Hopefully third time is a charm. She had a chance to discuss her revision revised by Tom at OHA. He did his best but the hardware is "compromised," and if I want to walk again on my own again, the third revision is not voluntary or if it is it's because I'm going to ski again on Ratlum MT despite the first ridiculously complicated surgery. I have gone to surgeons and pain specialists across the nation and I'm convinced she took on more than she could chew based on the conversations I had with them. Called my man John Morgan's firm (we're originally from Orlando) and unfortunately it's Connecticut and past the statute of limitations, rats. I totally concur with a few reviews re her greed. She used to escort me out shoving one of those vote things with the local reviews from a media conglomerate here in Hartford. I am Cyndi F I stand by this review.

I had a feeling that Dr. Grayson was going to be great - and I wasn't wrong. He was everything I…read morehad hoped and more. He was empathetic, professional and punctual. His staff was also superb. I had gone to a different doctor a few months earlier who was, frankly, nasty and uncaring. Dr. Grayson took care of my ingrown toenail quickly but taking the time necessary to do it right. I highly recommend him.

So happy to have found Dr Grayson, thanks to a positive post from someone else. When my ingrown…read moretoenail got too painful to ignore, I finally went...with trepidation. Got it fixed quickly, pain-free except for minor bit of the injection of anesthesia, which I was very grateful for. During the normal follow-up three weeks later, Dr Grayson listened to other foot concerns I had, and went the extra mile with good suggestions. All this is in direct contrast to the podiatrist I went to a couple of years ago, so I was particularly happy to land here.

I have been treated by Dr. Di Matteo for two key items over the past 9 months. I want to tell…read morepeople from teenagers through seniors that he is a wonderful foot doctor. During my life I have been very active, doing high impact aerobic dance, downhill skiing, and golfing. I developed neuromas and eventually painful arthritis. He has made two different sets of orthotics for me (for different types of shoes) that have helped me to manage the pain. Along with his wonderful education and experience, he approaches my foot pain problems in a patient and empathetic way. He has repeatedly gone out of his way to adjust the orthotics as my feet have changed. He appears to have a mechanical sense of how to address feet and orthotics to make you be able to have less pain and be more active. When your feet hurt, it impacts all of you, and I am so thankful that I have Dr. Di Matteo to help me.

I first visited in September 2023 and after some x rays and a detailed discussion with Dr. Rode, we agreed that I needed to have bunion surgery on each foot. We scheduled to do the right foot about 4 months later and I'm now almost 3 months post surgery so I thought it was time for a review. First things first, the office is nice, the staff is incredibly friendly and they take you right in when you arrive for your appointment. I also had the challenge of working with my employer's benefits division to obtain permission to work fully remotely during my 2 months of being unable to drive/walk and Ashley and the other staffers who I dealt with were so patient with all of my "can you fill this form out AGAIN" requests. My surgery was scheduled for 7am on a Thursday at Bloomfield Ambulatory (see my great review for that place) and the whole experience felt swift, extremely professional and calming. Dr. Rode came in, drew a smiley face on my toe and a couple of hours later I was resting in at home in bed. They did give me a nerve block that held the pain at bay for about 48 hours. Other than that, I'm happy that Dr. Rode is not one to prescribe heavy hitting opiates for pain. I received an RX just for ibuprofen and it worked well. If you look at my pictures, you'll see that I was sent home from surgery with a cool cold/ice wrap, wrapped into my bandages. I connected a device that did both icing and compression on both legs, to facilitate healing and prevent blood clots. Great contraption! After 4 weeks on crutches and not bearing weight, I was moved into a very sturdy walking boot for another 4 weeks. Finally, when I was giving my actual walking papers I did get a stern talking to about how awful my current sneakers (Pumas) would be to start walking. I did get a specific running shoe suggestion from the doc and that's what I've been using since. I will have swelling for a few months but I can tell you this, my foot looks incredible and it feels pain free. Now I have to schedule the other one to be fixed. Thank you WHP and Dr. Rode for the top notch service.
