Under the sink in the bathroom and vent check valve was missing. The contractor plumber never installed it when the house was built 2 years ago. He said he could fix it right now and gave a very reasonable price. I said go ahead and within 30 minutes he had fixed a problem I had been dealing with for the last two years. He was very knowledgeable and even found a pipe that was not glued when he was installing the valve and fixed that as well I would highly recommend this business for their expertise and value for what they do. In April, I contacted Pittsburgh Excavation to ask if they could provide an estimate for French drains for my back and side yards. Within several minutes--fast!--Bryan responded to my email. Bryan explained that my current HydroBlox drains do not work well in clay soil, so he recommended traditional French drains. A few days later, Bryan visited my house to provide an in-person estimate. He was very thorough and polite in answering my questions. I appreciated his recommendations about the number, width, depth, and location of drains in my yard. After another few days, Bryan emailed me a written estimate, and he answered my additional questions via email. In the end, I decided to hire a different company that had slightly different ideas and a slightly lower price. I, however, wanted to write a review for Pittsburgh Excavation to thank them for their prompt and friendly communication and their brainstorming for solutions for my problems.
