We had some issues with a car we rented from the Atlanta Airport location. We could never get back in touch with that location, they were useless and corporate was also very difficult in helping us. After giving up with both, I called this location and first spoke to Migdalia. She then gave me to Katrina. Both ladies are awesome and Katrina went above and beyond to help us. She did not have to do this. We didn't rent from her location and decided just to go return the car to this Avis location. Katrina went above and beyond dealing with Avis corporate on on behalf as I was pretty done with the entire situation. Her resolution far exceeded our expectations. Katrina is amazing. Made a reservation for an 8am pickup about a month before our Thanksgiving trip out of town. Confirmed the reservation the week of and wasn't told of any issues with receiving a vehicle. The day before we were set to leave, about 10 minutes prior to the store closing, we get a call saying we would not be able to have a vehicle until 10am. Being that it was the day before Thanksgiving and so late into the evening, there wasn't a single rental car that place had anything available for our party of 7. We checked multiple businesses in the ATL area and everyone was sold out. Rightfully so. This is why we made a reservation and confirmed well in advance. We checked in again with Avis around 9am on the day we were set to leave and they notified us that they now wouldn't have any available cars until 2pm that day. Being that we were driving to Florida, we wanted to get on the road and decided to take a couple of our personal vehicles. Later that day we realized that Avis never called us to let us know there was ever a vehicle ready! If we were driving to catch a cruise or flight we would have been out of luck. Thankfully we were able to improvise but we are so disappointed in the lack of communication and for them throwing such a huge wrench in our travel plans. read more

Avis had been one of my go-to places to rental vehicles, alongside Enterprise for years. However, this Avis has convinced me that I should just stick with Enterprise. On several different occasions, I've rented smoke-filled, dirty vehicles that the staff couldn't care less about rectifying. Other times, I show up at my reservation time only to be told "we don't have any cars available" or they offer me a Truck or SUV when I specifically asked for a sedan. What is the point in me reserving well in advance if you aren't going to have any vehicles? Last time I showed up, I got a smoke filled vehicle AND they didn't have any other vehicles aside from a pickup truck! A double-whammy! I was told I could come back THE NEXT DAY to pick up a vehicle. No thanks, I'll take a refund! Avis should really consider either shutting this location down or getting some new management. I'll be using Enterprise for any and all rental vehicle needs now in the Marietta area. I suggest you all do the same. It may be cheaper, but it's not worth the headache. read more

Made a rsvp by Cobb pkwy location in Kennesaw at 3pm on Saturday and arrived at 3:05pm they already closed which online said they close at 6pm. This big short dark skin lady refused to accept us and was being so rude and kept telling us that we're late and that they're closed already, she said that everybody on time and only us come late. One of 4 Avis locations to avoid. I'll try to copy the others as well. The Atlanta airport location is a crap shoot. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. Cars in ok condition but as with all airport locations it's too dark to inspect them. This latest one had some noise under the right front of the car. Roadside assistance - useless. Oh. Question from them. Did you pay for roadside towing. Red flag that you should need to. Wouldn't that be included? I patronize your service. You give me a bum car. I pay to tow it back to you.&&@@"-//!! I've also had a car from here with a taped up trim area. They thought the silver color would be ok. Sad. Philly airport cars are always dirty and smelly Cleveland cars are smoked in. Sometimes marijuana Finally Roswell Rd Marietta has no cars available or dirty ones. The agent actually said. "Oh. You should have called to make sure we have cars since it's a holiday". But I had a reservation. I think that means you have to have a car for me. I don't rent there anymore. As a matter of fact, I try not to rent from Avis at all. I do have a local favorite on powder springs. Rashad is fantastic. The location on Woodstock is usually ok. Rented a car here for the holidays. Agent was Mark and Cory is the manager. Mustang convertible was dirty inside and out. Inside reeked of marijuana smoke, covered up with nasty deodorizer. Nauseating! Called Avis corporate twice and they said due to the holidays, nothing could be done. 1-2-2019 called Avis corporate and got the big run around. When vehicle was turned in 12-31-2018, Cory, the owner, said since I'd prepaid, I would have to deal with corporate. All calls to corporate from 12-24-2018 to 1-2-2019 were taken from foreigners in India, which means poor language communications. Avoid Avis! Avoid this mini location in Marietta GA owned by Corey, who obviously could care less about customers. My first and last time I'll EVER use Avis. DO NOT USE AVIS!!! You've been warned!! read more

Horrible experience. This location is a franchised location and the owner was not accommodating. Had a reservation for a SUV- we arrived and they had a beat up Pathfinder. My only other choice was a small sized car that was not only dinged up but dirty. Out of options, we took the car, only to make it as far as the traffic light to have the tire warning lights come on the dashboard. The explanation was a faulty sensor. Wasn't driving 800 miles on that guess. He did offer that we could drive an hour out of our way to the airport and get something else. "Lobby" in disrepair and dirty. Cars dirty. read more

Do not I repeat do not rent from this location. The customer service is completely awful and not only that they never have any cars available. This location in particular will overbooked for some reason and if you're not there at a particular time your car will not be available. Again I repeat do not rent your car from this location the customer service is a -5 and the availability of cars is a -10 I'm sorry to write such a bad review but I've had two encounters with this particular location, on both occasions very disappointing. read more

Mark was great and helped when we were literally stranded! My granddaughter's car broke down (major issue w/ no quick fix!) on our way from MO to FL taking her to college! We had 2 days to get her there & moved in before classes started. Seemed like no one in all of Atlanta had at minimum a small SUV (moving a lot of "stuff") available - let alone one they would allow a drop off in another state. Mark had one. Offered a fair rate. Even better... when I arrived to pick up... he had an even better vehicle for a better price waiting! read more

Once again customer service down the drain. Why is it so hard to rent a clean, vacuumed, Mini-Van that does not have 60,000 miles on it? And not some random car in the "same class" - according to you - that will not suffice - because we asked for a Mini-Van!!!! Not a FORD FLEX. It amazes me that this location is still operational. Don't you take pride in serving your customers? Delivering a clean car? Delivering the requested car? Guess not, so my husband had to drive to the airport - Friday night in holiday rush hour to exchange the Ford Flex for a Mini-Van. Took him 1.5 hours to get there and 1 hour to get back. Avis you really have no idea how to treat a customer. It's pathetic. Be careful - if you bring the car back and it looks like you "traveled" in it for a week - you will be charged a cleaning fee....and it's outrageous. Looking for another rental company. Anthony is THE man. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and looked at every way to accommodate my reservation - at a time when there was a system wide black out. He gave me a great price and worked around the problem with flawlessly. I will not rent from anywhere else again, even though there are several rental locations closer to me. That's how good he is. This establishment deserves ZERO star. I had to rate one to write the review. This Powers Ferry location allowed me to reserve a vehicle online, then proceeded to take my money from my account for the reservation BUT failed to notify me that the vehicle was not going to be available UNTIL I arrived to pick it up! The customer service showed no compassion and wanted me to pay and additional $200 for something they screwed up. I had to search last minute with another company and ALSO had to wait 3-5 business day for my $600+ to be deposited back into my account! What a joke of a company! They could have provided me with a "daggone" SUV and ate the additional cost for inconveniencing me! Never will I use this location again! read more

Mafe reservation 1 week early for a premuim car with seruis xm. Got there about half a hour early as drivers were arriving to take returned cars for cleaning. Guy behind the counter said our car hadn't been delivered yet, though he just had 3 that he just sent back. Offered us a SUV. We waited 15 min in hopes the car we reserved would be delivered. No dice. Took the suv, Jeep. It wasn't clean and aftrer i left, the "needs oil change" indicator came on. And no serius xm. Here is my experience of renting a car from this place. This review is for this specific location and may not be applicable to Avis in general. I booked my rental via Costco travel for 1 week starting today - 7/6. The reservation was for 4pm and I was there at 5:30pm. I was told the reservation was cancelled because I did not show up on time. I have not heard of this happening for a 90min delay. I dont care about a specific car so, I did not mind taking another car. However, the person who helped me ("Derek") was kind enough to find a solution as he realized 90min delay does not warrant cancelling a reservation. He called his manager (a heavy set african american women) but, looks like she was not willing to deal with the situation in a constructive way. She said, I have to make one more reservation thats $100 more than I originally booked. I disagreed with the resolution as I held the ground that this is not my problem so, why should I pay for it? I said, I will take the car but, will file a complaint against the branch/service. To which, the lady went ballistic and turned extremely rude and mean and asked me to get out of the office. It is 6pm and they kicked me out of the office and closed the office. When the lady was coming out, I asked for her name which she rudely refused (I was not surprised). This was by far the worst experience I have had. I have been left out of the office, without a ride back home or a car rental. I then called Costco which connected me to Avis. The Avis rep on the phone was extremely apologetic and wanted to make amends. He made me another reservation at another location for the same price I paid and a discount for the difference. I'm somewhat satisfied with that service but, I would have expected Avis to set a "Code of conduct" for its branches on how to deal with customers - a lot of it is common sense and being nice to customers. I had to pay for my ride back using UberX and another ride the next day to a different location wasting a more money all because of this branch screwing up. Everybody screws up once in a while but, I was more upset with the quality of service I received in rectifying the problem. Avoid this branch if possible. They do not deserve your money. read more

Shame on Avis! Reserved and paid in ADVANCE for a convertible. Called the store and specifically requested the convertible for a homecoming parade. Showed up to pick up car and NO CONVERTIBLE. Had to scramble to find something with no time. Luckily Enterprise Rental came to the rescue. Should have gone to Enterprise from the beginning. Stay away from this group! read more

Disappointed! This location continues to disappoint. On a few occasions I have rented a van weeks in advance only to arrive and there is no vehicle waiting for me. On top of that, there is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing, that this location can do to support you in your efforts to secure another vehicle. Today I'm so upset i made a reservation to pick up at my car at three. Get there to find out they close at three. I take part responsibility for this cause i should have paid more attention to business times but i should not have been able to book at three either. That is avis fault. AWESOME Customer Service!! Avis was a sigh of relief... The manager Corey was a pleasant professional. After going to several non-caring, obviously money hungry places to rent a car. I.e Enterprise, Budget, Alamo. (Specifically Enterprise) I found this gem.. seriously.. it was hassle free. Corey greeted me when I walked in, took my information, told me what cars he had available. I drove off in a matter of 30 minutes!! He even offered to put my bags in the car... it doesn't stop there, he took customer service to another level.... he even gave me a bottle of Water!! When I returned Corey remembered my destination and my family's party. I have already told all my friends, even the company I work for.. go see Corey. He will make you feel like family! My company is considering letting go of enterprise because I spoke so highly of this place. Corey if you see this... please don't ever change the level of customer service that you deliver.
