Then scheduled the work for the following Tuesday. They cut down the hedge row, used a stump grinder to remove the roots and till the soil, hauled away the plant material, and then raked and swept up. Update September 2023: We had Ax Tree Services out at our home about 6 weeks ago to trim 5 large trees after a large storm hit our area. In one of the same trees that Ax Tree Services trimmed 6 weeks ago, a large branch fell in our backyard this weekend, hitting our "ninja line" right above where a child swing is attached. When we called to ask them to help us understand how that could have happened and could they please come out to cut up & remove the branch, not only did they take zero responsibility for missing that large branch - a branch they would have been able to see up close while in that tree weeks ago - they also then quoted us a high fee to cut up the fallen branch and remove it from the back yard. I did not think that was a reasonable way to respond to the issue, particularly after our having worked with them twice in the past, having referred them multiple times for other business in the neighborhood, and our having an active quote in for work in the front yard planned for October. I'm very surprised and disappointed by their customer service, and want other people to be aware of our experience. I understand that tree services are not perfect, but in my opinion they should step up and take responsibility if they may have missed something big literally a few weeks ago that could have really injured someone in our backyard. read more

The work in question was a large, thick oak. Their written agreement was to cut into 16-inch long pieces. But many of the pieces they left were substantially longer than 16 inches. The longest ones they left were two massive pieces of the trunk over 4 feet long. The excess length (hence weight) of these pieces will make clean up difficult. read more

I brought Elias and his team back on December 30, 2020 to cut two big oak trees. I didn't even bother to quote second tree service company since I knew they are the best, as I put up a lengthy review a year ago for their excellent work on my other properties. It was a much challenging job this time though because of the narrower space and the deep slope, which they handled beautifully. They rented a crane to overcome the narrow space. It took less than an hour to cut the first tree. The second tree is a monster which is close to the house and the fence. It took them the rest of the whole day till 6pm. I could tell they were tired. They still did a very good job in cleaning up and picking up all the debris. My neighbor told me afterwards that she had removed 11 trees over the years and dealt with quite a few tree companies, Elias's team has to be the best, judged by their efficiency, attention to detail, the equipments and machinery. WORK: Elias and his team removed 8x 100ft+ trees and trimmed 3x 50ft trees. They were safe and quick and grinded all the stumps to be flush with the ground.
