We got 2 buckets of breakable/shatterable items which was definitely the most satisfying part of the experience. However, there aren't too many items after the shatterables that have the same satisfaction -- many already broken appliances (i.e. rice cooker, TV, keyboards). We called ahead to reserve a spot, and when we arrived, the guy working acted like he had no idea who we were or why we were there. The guy working was also cleaning multiple guns when we walked in, which was very weird and unprofessional. Not to mention it was a riffle- right in the middle of the business?!?! He then gave us lackluster instructions about "safety" and the room. The "safety briefing" was rushed and careless, like they couldn't be bothered. The room itself was tiny and could barely fit two people, let alone 5-6 people. All that you are given is a bucket full of glass that you go through in about 15 min (as two people). Went here to do axe throwing for my brothers birthday, I can honestly say this may be the worst $140 I have ever spent. The only positive is we may get some more laughs in the future about how bad it was. We had 1.5 hours of time booked and left after 20 mins. Waste of money and horrible customer service (the guy was vaping while taking us to the gear and clearly didn't care we were there). There were 4 of us at $40/each (my daughter's special birthday request since she went to the one in SD and had so much Fun there) and the room was small....should safely only be 2 people in there. They have a few buckets with glass bottles/cups and you had to pay for anything extra after those were done (10 min max in there with those and we left after 15mins)! This place was literally awful. I paid 83 dollars for me and my friend to go in the rage room. I got there with the guy at the desk that didn't want to help us at all, only to give us attitude in the long run. My wife and I had a great time at AxeVentures this past weekend. I would say that it's definitely a more affordable option than other Axe Throwing locations in the area. The coaches were helpful in showing us different throwing techniques and going over safety while throwing. Adam from this location was very helpful with scheduling our axe throwing date and we can't thank him enough for his understanding. We had a fun time throwing for an hour and a half while playing various games outlined in a book that is provided to each lane. The only downside I would say to this location compared to another axe throwing location in the area is that the scoring is manual here. At another location that I visited the scoring was done electronically by the coach at your lane and you could view it on a flat screen TV. It's not a big deal but it's just a slight technology edge of one location over another. The music they played throughout our visit was amazing. I knew just about every song and artist that they played and it helped make for an enjoyable experience. We will definitely be back and we'll be sure to tell others about the experience that we had as well! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/ MONEY HERE!!! For $40 a person you get to be locked in a room for 30 mins and given nothing but 2-3 empty beer bottles in a bucket, anything else you want to smash is extra $$. You are locked in a room with a rubber tire, and a bunch of pieces of twisted up junk metal. Yes, you will have to pay EXTRA for everything you break. Otherwise you get to beat on sheet metal and tires with an old sledge hammer. You would have the same "fun" at a junk yard for free! They claimed that the safety gear is "professionally cleaned", I watched the guy spray over all the stuff with a Lysol can. THE GEAR STANK!! Also they have a strict policy on being on time or you dont get to participate, meanwhile we had to wait an extra 30-45 mimutes Becuase they were not ready. We've now been to 4 axe throwing establishments across the country, and Axeventures is the least safe of them all. We made a reservation through Groupon and brought friends who were first-time axe throwers. There were more people than they expected for our reservation time, so we were instructed on how to axe throw as a very large group. There were over a dozen people listening to one instructor. There was minimal instruction, and the instructor did not watch people carefully and actually left! There was pretty much no one-on-one guidance or advice. Most importantly, absolutely NO safety instructions were given. We were also shocked that they recommend throwing axes one-handed, when every other place we've been to has recommended two-handed throwing to start. The entire space is crammed. The lanes are the shortest we've seen, so axes bounce back closely to the thrower and observers. The tables are also too close to the axe throwing! They group two lanes together at a time, so there is no separation between the axe throwing of one group and another. This means that when you go in the cage to retrieve your axe, you have to make sure the group next to you isn't throwing at the same time! The group we shared with was kind, and we timed our throws so we could retrieve axes at the same time, but this set-up is just not safe. The wood is flimsy, and the fencing is not sturdy. The axes are not heavy enough, so they bounce back significantly. At one point during our hour-and-a-half session, it started to smell like cigarette smoke. I think one of the employees took a smoke break in the indoor back room right next to our lane. It smelled awful, and when we brought it up, they sprayed a lot air freshener to try and mask the smell, but it just made everything worse. We had a fun night, because we spent it with great friends, but Axeventures does not handle axe throwing (a fun activity!) in a safe and responsible way. I would not recommend coming here. read more

Short story - it was cool! The spot is on the smaller side but just enough. Was there as a part of a team builder with a group of 10. Very laid back and easy. The guy working there was informative & helpful. He was super chill which was great. They have 4 lanes with two boards each. The boards are maintained throughout. The bathrooms are clean & roomy - this is important to me especially in these kind of spaces (small with lots of traffic). It didn't get a five for a place to hang for 2 reasons: 1) it could use a little spruce - like music or some sort of decoration. It is pretty drab in the looks department. 2) I must have missed the BYOB information- although axes & booze may make for a different type of party. All in all a cool spot to spend some time with people, do a team builder and definitely release some stress & agression. read more

While other axe throwing places turned us down at 9:30 on a Friday night (without making a reservation 3 days in advance) AxeVentures immediately got us in the door and throwing in a lane. Rachel was extremely helpful, eventually talking each member of our large group through the technique. Eventually everybody stuck an axe in the board and scored points! Even though they closed at 11 we were able to stay and finish the round. Also this was my second time throwing, the first time being at a different place and resulting in no sticks. My husband and I enjoyed visiting here on our trip. The staff member was laid back and friendly. 1 hour was plenty of time to get in a ton of axe throwing. Update: I was sent an email asking for a google review and to email if I had a less than 5 star experience. The email address given was invalid. DO NOT waste your money on the rage room. We got all geared up to have fun breaking stuff. We were a party of four shut into a plywood room that was approximately 8x12. There were two crowbars, a sledge hammer, a hammer and a mallet. To break, there were two spackle-sized buckets, each half full of old dishes. We were done smashing those in 5 minutes. One of our party left the room because she was frightened. I don't blame her, I was frightened too. Glass and ceramic was flying. You had to be super aware of what other people were doing and exactly where they were at all times, lest you hit them with one of the tools. There wasn't enough room to take a proper swing at anything. After the glass, we moved on to big hunks of old metal. All of it was so battered flat that there was nowhere left to make a mark on it. Outside the room were various objects, old TVs, cabinets, and the like, available to purchase. These items clearly came from the trash or goodwill. They were outrageously and laughably priced; $200 and up for old garbage-picked junk. The air in the room was disgusting and filled with dust. We were done in 5 minutes and left. Even if they offered us more to break, we still would have left. Save yourself and your wallet. Skip it. read more
