Solid liquor store with great selection of wine and spirits. I'm not a partaker of Zyn nicotine products, but I was told by a friend their prices here are heavily discounted from local retailers. read more

Great spot - good pricing and great employees. Nice dude helped me find some local craft beer and have some great recommendations. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Avon read more

Great service from morning crew. Great selection. Answered all my annoying questions lots of Colorado brands

Rude, unfriendly. I thought it was personal but I see many people have the same experience. Never buying here again. Also, only spot I know that sell cigars and don't give customers complimentary matches read more

Whatever thing is working the desk refused to sell me a case of seltzers (I'm 50 years old and had my ID with me). Go to Beaver Liquors.

My number one liquor store in the valley. Best staff and great wine choices. Thank you Russell

You'd be hard pressed not to find what you're looking for here- Great cigar lineup also- came for cigars left with booze and cigars. Friendly service would recommend read more

The gentleman running the store was very nice and helpful. The reason I deducted a star was there was a very strange guy that wouldn't stop talking to my friend and I. It was very unsettling and uncomfortable. read more

The staff is rude and unhelpful about the product. I asked about an expensive bottle of wine and he said he doesn't drink wine. Then I asked for a type of beer and they said it's beneath their standard. WTF? Lots of liquor stores in town. Beaver Liquors is much more helpful and prices are lower read more

Prices are a joke. I understand this is a tourist area and one of the higher income communities...but their prices on allocated items are ridiculous. Half of their allocated bourbon doesn't even have the price listed so you have to go ask. This seems to bother the staff. Terrible experience. read more

Best fine wine selection in the Vail Valley. Plenty of options for all varietals but particularly nice selections of Bordeaux and Burgundy wines in the $100-$500 range including bottles 10+ years old. All the cabs, Pinots, etc you need in the $20-$100 range. Fair prices. read more

Great selection of wines, friendly helpful staff, prices are on market not excessive. Also have solid selection of beers

Very good liquor store, and that's a tough category to impress people. Well organized. The cashier staff were some pretty young guys - probably not experts in California reds. The place was laid out so we didn't necessarily need help, but in the wine area, a really helpful older gentleman helped us pick out a great reasonably priced Pinot noir at maybe $22-23. Very pleasant experience. Interesting, varied selection at multiple price points. Just a very few of those little signs under various wines (you know, like: 89 points Wine Spectator, intense cherry and cassis with a forward palate, drink now through 2019) - but their selection was good quality and we've had or recognized many of the options on the shelf and they were all solid in the Pinot Noir section where we focused. It gave us extra confidence in the recommendation we took on a wine we hadn't tried before. It was lovely. Super beer collection too. If we hadn't had a long hot car ride the next day, I'd have grabbed a bunch of six-packs of very cool sounding local brews. read more

Avon Liquor - Nice Pinot recommendation, around $22-23, I think. Liked it enough to want to look for it locally when we return home. - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Avon, Colorado

Staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Someone is always offering to assist. Awesome selection of beer and spirits, and wine selection is the best in the valley with a sommelier on staff. Locally owned and operated by good people. read more

Bad experience. Unhelpful staff, disengaged, and rude. Been shopping here for almost 25 years and watching it go down hill. Going from one of the best, most helpful, knowledgeable liquor stores to place you go in a pinch. There are a lot of liquors stores in town, don't need to pay to be dismissed by unhappy staff. read more

Enough is enough. The staff is rude. Period. Completely unhelpful and not appreciative of your business. They have code words for people they believe are tourists and never say anything positive to customers. Zero customer service. The ONLY reason us locals go to this place is for the reward program or you know one of the rude employees. Without the reward program, this place would be not survive. Go to beaver liquors or north side kitchen for wine. Way better prices read more

The worst small town liquor store I've been. Bought blunt cigarillos and when I returned home they were all broken , cold and broken in my hand. Spoke with some stupid owner who doesn't even carry himself like a owner , just look nasty. What a disgrace!! Attire is important. He's gonna let me know I should go in my bin look for the broken cigarillos and tobacco and bring it back. Wtf!!! Is this guy crazy! Haha. Wouldn't recommend! They have a dog inside that's really stink. read more

Probably worst customer service ever, the older guy gets mad whenever he sees a customer and starts saying bad remarks towards them. The other day I got off night shift and went in at 9:20, they open at 9. He said he didn't have his cash drawer open yet because it was too early. He then continued to tell me that he was just going to keep his doors closed until he was ready????????????? Lol they open at 9:00, can u not be ready to open at 9:00, change ur hours of operation and stop being rude to paying customers read more

Great selection of whiskies and friendly, knowledgeable owners. I highly recommend Avon Liquor.

Located just around the corner from the Wyndham Resort. They had a good selection of beer. The bourbon selection was good as were the prices and included woodford reserve and four roses read more

I've been to Beaver, Joe's and our hotel valet parker (from Piedmont, CA) recommended that we hit up Avon Liquors for the best deal so of course we did. 36 pack of beer, handle of Vodka, a couple mixers... or was it QTY 2 36 packs of beer?!? I dont' remember... and we were off to the pool at Osprey aka Club Rehab. read more

The staff are all cool as shit and most know their stuff intensely. Broad selection with many local and niche brews. Sommelier on staff during peak times and you can get it all from Boone's Farm to $8000 Grand Cru. They take their wine seriously, and are happy to take time to ensure you walk out with the perfect bottle in your budget. Tastings on Thursdays, with 15% off the wines or beers being tasted. Love this place, visit all too frequently. Rewards program for regulars! read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. Went in to pick up a bottle with essentially no idea what to get and they helped me without steering me towards overly expensive options or aggressive tactics. Prices seemed fair as well. read more

it can't be a coincidence that in the 25 years I have lived in the Vail Valley that the attitude of the staff here is always, year in and year out, just awful. Too cool for school and can barely be bothered to answer a question. It's not just the worst service at a liquor store. It's really the worst service of any business in this valley. The owner doesn't seem to care a bit either. Do not go here. Go to West Vail or Alpine. To a person at both stores they know how to treat customers read more

The older gentleman that helped up pick out a nice wine was so helpful! We could have talked to him all day about wine! Thank you for the recommendation! Cheers! read more

I was in Avon for a family trip in July and down the street from our hotel was Avon Liquors. The last night of our trip we walked in and were pleasantly surprised. Not only did they have a pretty good beer selection, they also had an excellent wine selection. If we had found it sooner, we would have utilized their wine tastings. Prices were reasonable for a mountain town and this place is definitely on my recommendation list. read more

Neat shop, had a great selection of beer. The place felt small but it also had pretty much everything I thought to look for.

I'd typically not bother writing a review abut a liquor store bc what's the point. They sell booze. Got it. However, this place most definitely deserves a shout out. These guys know their booze. They hooked me up with a 1st batch spiced whiskey from 38 North that was unreal. A little hot water and a squeeze of lemon and you've got the perfect hot toddy. On top of that, they had a secret stash of a beer that shall go unnamed as it's incredibly hard to find. If you find yourself in the Vail area this place is a must. Booze, booze and more booze. Sign me up! read more

Great selections of wine and beer and liquors. Lots of options with Local brands! Staff is always great. Only wish they had an option for mix and match individual beer for tasting all the great ones out there! Most reasonably priced place in the valley too! read more

I like that the staff remembers you and what you like. They are always busy and adequately stocked! Great beer selection and have knowledgeable staff on hand. I go for all my needs. They always have great recommendations for gifts or parties. Parking lot kinda sucks but most people are in and out. read more

Store is bigger than it looks. I like that they have multiple sizes of different alcohols, all the way down to single serve shots of vodka and tequila. Go to place around Avon and Edwards. read more

I just sent a gift of wine to friends. They couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They even gift wrap for free!

I am surprised there weren't more ratings. This store has a phenomenal selection of wines and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. If you are into wine you'll appreciate the selection and service. We always stop here when we stay in the area. read more

Great experience, Fellow there with long black hair, very interesting, but extremely knoweldgable and kind. The Staff here ROCKS! Come to this spot whenever your in the vail area read more

Of the many places to buy wine, spirits, and beer in the Vail area, I think that the guys at Avon Liquors are the friendliest and most helpful. Kevin knows wines extremely well, and the staff all seem to be knowledgeable. There are wine and beer tastings each week and a system where points are accumulated and redeemable. I don't drink a lot but when I am in need, this is my top choice. read more
