I agree with the other reviewer... I too would give zero stars if I could…read more Dream up your worst-case scenario rental car experience, and that is what you will get here. For starters the place was so poorly marked in terms of signage that I had to stop and pull out my gps when I knew it was within yards of where I was. Then the first thing that greets you is a sign saying customers cannot leave their vehicles in their parking lot (which has plenty of space). Then you walk in to this 2-room podunk sketch place that is stuck on the side of Hartman car sales. The only person working there was on the phone so I stood in their breezeway of a waiting area until he was done. I then gave him my name, he typed it in the computer, and then tells me that he only has a full-size vehicle available and it will be an extra $12/day. I tell him that I believe I should not have to pay extra, but instead my reservation should be honored. He says, "You only made the reservation an hour ago. You have to give me time to get the car." I told him that I don't see how that's my problem, or why I should be penalized with an extra fee for his company's lack of forethought in taking reservations for cars they don't have available. He was completely unaffected, totally lacked empathy, and did not seem concerned at all with providing a good customer experience. Frankly I don't understand how this place is still in business...I suppose it's from ripping off desperate people who fell for their bait and switch. STAY AWAY!!!

Walked to the office door to see a sign that said they're closed, me clutching my reservation and my reminder to come Saturday 12th at 11:30. Called customer service and was treated rudely and basically told we're out of luck. Asked to speak to a supervisor, who was even ruder and said basically the same. After 30 minutes o back and forth, she said we could go to the airport location, over an hour away. They were open an had vehicles comparable to what we reserved, but she couldn't transfer the reservation, we'd have to pay again and wait 7-10 days for a refund. She told me it was my fault.... Excuse me? We had a reservation for 4 weeks, a confirmation and a reminder, no one called me or emailed me to say they would now be closed on our confirmed pick up date. She then put me on hold for over 55 minutes, during which time we started on our way to the airport location. She came back and said she was talking to the head of billing and they'd fix the charge and we wouldn't be charged the cancellation fee because it wasn't our fault (absolutely right, it was theirs!) and she had confirmed the airport location had a vehicle and did we want it, I told her we were on the way. She asked me to hold again while she wrapped things up. I was on hold for another 30 minutes, then she picked up and....disconnected the call. We arrived at the airport an hour away and went to the vacant Hertz counter. There was a note to call a Google voice number and the attendant would be right there. When she answered the phone she was rude, acted like we were bothering here and sighed that she'd be there in a minute. 10 minutes later, she arrived looking bothered and when I recounted the story said n one had called her and she had no vehicles. So thank you, Hertz for ruining the start of our getaway, for wasting my time, my fiance and child's time, for treating a 6 year loyal customer like trash and leaving my pocket emptier because I have to rent another car tomorrow and you're still holding my money hostage. Never again.

URGENT: Fraud, 32 Unanswered Calls, and Financial Damages -- Staunton & Waynesboro VA…read more To Enterprise Corporate Leadership, I am putting this in writing because 32 phone calls over three days have produced zero results -- only empty promises and what I can only describe as coordinated deflection. I made confirmed reservations through the Enterprise app at your Staunton, VA and Waynesboro, VA locations. Both stores called to cancel, claiming no vehicles were available. Your own app confirmed these reservations. Your corporate line then created new reservations -- which the same stores rejected again. This loop repeated for three days while your representatives told me each time that the issue was being escalated to a regional manager. Both stores told me those regional managers were all simultaneously on vacation. Nobody called me back. Nobody resolved anything. What your corporate line is doing -- confirming reservations they know or should know cannot be fulfilled, and repeatedly creating new ones while stores reject them -- is deceptive at best. At worst it constitutes a deceptive business practice and I intend to report it as such. Because I trusted your confirmed reservation, I passed on a competitor who had vehicles available. That decision cost me. I am now paying nearly three times my original travel budget for a company function, a direct and documentable financial loss caused by your system's failure. I am now taking the following steps simultaneously: -- Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- Filing a complaint with the Virginia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division -- Posting a detailed public account on Google, Yelp, Reddit r/mildlyinfuriating, and social media tagging -- Consulting with an attorney regarding small claims for documented financial damages I still need a vehicle. TODAY. If someone with actual authority contacts me within 24 hours and resolves this, I will note the resolution in every public posting I make. If not, those posts go live and the complaints get filed. I have every confirmation number, every call log, every date and time, and the names of every representative I spoke with. I am prepared to produce all of it.

Worst customer service on earth!!!…read more I went here to get a rental car through my insurance. upon arriving at the establishment I was informed that they only have two vehicles available which is a SUV and an open bed truck . they offered me the SUV when I looked at the dash I noticed the tire pressure was dangerously low and no fuel was in the vehicle . I had a problem with the tire pressure being so low. I pointed it out to the representative. He told me he's gonna take the car to the back to pump the tires. He took the car over there and I was waiting outside. Another customer pulled up older lady and the driver for the company left with her in that car . I was informed that I'm not gonna get a vehicle today because when the driver picked us up at the body shop he saw my husband with a beer, mind you this beer was not opened. We were cleaning out our car and the beer went into a bag along with all the other stuff we took out the car , we were told to come back the next day to get a car. I went ahead and I left then called the insurance company . my insurance company told me to call another branch ,when we called the other branch they said we can't get a car because we are blocked from ever getting a car with them . so I was blocked because I refused to take a vehicle with dangerously low tire pressure .
