Arrived into Trenton after my flight which they had the arrival time for along with other people…read moreand the counter was empty. A number of people standing around waiting. Multiple people had to call to have someone show up. Real fun for when you have little kids tired, crying and screaming to go. The vehicle I was given was not the type I reserved. The associate said it was comparable. No way it was. The Kona compact suv which I've driven before and has been fine was not there and given some tiny thing that not a comparable. I could not only fit one suitcase in the back. Not 3 suitcases as advertised. Has to put bags in the car on top of people and the font seat. I was so uncomfortable driving cuz you can't have anyone in the back without moving the seat all the way forward. Again not a problem in the advertised Kona When I getting ready to walk to get my car which is not where near the entrance, I was told my car might have full gas but if not call a phone number and take a pic. Basically sounding like it doesn't. Sure enough it's not full at all. Not surprising the phone number I was told to call no one picks up. Can't wait to return the and never rent from this joke of a branch. That's IF anyone is even there to return the car

TTN has turned out to be the most convenient local place to rent a car in the Bucks/Mercer area…read more Enterprise is the one found inside the terminal building, and it always seems to have cars available. Prices are not higher than alternative sites, as it appears the county and state have not seen fit to add on charges for using the airport for outside business. I needed a large people/luggage mover for folks coming in from Asia. My wheels couldn't handle all of that. Booked a Ford Expedition through Priceline and everything went smoothly. I went to the desk to let them know I was there, and 10 minutes later, a new and clean Expo was waiting right outside. No pressure to take insurance or anything else. As the manager said, "If you wanted those extras you would have booked them already through Priceline." Appreciated his logic. Brought it back the next evening. The rental lot is about 100 yards from the terminal, so walking is required, but that wasn't a problem. The woman on duty on the return was just as friendly and practical as her comrade. I was asked about gas and miles, and handed her the keys. No sweat.

Unfortunately, this was the worst experience at NCR I've been to and we typically use them whenever…read moretraveling for work. Just not enough cars to choose from so we had to pay to upgrade. There were 3 of us with an Emerald Club reservation for a full-size car and only Nissan Sentra size cars or smaller available in the Emerald Club section. We would have barely fit with our luggage (we were all traveling with at least 1 suitcase each). There were cars we would consider full-size that would have worked great but they were all either locked or had "no key" written on the window. We ended up with a Tahoe, which was too big but the only thing that was available bigger than a Sentra, and had to pay the upcharge. Otherwise, everything was fine as expected, that is why it got 2 stars instead of 1.

If you are used to hopping off a National bus and dashing to a car, Trenton is a bit smaller scale. As you deplane and leave the luggage hanger, head back to the main building on the left. You will find a National and Enterprise counter next to the restrooms and sheriff's office. You have to check in and then fill out your paperwork. The attendant is extremely friendly and gives each renter the attention they need. You then get your key and head to a lot by the cell phone lot. Hit the lock button to find your car and head on out. If you return the car before they open, there is a drop box for your keys before you catch your return Frontier flight.

If I can give 0 stars I would. I rented a car for the weekend for $70 online at Hertz's website…read more When looking again a few days before my trip I found a website was renting the EXACT car from this EXACT location for only $50. I called up Hertz to see if they can match the price since they advertise on their site a "Best Rate Guarantee" and will beat the price by 10% if you find it cheaper elsewhere. I was transferred to the online department and spoke with a gentleman about the lower price. He had me email him a picture of the lower price so he could confirm this lower price. Upon receiving the email he confirmed they price was now lowered to the $50 and then beaten by 10% as their policy states. I obviously was very happy with this service. Upon picking up the rental, they told I owed $70 and nothing was changed in the system. After arguing with them about the price an explaining to them this situation they told me there is nothing they can do because they are not a "real" Hertz location. Apparently they are just a partner with Hertz and have nothing to do with the Hertz business. I was furious with this level of customer service that "nothing" could be done. They didn't even offer to make a phone call to Hertz, and when I suggested they call Hertz they said "no why don't you do it, or drive to the nearest Hertz location which is about 30 minutes away". This was absolutely 100% unacceptable. I then had to call Hertz and wait on hold for almost 30 minutes before finally getting in touch with someone. Again they said I would have to be transferred to their online team and waited for an additional 10 minutes. Once I got in touch with their online time they were so oblivious to what was going on and I was eventually told they made and error and should have never lowered the price and there was nothing they could do. I told them I worked with someone from their team and he told me the price was changed. I also stated their policy about the Brice Rate Guaruantee and she was clueless as to what I was talking about and said that nothing could be done, even though I told her it is right on their own website. I was done wasting my time and arguing over $20 something dollars and decided to move on rather than waste my time arguing with idiots. I will never rent from Hertz again.

Since Hertz can't be bothered to respond to the email I sent over a week ago…read more.. I rented a car from the location at Buxton's Boxes. I reserved a car with satellite radio and did not find out until I got there. They did credit me $25. That is why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1. I drove cross country. About 2000 miles into the trip the indicator to change the oil came on. About 1500 miles later I took it upon myself to change the oil. I was still on the other side of the country. After the oil change I drove another 4000 miles, so the car already needed another oil change. When I returned I mentioned this to Barb, at Buxton's, who handled my car return. She proceeded to yell at me, tell me that I shouldn't have done that, that you don't have to "run" every time the oil light comes on. I told her I took the car for the change because I was driving through the middle of nowhere and did not want to take a chance the car would break down. She told me that wouldn't have happened. I have not been able to locate her mechanic credentials. Then she proceeded to charge me more money than I had already payed for the rental. Hertz won't answer my email. They had a chance to make this right but I won't ever rent from them again. Apparently Barb is an owner at Buxton's Boxes that also sells sheds, furniture, and has a nursery. I recently bought a house locally and I need landscaping and a shed. Guess where I won't be buying those items. And I'll be sure to let everyone at work know about my experience.

(If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would!)This nightmare of an experience happened today,…read moreSaturday morning, and completely ruined our final hours with family visiting from out of state. My aunt accidentally left her cell phone in a rental car right before her flight back to Florida. She realized it immediately and went straight to the front desk. The front desk agent lied and said the car had already been re-rented, but walked her back to it anyway. They "couldn't find it." However, because of Life360, we could see the phone was still in the vehicle. It wasn't until they actually called the phone that they traced the ringing to the cleaning bay, where the phone was found hidden underneath a detailer's backpack. An entire hour was wasted just trying to get a cell phone back. My aunt returned to our house incredibly stressed. Then, as we were packing them into another vehicle to head to the airport, my uncle received a phone call from Budget. Instead of apologizing, the caller was incredibly rude and defensively snapped, "We don't have any thieves working here." That condescending call ticked everyone off. Not only did Budget rob us of our final hour of quality time with our family, but now they were actively doubling down on their rudeness. We drove back to the office to speak to a manager or whoever called us. When we walked in, the desk agent, Ali, was on the phone. We waited patiently for him to finish and asked for his name and the name of the detailer. He identified the detailer as Ixel (or Exel). When we explained that we wanted to escalate the incident regarding the cell phone being hidden under a backpack, Ali became loud, belligerent, and utterly unhelpful. Ali claimed that the detailer's backpack area is just his "desk" where he puts lost items until the end of the day, unless the item is "important." How a modern cell phone belonging to an out-of-state traveler isn't considered "important" is beyond comprehension. Ali then started yelling over us, repeating, "WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ITEMS LEFT IN CARS." Four of us were standing there, all of whom work in customer service ourselves, appalled by his behavior. I told him that simply communicating effectively with my aunt from the beginning could have avoided this entire misunderstanding. I then asked him for the corporate customer service number he had offered just moments prior. Ali's response? "Google it." So, here I am on Google, giving Ali exactly what he asked for. To top it all off, the location allows random third parties to loiter and lounge around the waiting room; a random bystander actually started throwing in his two cents about the situation. Furthermore, Ali noted that Ixel barely speaks English, which contributed to the massive breakdown in communication and my aunt having to resort to hand gestures to get her property back. As soon as my family lands in Florida, I will be gathering their reservation information to launch a formal corporate complaint. Someone at Budget needs to seriously retrain Ali on basic human decency, and management needs to address the communication barriers and loitering at this facility. An absolutely terrible, stressful experience. We will NEVER use Budget again.
