I had a 2023 car that had a "subwoofer delete" on the MSRP. I did buy it new, but it was made during the chip shortage. The audio system sounded really weak. I took it to Axxis, and Aaron was an excellent resource. He checked out my car to determine that in fact, there was a factory installed subwoofer in place. However, there was not an amplifier or a chip - I can't remember. In any case, Aaron searched for and found the component needed and the system sounds incredibly better. My thanks to Aaron as he was very knowledgeable, dogged in finding the part that would be compatible, and knew even how to change some code that would have the system accept the now working components. I trusted Axxis, and Aaron to do this more than I would have the dealer. I had asked the dealer twice about this and they looked at me as if I was crazy. "There's nothing wrong with your audio system" I was told. Anyway, for a reasonable cost, I have factory working components! And I have some bass which is excellent!!! I now love my car! read more

Cliff and Rick from Axiss Audio were fabulous! When I bought a used Transrotor turntable, I was pleased to learn from my seller that there was a world-class Transrotor expert right here in Nashville! The setup went beautifully! They even moved my racks to mitigate vibrations from my floor! Above and beyond. Great work, the fee was reasonable!!! They started out and did great work. They price they quoted, though was different that what we agreed upon. We ended up negotiating the amount. The problem was when I need them again. I called for two months to get on their books and no call backs whatsoever. I even called and left a message with Eddie, the manager, several times. They finally said they could not do the work and provided excuse after excuse. It is a real shame as they do quality work. Their customer service is below par and I would give them no stars if I could. Now I need to find an installer so my daughter does not keep tripping over the cord that is lining the stairs. read more

Follow-up. I pulled the rear trim to find someone had previously installed new rear speakers. They just hadn't bothered to secure them so the entire unit was buzzing. That explains why SOMETIMES they sounded ok, other times like crap. Still don't understand AXXIS' excuse for not doing what they promised at the price they promised; pulilng the rear trim wasn't that big a deal, just had to remove the seat belts, etc. Suggest you get your quote in writing and hold their feet to the fire; I should have small-claims'ed them. read more

Third time was not a charm. First time was wiring new construction for audio/video and the guy didn't bring enough material. Second time was a radio installation on my '60 Thunderbird. Ended up frying the electrical system and their insurance paid $5,000 to rewire the car. I'm a slow learner, so I took my '77 Jag coupe to have a new radio installed. Picked it up and as soon as I left the parking lot. lost the signal. Installer never hooked up the power antenna. He taped it to another wire and stuffed it under the dash. My mechanic got it fixed for a $100. I will drive to Cortez or Farmington for car audio work before I let these guys touch another one of my cars! read more

The first time i went into the store it took over 15 minutes to get someone to ask if i needed help. The prices are ridiculous please google your product to find out their price increase before buying anything. The owner scott walks around big headed likes he's gods gift to Durango. They are short staffed and a appointment time to have simple radio installed was a week and half out because they only have one technician. If you live in durango you have no choice but to go to farmington and they treat you that way. read more

These guys are horrible. I go to get my ignition lock calibrated every month. First off they are only open 4 days a week for calibration so if I miss my appointment because they are closed I have to call off work at the hospital to go in on a day that they are actually open and if I can't make it I have to pay a 175 dollar unlock fee. They are the slowest workers in durango which says a lot as the work ethic here sucks anyway. They also ruined my car panels inside when they installed my device and drained my battery which was another 275 dollars and wouldn't help me put the new one in or borrow tools to just pick up my car. When you show up to do the monthly calibration they make you ring the doorbell at least 10 times before anyone can help. They blame it on COVID and that nobody wants to work which is just an excuse for their own laziness. The one guy has always been an absolute jerk to speak to and acts like he's soooo cool with his shmedium shirt and his lame tattoos. These guys are also known for screwing peoples electronics up when installing audio equipment. Needless to say these guys don't know what they are doing and I highly recommend not paying for their services as they are well known for being the worst shop around for what they do. Not to mention their customer service is THE WORST I've ever had to deal with. The manager treated me like I was a criminal when getting my interlock I stay and even ignored me for 32 minutes when I first showed up for my appointment. A little friendliness goes a long way when you're supposed to be taking care of people who pay a ton for your product and services and that guy is ruining your business with his cocky-crap-don't-smell attitude. If I could I would give you zero stars, which is a disappointment because the owner is an flc alumni and I would support your business if you treated customers with respect and had I tiny sense of urgency or concern. DONT GO HERE THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CAR, HOUSE, AND PUT A HOLE IN YOUR WALLET FOR SUB PAR SERVICE. read more

Purchased many products through Axxis including a couple of car stereo installs that were all done well and on time. But I purchased some headphones upon the recommendation of one of the staff and I was not happy with them. When I asked if I could return them within only a week or two of purchase they told me that I could not. These headphones were $400, so I will never make another purchase from Axxis. My introduction with this business started with talking with Scott on the phone. He was very willing to help and suggested I swing by the store so he could show me how to stream music thru my phone and have the sound come thru the truck speakers. After helping me with that I mentioned that the speaker on my side would not always work and could they fix it. He said yes and then suggested I listen to the quality of speakers he had in stock that were on sale. There was no comparison to the quality of my old speakers so he arranged for Aaron, the Master technician, to put in the speakers the next day. I could tell they really wanted the best for me because they took the time to explain everything and without pressuring me let me make up my own mind. This is a small town and a job well done travels fast. These two folks were great, as was Shaun at the front desk, who took the time to explain different options on my cell phone. They didn't charge me for anything but the speakers and installation, but between all 3 of them, they must have given me at least an hour of their time and patience. I highly recommend them. read more
