We feel fooled by budget car rental. Ok, we did sign the contract so we made a big mistake just…read morelistening to what they said instead of reading carefully. But when asking if there is any other fees we need to know about and we get a no, we trusted that. Then asking about if we need to fill up the tank before returning the car we get the answer "it doesn't matter. If you don't fill it up it'll be like 10 bucks or whatever". Yes, ten bucks PER GALLON!!! Ridiculous. It costed us $30 to fill it earlier. We had run late due to traffic (didn't expect a color run to close every street in Nashville) so we didn't have time to get gas in order to drop off the car on time. So what happens. WE ARE CHARGED $115 FOR NOT BRINGING BACK A FULL TANK. Also they were not friendly there at all. One lady was friendly but she was the one who totally fooled us when saying it's not a big thing returning the car not filled up. The other two people we talked to were very rude.

I've never seen such poor customer service (with the exception of the poor woman today on the…read morephone. I booked a rental on Priceline after booking my flight and making my connection to Charlotte NC. I arrived and my phone says 9pm (if your familiar with the airport it's one escalator ride to the rental car terminal) . There was no one at the car counter, but a Dr Pepper on the counter. The security guard told me it was 9:02 , my husband went outside to the cars and the front of the airport thinking someone might be cleaning cars or on break. By 9:10 we asked baggage handlers if they had seen the Avis rental person because budget counter had a sign to go to Avis. When I called customer service they told me to get an uber that the person working had clocked out early after first telling me I was late. He told me to uber back tomorrow and that if I wanted to complain he could put me through to customer service which promptly hung up because they were closed on Saturday evening.

I had quite a unique situation when I flew into CMI instead of PIA (where my hertz reservation was booked) because of airline stupidity. Vicky was a very caring person and very swiftly and painlessly converted my reservation to CMI. I was out of the airport and on my way in about 10 mins. And she was able to change my reservation so that I could drop off at PIA when I was through. Thank you Vicki!!!!!

I can't believe the regulators let these guys run high level scams like the one they pulled on me…read moreon 06/23/17. They let you prepay for every car they DO NOT HAVE sitting on the lot, and then try to hand out a measly Sonata as your consolation prize when you show up like the loser you are for choosing these guys. Refund you say? Try sitting on the line for an eternity only to get transferred around some more. As a comparison, I tried booking ANYTHING from their competitors at the same location on the same day, and I was promptly greeted by a message that said "sorry. We're sold out on the dates you selected". Yep, no other rental business ever attempts to make money from hassling their customers. Make sure you understand before making any reservation with them that your money is basically gone regardless of you getting your car or not. I was constantly given a run around for over a month regarding the refund until they recently started telling me that I hadn't even shown up to pickup my car that day :D That's the trick--they mess with you until such time as it's deemed that you might not be able to initiate a charge back, and then they shift the blame onto you for "not showing up to pickup the car". If you think you have been stung by these deadbeats, then show no mercy and bring a small claims suit to their desk! Not doing so would be you enabling them to rob other people blind without mercy. Keep away from this specific Hertz if you make an honest living, and have some respect for yourself and your money!

This place is a joke. I placed a car rental online. Everything went through and I got a…read moreconfirmation number. I arrived at the location and they told me there was no car. There's obviously a bunch of cars in the lot. I was told those were not for me that somebody else had the reservation. The thing that gets me about this is mistakes can be made. Obviously, by the time you go to rent a car there's something imperative occurring. There was no attempt from the three people in the office aside from. I'm sorry we have nothing for you to make a situation right for this customer. In fact, when I went back to ask why they didn't cancel a reservation for someone whose car was sitting there waiting for them and let me take it. I was given a bunch of mouthy sass. As though any of it had anything to do with the rep herself. I was very calm and collected. I did begin to point out the flaws in the logic I was being given and it must have struck a cord. So good luck if you decide to book here. This is the second time my reservation has been cancelled as I walk into this place. RENTER BEWARE! Coming back to edit this: I have found another car, and mentioned I had scheduled with somewhere else and had confirmation and when I got there, they said no there is no car. The rep there said...oh, must have been Hertz or X (I won't name it, that's not my issue was with).
