carlos stuck with the price of the bid. I really appreciate Carlos work ethic. I had worked with several contractors and they had all charged me additional cost on top of the bids. I would recommand Carlos for his professionalism, great communication and honesty.

After a month long process of interviewing landscape designers, landscape contractors and general…read morecontractors we hired Stowe Contracting. Stowe Contracting was willing to take on the job from start to finish, without employing sub-contractors. We worked directly with Walt Combs, Paving Specialist at Stowe Contracting. Our project consisted of replacing an existing retaining wall, installing a storm drainage system and laying patio pavers. We felt Walt understood the look we were trying to achieve. Walt and his crew worked towards that goal. Walt was always available to answer our questions. As questions arose they were addressed or solved immediately. We relied on Walt to come up with creative solutions as the project progressed from start to finish. My husband and I found Walt and his crew easy to work with from start to finish. Plus, the construction crew cleaned-up the job site at the end of each workday. Based upon our experience we would recommend Stowe Contracting - Paving Specialist. We would use them again without hesitation.

Unfortunately, the General Manager, Adam Cox, was offended when my spouse asked for clarification on the bid. He, told us to find another contractor, essentially firing us as clients after $40-$50K of work, including showing the work to potential clients and giving referrals. Walt and his team did very nice work, but the GM's attitude is unacceptable. He has forgotten an important rule of business: it is much easier to keep an existing customer than find a new one.
