The women who work here are dedicated and do a great job. Because Padma's is well-staffed, they are able to accommodate a good number of customers at once. For eyebrow threading/waxing, appointments aren't required. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes to get my threading done. Overall, I really like this place. The women who work here all do a great job. While they're not focused on exceptional customer service, they still do their best to make conversation and be friendly. For anyone who is familiar with foreign-owned businesses, Padma's has some of that sentimental "back home" feel. Their pricing is also much lower than others in the area; they charge $6 for brows and $4 for upper lip. One of my friends has Huntington's Disease, which affects his movement and speech. Norma told us that "whatever this is needs to stop" and that she "can't have this because she has a business," even though her business is located half a block away on the opposite side of the street. What disturbed me most is that she singled out my disabled friend and questioned him in a demeaning way. Whether she thought he was intoxicated or simply didn't understand his condition, her behavior was inappropriate and discriminatory. I cannot speak to the quality of services at Chroma Beauty Bar. However, this incident left a strong negative impression, and I personally would not feel comfortable supporting this business.
