After battling the air show crowd we found ourselves at the airport. Given that the signs are not that clear, we drove around to find the rental return place. We pulled into the parking lot expecting someone to greet us outside and give us a bill, but this was not the case. I parked the car in an Avis slot and unloaded. It was sad to see my little bug covered Korean metal bucket go, but it was time to go back home.
After we dragged our suitcases inside, I gave the keys back to the nice Avis lady who printed my receipt. Seeing on the bill that I got bent over by Avis big time I tried to voice a complaint but all I got was a "I'm sorry, contact corporate."
All in all, the Avis service in Canada was quite lousy. The pickup as well as the return were difficult to coordinate. read more
