How does this place not have a review???? This company has been around for years. They used to be…read morelocated on 7th Avenue. They've moved off Spartanburg highway now. Slightly less convenient location, but truth be known, I'd drive 50 miles more if needed. First off, these employees are super nice! And it's not just "hi", "have a nice day". They're just exceptionally nice. Also, they're crazy helpful. I walk in the door and show the gentleman what I need. He says "oh, that's a union brass diverter valve, come down here, I'll show you where it is" what I didn't tell him it's I spent two weeks figuring out who the original manufacturer was! Should've just come here to begin with. I typically only shop at Lowe's. Lowe's didn't have what I needed. From now on, I'm coming here for any plumbing need I have regardless if Lowe's has it or not!!! . Thanks guys!

This is how hardware stores used to be. You want to buy one of something, fine. They also have…read moresome of the odd supplies and materials needed in maintaining older homes that you will not find at the big box stores. Their staff is also most helpful and I think they know everything about hardware, plumbing, pumps, power tools and more. Plus they can make custom glass and screens, or repair the ones you might need. I still use a pair of custom aluminum framed windows to fit in my odd dimensioned awning style windows in the winter for added insulation. I think it is also the only place around here to find the unique hardware items used in mobile homes

I chose to use Lowes because I did not want to deal with an installer directly if there were any…read moreissues. Despite Lowes' assurances this was not the case. Sales person said installer would not be paid until I approved the job which was not true. Lowes never came to look at the job after the installation to confirm the issues I raised. I never heard from the sales person again or anyone at Lowes. 1. 70 pickets were not nailed in the middle; some had only one nail. I had to do that myself and used deck screws. (See Pics) 2. Very sloppy cuts on support posts. (See Pics) 3. Inconsistent spacing of pickets. Some not long enough. 4. Numerous design issues making it look like a DIY project. 5. Suspicion posts were not set deep enough in some areas. 6. Transition area at step downs were not covered with picket. 7. Significant amount of left over materials I paid for and installer was planning on taking home. (Side job??) 8. Site cleanup marginal. After learning how they were going to install the shadow box fence I asked the installer about alternative methods and the response was "it takes too much time". Lowes has a new "customer care" system that wears you out with bot calls and never allows you to speak to the same person. There was all kinds of confusion regarding delivery and pickup. Very long story but this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Summary: Terrible customer service ever experienced Misrepresentations/falsehoods/dishonesty Quality issues w/ the design and install BUYER BEWARE

With all the bad reviews I guess this comes as no surprise, but think long and hard before you buy…read moreshades or blinds from Lowes and expect them to install. We purchased 3 shades on Dec 8 and the project was not completed until January 28. Approximately 6 weeks. It took weeks for the shades to arrive and then 1 shade was not cut to the specifications so we had to start all over but not without a significant delay in the first place. What Lowes is best at is having someone call and tell you they are "working on it" but it will be delayed. Add insult to injury, the initial purchase was supposed to be 50% off of several brand names, signs all over the place. We ordered from two companies but turned out only 1 was 50% off even after I checked with the sales person to make sure the 50% was used. After i got home i realized that the most expensive shade was full price. Called customer service and they said oh, you're right. They checked on it and said well the brand name is 50% off but not this particular style. It would have been nice if you they had some fine print that said "Exceptions Apply" or "Not all styles are 50% off" or even have a sale person who knew this. This is classic bait and switch and is fraud. Of course there was nothing they could do for me. I want to add the installer was actually very good and timely. If you are doing a number of shade/blinds etc you probably are best to use one of the specialist companies, if you can afford it. They are more expensive but I would expect could get things right the first time.
