The decorations are pretty cool, definitely very family friendly. I didn't find the holes very challenging, but the ones that were seemed impossible. They have a small arcade with about 15 games. Most seemed kinda dated, but the kids still enjoyed themselves. No prizes! But if you have little kids, that is kind of a godsend. There is a small snack bar inside so you could get a drink. They also offer outdoor mini golf, but it was too cold and we did not for that so I have zero opinion on that. The course seemed pretty small, but Corydon Indiana, It is what it is. The facility itself is perfect - clean, spacious and the perfect location to host a family event. We paid a little extra for the A/V package and the podium and microphone came in handy. While we opted to bring in our own speaker, Shawn pointed out the we could use the large tv to login to Youtube and show our uploaded videos (at no extra charge) should we need to. The Kitchen was right off the event space and was perfect for setting up our catered meals. Shawn and his team setup about 12 round tables and 4 rectangle tables (for food and such) and then asked if we need additional.. which we did and he was able to set them up ahead of our start time. All tables/chairs are included with the rental.. which saves time and money! There is an accessible patio right outside the hall that we had access to and some of my family members took advantage of the tables/chairs on the patio. Although we do not host many events in Louisville, if I ever did another I would most definitely use the Sawyer Hayes community center, without hesitation. If your local to the area or need a space ... I highly recommend this place - trust me you will not regret it!

With that said the property is now a park setting. While visiting on several occasions of the beautiful grounds to observe wildlife and evening walks and a occasional quite picnic lunch. The community center is now the main Operation's for many occasions. More information can be found by calling administrators. As for the park grounds, There is a small pavilion picnic area on the eastern portion with indoor restroom facilities. I enjoy visiting at sunset to watch the sky, wildlife as well as a walk. Some of the sites were literally steps away from Nolin River Lake. The lake itself is small, but don't let that fool you, it's gorgeous. We decided to go here the Monday before the weekend and there were several lakeside spots available, but by the time we pulled the trigger and actually booked, two days later there weren't any lakeside sites available. We still booked site B6, which was about 6 spots uphill, away from the lake. We still had a distant view of the lake, but the sites in between were a bit annoying. People need to learn camping etiquette... don't walk through people's sites as shortcuts, it's rude. That's not really the fault of the campground though, but speaking of rude... the camp host was a grumpy asshole. The wife wasn't so much, but dude needs to go retire... somewhere up north. I ask questions to figure things out... and here's what I found out: cancellations are no penalty within 24 hours, so those spots that weren't available on Wednesday, were suddenly available on Friday. Too bad we were already set up on Thursday night. Again, rude people! There isn't the usual reservation fee, like there is at other campgrounds. This campground is government run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District... what that exactly means or what difference it is from State Parks, I'm not exactly sure. Many of the sites were shaded, mostly by pine trees. There was only one concrete pad though, the rest were gravel. Friday we were one of the only ones there at the campground, so we explored, walked down one of the secluded primitive sites and cast our fishing poles. I also loved that they have a late check out. Not all of the campers took advantage of that, so we were one of the only ones left around noon on Sunday, checkout day. There are several other campgrounds in the area, including Wax and Nolin River State Park campgrounds. We drove around those campgrounds, and they too had gorgeous sites. If you've not been to Nolin River Lake and like to boat or camp, I highly recommend planning a trip to the Cub Run area.

It has electric/water sites and primitive camping sites. On our last day there, Mr Brown actually came to our camp site multiple times to assist us with getting a camping pass for my disabled husband. They went above and beyond to make sure that our stay at the camp ground was nothing less than perfect. I hope to see them back again next year, as we will be returning.
