I have been going to Dolce for over three years. I go every two weeks to get my nails done ( first gel, then switched to dip, recently doing acrylic ) and about once every 1-2 months for a pedi, depending on the time of year. Everyone from the owners to the nail technicians feel like family. My nails always look great and I get compliments all the time. They recently opened a lash and beauty spa nearby too! I should've followed my gut & walked right out after walking in & not seeing prices listed anywhere. I inquired about manis/pedis and all I really wanted was a spa manicure because my hands were really sore and beat up from work. It was pricing by committee as they had to ask around. I settled on a pedicure and spa manicure. I was handed color swatches and couldn't get what I picked because I wasn't doing gel. Never got my spa manicure and the guy said it was a miscommunication which maybe wouldn't have happened if he wasn't watching his phone while doing my nails. No dryers either for my manicure. The receptionist couldn't get my gift card to work (I double checked after, it was valid) & didn't seem to care, either. Very rude. I'd only added the pedi on because I had the gift card. In the end, walked out without the one thing I went for, a spa manicure. This place isn't cheap, either, so I can't even say, you get what you pay for here because I definitely did not. read more

I've been a regular customer here since a year. Employees are wonderful and always do a good job. Definitely overpriced but I'll pay more for a good job. But their customer resolution is what I'm complaining about. I recently did my nails and by the time I reached home( 10 mins away), it started to peel off . I called right away and they told me that come back two days after, since they were booked up. at that moment I said I'll try to come on Sunday but I had plans with the family so I called and let them know I'm not going to be able to come on Sunday due to family obligation so plz just give me a discount as I was about to go back in two weeks. The girl at the reception rudely said that doesn't make sense. She checked with the manager and told me we cannot do that. They caused me inconvenience and wouldn't even take care of the situation . They r busy with lots of customer but if they don't take care of their regular customers they will start losing the loyal ones. There's no lack of good nail salons . I went in for my refill I go for an acrylic refill every two weeks, long story short I paid 55$ for a refill on a simple acrylic set with gel polish nothing fancy , as my nails where long almond the last three times previously, I got charged a lower price for them , I left a 20% tip as I do every time I go and paid in full , was told rude comments at the front desk before I paid . Then to see my nail was crooked and the nails on my left hand where longer then the nails on my right hand . I will not be back . Very disappointed since I love coming to this salon . read more

I've been going to this salon for pedicures for quite some time and take 3 of my daughters there for all their special occasions (proms, homecoming, etc) to get their nails done, both manicures and pedicures, Yesterday, I made appointments for 2 of my daughters to have their acrylics taken off. Andrew, who made my appointment , asked if they wanted their nails done again and I told him no.....they just needed their acrylics off. I took my youngest daughter who's 13 for the first appointment and my older daughter drove herself for the later one. I sat in the waiting area up front, and checked in with my daughter a few times. I reminded the nail tech that she was there only to get her acrylics off. I was charged $30 but my older daughter was charged $15. I didn't discover this until my older daughter came home. So at my appointment today, I inquired why my 13 year was charged $30. It turns out that the nail tech asked my daughter if she wanted a manicure with a clear coat. I was in the waiting room and had made it clear she was there only to get her acrylics off! You don't ask a child that question, especially with her parent is right there and since I had declined any other service when I had made the appointment!! When I asked them how they planned to fix their mistake, I was told it wouldn't be fixed because they had asked her if she wanted the manicure and she said yes! This was her first time having acrylics taken off and she didn't know it would be extra which emphasizes why they should have asked me and not her! So, be warned, if you take your young daughters to this salon, just be aware that you need to make it VERY clear which service you are there for and stress that they need to ask the parent, not the child, if they offer an extra service!! I do not plan on using this salon again!! Very unhappy customer!! read more

Love that they've also updated their look completely. It was actually modern & very clean before, but they changed their colors and all their chairs. So happy I found this adorable little gem Acrylic Fill + Essie Polish (Ballet Slippers) I'm a business woman and deal with clients on a daily basis, making me extremely picky with natural looking nails. Unfortunately, my normal nails are weak so the struggle to find an impeccable nail tech is so hard. Natalie paid attention to every detail, making sure the nails were straight and even on both sides. Every service is done with attention to detail and expertise. I've been going to Natalie for years, and just absolutely adore her and the work she does. When I bring friends, they are never disappointed with the service they get from others members of their team. I would recommend making an appointment. They do get pretty busy at times. I just got my first pedi at Dolce with Abby and it's been decided: I'm never going anywhere else. I got the spa pedicure and let Abby pick out my scrub mix (vanilla bean and coconut--heavenly!) She was friendly, conversational and the hot stone massage was just the icing on the cake. The polish was done well and the salon is beautifully decorated. I came here for a few years now.. I actually used to work at the hair salon next door and have been very loyal to this nail salon. The place is certainly nothing like it used to be. I'm so annoyed right now that I just paid $27 for a pedicure that I waited over an hour for. It wasn't busy.. And they had plenty of people working. It seems they like to cater to the pushy regulars that come in and act like they own the place. Once I finally got into the chair after my hour wait I had the fastest pedicure job I ever experienced. I got my full set of gel nails overseas and they were amazing .Since I live in NYC I though it would be easy for me to find someone who can replicate them and maintain it the way they did it overseas. I've been to 3 different salons and at least 5 different nails technicians in a past 8 months and non of them could deliver what I was asking for .( I'm talking about salons on East and West Side of Manhattan) I was just in town and needed to get my nails done ASAP for an event so I found this place on Yelp. Made an appointment with Lisa and she DID IT . She is very meticulous and ALWAYS taking her time on doing my nails and listen to want I want to do this time . My nails never looked better . Salon itself is very clean and neat . They have the most gel color I have ever seen . Very easy to make an appointment . I usually go on Mondays or Tuesdays so they are not crowded . I get compliments all the time about my nails and how natural they look . I absolutely love them . Ps. I went to this nail salon several times and had different experiences; however the last couple of times I felt I was being made to wait too long, and nobody tried to make me comfortable, offer me a water etc... The girl I normally used worked part time and scheduling with someone else seemed like an inconvenience to them. This is my go-to nail salon. They are friendly and professional. I have a busy schedule and usually call in the day of, but they always find time to squeeze me in! I also like the fact that they don't force small talk. There are days when I'm the kind of person who doesn't enjoy forced conversations, but they usually sense it and let me just get in and out. Had a great spa pedicure but was not informed ahead of time that due to Covid restrictions we could not dry in the salon. If they had communicated this ahead of time we would have gotten the gel so we did not have to leave with wet toenails! When paying with our cards we were informed tips could not be added and must be in cash. Again, why were we not given this info ahead of time (like when making the appointments)! ... wow and then they lied instead of just apologizing! We were only told after we were finished NOT prior...but I guess I would be the one who had the reason to make up a false review not the company after getting the negative review!! read more

Quick & clean service. I got my acrylics refilled, with gel polish, and the girl did a really nice job. The shaping was on point, and I the girl was also really gentle. I had the worst experience at Dolce Nails today. On occasion I have to wait to be serviced when I have made an appointment in the past, but today was unacceptable. I called a day before and made an appointment with the technician Joey, and I actually spoke with her personally on the phone and made the appointment. When I arrived 15 minutes early today I picked my color and sat down and waited as usual. As 1:00pm approached the owner told me to head to the back. I saw Joey as she was finishing up a young lady's pedicure and she told me to soak my feet. Anyone would believe that this means they are the next person to get serviced. NOO!!! I'm soaking my feet and Joey walks around to the other side to start the young lady's manicure. There is no communication to me that I will have to wait an extra 30min while Joey completes the manicure, and Joey doesn't even make eye contact with me or explain the situation. At this point I'm fed up and I ask another technician will Joey be doing my pedicure and they speak amongst themselves, but no one is talking directly to me. So I make the decision to leave, and on the way out I speak with the owner. She tells me that they are so busy and she is so sorry, but mind you there is no one waiting in the lobby. I tell her I made an appointment specifically with Joey and at my early arrival they should have told me there was going to be a delay. I also told her I wrote my name on the sign in sheet when I arrived and she explains that they didn't have time to look at it and they figured I was just waiting for anyone. This is when I question their professionalism because they one did not inform me there would be a delay, two they did not check their sign in sheet, and three the technician Joey did not even acknowledge me and explain the delay when she recognized me. Then the owner tries to explain that Joey can do my pedicure when I'm about to leave, and that someone else with complete the other lady's nails. I decline as this is unprofessional as well to interrupt someones else's service, because of their mistake. During my visits I have also observed that Dolce Nails caters to the customers that spend the most money or tips them the highest in their establishment. No matter how much money I am spending/tipping everyone should be treated with the same respect and care. I will not be returning to this salon and I hope they can become more professional. Response to owner: Thank you for your reply, But you may want to speak to Joey, because I spoke with her specifically on the phone the day before and made my appointment with her. So she was definitely aware that I asked for her specifically for my appointment. When I went to the back to soak my feet she didn't even acknowledge me as if she already knew she would not be done in time with the other young lady to start my appointment. This was very rude and unprofessional. The reason for making an appointment with Joey was to be serviced by Joey not Linh. The response that I would only have to wait for Joey for 10 minutes is ridiculous because she had just started the other young lady's manicure, and a manicure definitely takes longer than 10 minutes. As I arrived 15 min early because I know the salon is busy on the weekend, waiting another 10 minutes was not an option and on top of that an inconvenience to me. My opinion that you cater to your customers that spend/tip the most money I will continue to stand by, because if I was one of your regulars for many years Im sure this incident would have never happened. This review was not to make your establishment look bad, but to rather shed light onto a situation that made me feel unappreciated as a customer. read more

I called on a Friday at around 11:45 to see if they had any spa pedi appointments at 1 or 2. Since I didn't have a preference on the nail tech, she told me to come at 1. That was the first good thing about this place. I got there five minutes early and they took me back a few minutes after 1. The whole place is very clean and all techs took tools out of sealed bags. Massage chairs were comfortable. My feet were soaking for a few minutes when Lilly came up to start my pedicure. I let her pick my scrub and lotion flavors (honey and warm sugar I think she said). Very good choice! She cleaned and filed my nails perfectly and then gave my feet and legs a nice salt scrub and a rub down with lotion. Then she wrapped my feet and legs in hot towels. Then came the hot stone massage. That was awesome! I asked her to paint a design on my big toe nail and she drew a very cute star design. The price was a little steep, but it was an hour and worth every cent of $72 ($60 plus $12 tip). I highly recommend this spa and especially Lilly. read more
