I am very pleased with the service Chris and Melissa provided. First, Chris showed up when he said…read morehe would. I had a list of handyman type services, he explained which he could do and which would require a licensed plumber etc. He was knowledgeable, polite and friendly but not overly friendly/chatty. He explained which of the items on my list I could save some money and do myself like caulking the tub. He showed me how to tighten my faucet handles AND he fixed a leak in my toilet. He showed me where my water turn off was. I know, really basic homeowner stuff I didn't know. The prices were reasonable. Melissa helped us figure out the Venmo since I am not the most tech savvy person. All in all a good experience. Thanks Chris and Melissa!

Sunrise brand replacement windows, work performed by Architectural Glass owner Ryan and his…read moresidekick Ben. Excellent install service, professional and attentive. My wife was particularly impressed how clean they left the work area, inside and outside. We purchased our recent house a short while back, and decided to replace the original windows(11 in total) with the lifetime warranty windows made by Sunrise. This is our second large purchase from Sunrise windows, first for our house in Illinois and now in Columbia SC. Based out of Michigan, I believe sunrisewindows.com is one of the few companies with the V-groove options. This eliminates the Colonial style grids, the V-grooves are lines or patterns carved in the glass panel therefore you get amazing light and the view is not obstructed by the grid pattern. Plenty of frame color choices, in Illinois we had white on the outside and the inside frame matched the hardwood door. They were Double Hung, for the Columbia house we opted for the Casement windows. Either style includes an easy to remove screen, either style allows for easy window cleaning from the inside. For reference, the windows are S2100A with Argon, high efficiency. The S2100A windows I believe are applied with 12 layers of coating. Architectural Glass Co. Of Greer, South Carolina is not only a great family business passed down from father to son, but also an authorized Sunrise Replacement Windows dealer/installer listed on sunrisewindows.com. Worth mentioning, the previous windows had a worthless lifetime warranty with a large window manufacturer chain, the previous owner managed to have them send replacements for the bad windows but they sent the actual glass only and would have been a waste trying to install them, the plastic frame was so damaged from the sun they would have snapped. This is not the case with Sunrise windows, our Casement style windows have a code imprinted on them. If ever needed, all we have to do is to call Architectural Glass Co. with the code and Sunrise will send exact match to be swapped easily. If we sell the house, the new owners can also call the Sunrise directly, the lifetime warranty is still honored. Keep in mind, these are premium windows and cost relatively more, especially if you choose V-groove carved in the glass for patterns or other custom colors etc. However, it's definitely worth it for the looks, quality and piece of mind.

We had our split rail fence replaced back in 2020. Everyone were wonderful. Polite, professional…read moreand reasonably priced. Since that time, we had a gate warp (not their fault, we are on a slope and water keeps washing downstream with soil warping the gate), who do we call but, Black Label Fence. Wilton came out the next day to check it out and gave us an estimate. They get our vote everytime! (He even remembered our house, what was done and my husband and I.)

So here we go. I hired Max earlier this year to install a vinyl fence on a townhome I just…read morepurchased. Max visited at least twice before accepting the job. The back yard has a steep slope but Max assured me he was experienced and it was a job he could do. Come to find out later, he has limited amount of experience with this type of fence. A week after installation it collapsed. He blamed his trainee who he left alone for extended periods to go to other job sites. He said the trainee didn't put in the screws to hold the rails in place. He also used caulk to cover multiple errors and re-use a damaged post when he installed the door incorrectly. Max then said he believed it was the weight of the panels making the fence unstable. I paid him an additional $300 to add a panel. On June 22 I sent Max a video saying the fence still appeared unstable and the rails appeared to not be secured in the slots. He assured me the fence would not fall but he'd take a look. He never did come back. It collapsed again. There are two other vinyl fences on my street with the same slope. Both built by other businesses and they have remained intact. Finally after months I decided to post my legitimate and honest reviews on Next Door, Google, Yelp and I believe Angi. I gave him every chance I could. I then made a complaint to the BBB. At one point Max and I agreed he would give me some supplies and we would agree to part ways so I could get a competent company in to fix it. I deleted my reviews and was planning to move along. Then I received a copy of his response to the BBB. It was so full of lies and half truths that I decided to repost my reviews. I have had four contractors out to see my fence. All four verify it has been installed incorrectly. You will see the amount of caulk he used to try to hide a hole, the door hinge is backwards. And best of all, if you are a woman, single he will attempt to insult you. Max's wife actually reached out with an apology. They also said I should go through their insurance for the problem. Insurance will not cover shotty construction. After one last text from Max where I realized he does not feel bad at all I decided to repost this Yelp review. Had Max not lied to the BBB I would have let this go. Had Max not sent that text where he tried to insult me I would have not reposted this. I have to spend hundreds now to take down the incorrectly installed side that has collapsed twice. Despite what he said, I do believe Max cares about what other contractors are saying. Spartanburg is a small city and the other contractors are noticing. The last two have apologized to me for what happened. They feel really bad for what I've experienced. I hope Max will not ever take a project beyond his scope. I hope he does not belittle women again. I hope he tells the truth to the BBB. This was not a money thing. I had another estimate that was just a few hundred more. I wanted to give Max my business because he was friendly, promised to do a great job and his was a relatively new local business. My intentions were good. It unfortunately has been a disaster for me. I constantly check the weather app to see if it's going to be windy. I panic that my panels will collapse again and my dogs will escape. I have hired a new company and they will be out next week to rebuild my fence and make it right. I would not recommend this company and this is my 100% honest review.
