Natural wildlife are present but not overwhelming The ducks were so adorable Easy parking and it's free Shading along the path I wish they kept the seating a bit more maintained so i could sit instead of standing when I wanted to pause but it is nice over all. There's also a round canopy but it didn't seem well maintained either. Hopefully if you rent space for an occasion you can request a refresh before using this part of the lake. Overall I'd go again!

In fact if you're driving Hahn woods is a good place to park as parking is not great anywhere around Lullwater. There is a deck that you can pay to park in at the Emory Clifton campus - that is the closest parking I believe.

This park is connected to a beautiful cemetery with such interesting history and views. It is so calming walking the paved paths amongst the burial sites and seeing the love and adoration of the families caring for their ancestors' resting places over the years. This park also has a tennis court, a public pool, a basketball court, a small baseball field, a general field, a pond, and a playground. It is clean and quiet, and those visiting the park are incredibly friendly. I tend to rate parks based on their visitors, and most of my "good evenings" were met with a very pleasant response unlike some of the more busy parks in ATL. There were families riding their bikes together, couples strolling amongst the graveyard, an older gentleman fishing in the pond, young men competing on the basketball court, people respectfully walking their dogs, a yoga session happening in the field and much more. This park is a catch-all for any age and experience. I'm sure I'm missing some of the amenities -- it has a lot to offer. Shout out to Decatur for maintaining this little gem. I highly recommend.

There a baseball park here and open batting cages. Great place to take the kiddies and families. And you have the excellent South Peachtree Creek Trail for a walk starting there. Right now the restrooms are closed due to Covid situation. It's a dog friendly park. Walk from Willevee Drive across boardwalk and path to Mason Mill Park which is a very peaceful trial. The trail connects to other trails so could be good for a short walk or a longer run if you wanted to keep going. It's an easy enough walk for most to handle. Well shaded by trees and also saw several bike riders, strollers, and wheelchairs. There are well marked signs to inform walkers and runners of distance and elevation, as well as seating along the trail for rest and nature watching. A wonderful place to explore or relax. Parking is usually plentiful during the week. Very well maintained and policed. I would really recommend this place.

I feel like most playgrounds in Dekalb are closed, and then there's this muddy, dilapidated monstrosity. It's seriously always a mud pit. I don't get why there's always so many kids here.. and that's why I can't take my son, he's two, he could walk by and enjoy the rest of the park but always hears the other kids and HAS to run over. Half the swings are missing. The bottom of the slides are almost 2 feet off the ground, even on the little playground, launching unsuspecting kids right into the muddy grime. I love most of Dekalb parks, but this one is an embarrassment.

It's small, but packs a lot of fun on McKoy Park's nine-acre footprint includes the following (taken from its website): 330 foot fenced and lighted baseball field Picnic pavilion with restrooms Concession/scoring building Basketball court Swimming pool Skate park with obstacles Playground/children's play area "exercise" equipment bike parking outdoor classroom with seat walls Two separate parking areas and concrete walkways connecting the site features Water fountains Grills for cooking When I visited this neighborhood park, there was a softball game going on, it was packed and alive with people. With that said, both parking lots (with a park entrance at each lot) were pretty slammed, though I was able to find a spot. McKoy park is kept up well, clean and all age groups were represented, from toddlers, teens, to gray haired grandparents, so I t's a nice mix of people here. If you have kids and live close, this is definitely a park you should be spending a few afternoons in with them. Give this little neighborhood park a chance if you're nearby, because it's another Decatur parks win!

There is no private lot, and the Sycamore Park sign is very visible to anyone looking for the park. This park is shaded and an ideal location to throw a frisbee or walk a dog, but not a good place to jog. Sycamore Park is about two football fields long and very chill. There are several benches throughout and lots of oak trees. I'd visit here again if I had a dog.

I saw and heard a dozen species plus a turtle! I also met three locals who were very kind and helped guide me on the trails and helped identify birds I didn't recognize. Thanks Jim and Case and the other gentlemen with the dog. Please note, the trails are not all marked and my sense of direction/internal compass is totally on the Fritz. I would not recommend blundering around like I did so it's easy to get turned around. Birds seen for sure included the solitary sandpiper, eastern phoebe, wood duck, great crested flycatcher, black crowned night heron, a pair of red shouldered hawks and of course, the easy to spot cardinal. However, no beaver was found at beaver lake! Hello beaver?! Hello!? I will try again. The lake was way down on water so I hope the beaver found a wetter home! Life is good with natural wonders enjoying their day!

My son is getting married. We used the club for his engagement party. Our event was over by…read moremidnight and we worked until 2 am to clean. While cleaning the alarm rang. No police responded. Vacated the venue by 2 . Saw no one attempting to enter to clean before we vacated at 2 am.We Retrieved Corn hole boards that were on the patio by 10 the next day. Despite our best efforts the club withheld half of our 500.00 deposit. We've lived in Avondale for thirty years. Really can't figure how resetting the alarm has triggered this $250 damage. Won't be recommending the club . Sad to report this crazy story. Be aware if you plan the book the club

They always have rock bottom prices on beverages and the neighbors around here are super friendly. I'll definitely return in the future for some drinks, good eats, and a stompin' good time!
