we really enjoyed our adventure at Aviomar. A little bit of a taxi drive from the Cruise Terminal but well worth it. the staff was friendly and the location was very clean. The pool was clean and warm, the food tasty and the cervasa was ice cold. We had a nice ride out and around before we drift snorkeled for quite a while. Although not the reef, we saw many fish; French Angels, parrotfish, snapper and even a small sting ray. once we reboarded our little boats, we proceeded on another nice boat ride to finish the tour. Not for the faint of heart, fast boats, waves and bumps galore and plenty of action. If you are an adventure traveler like us, this is a great excursion. Plus we arrived back at the terminal with plenty of time to shop.

We went on a tour of Mayan Ruins in Tulum booked through Norwegian Cruise Line. Jesus was our tour guide. He said he has been a guide for about 35 years and I could tell! He has an amazing wealth of knowledge. The bus ride was long but he kept us entertained by telling us about the area, the people who live there now and the past. read more
Today, my husband went on the ATV and beach tour with Irving and Mario from the carnival breeze! It was well-priced and a really nice day out. The ATV experience was top-notch--bumpy, muddy-- FUN. The beach was relaxing and had good ceviche at Bahia de Uvas. Really lovely time and great tour guides! read more

My husband and I did an ATV ride and beach experience through them as an excursion for our cruise ship. I can't say enough good things about them. Pedro, who i will refer to as the leader, was funny, personable, and very thorough with all instructions. The others (I can't remember all their names, but I know some were Mario, Eduardo, Irving, and the bus driver was Gabriel) were also very knowledgeable and I felt 100% safe on this excursion. They made sure we took water breaks every 20 minutes since it was very hot and humid. I highly recommend their group. read more

Jesus and Alberto were great tour guides! We booked the "Tulum Mayan Ruins and Beach Break" excursion through Celebrity Cruises and they ran a tight ship in the best way possible. We were picked up from Cozumel on time via ferry to the mainland, followed by a short walk to the tour bus. They're very organized and make sure we are aware of what's required of us to guarantee a great day. If you're going on a hotter day bring a reusable water bottle and make sure you're ready to walk a minimum of 10,000 steps. Comfortable shoes and the ability to walk on uneven grounds are a must! Following the tour of the ruins we took a short bus ride to a "private" beach and had amazing authentic food followed by an hour or so of swimming. We highly recommend this tour! It was a blast and one that we will definitely tell our friends and family about. read more

We had so much fun doing the Tulum Mayan and Playa del Carmen tour! We booked this excursion through our cruise line, Celebrity Cruises!! We had the wonderful and very sweet Armando! I did not catch the name of the bus driver but he was great. Armando is of Mayan descent so he had great facts about the Tulum ruins and he taught us some Mayan language (basically the names of the cities and how the Spanish converted the names). Overall it was fun and Armando was so personable. He really seems like he loves what he does. Hope to have him as a tour guide in the future! read more

I booked an 8-hour zipline and cenote snorkeling shore excursion through a cruise line over a month in advance. Got up and made it to the meeting point for the tour that started at 7 am only to be informed the tour operator had canceled the trip that morning with no explanation. I had to book a different excursion (at full price) that was not either sold out or had left already. The weather outside was great all day while we were there, so it was not a weather issue. According to my unused ticket, the tour was operated by Operadora Aviomar SA de CV. read more

My fiancé and I went on their "Captain Your Own Speed Boat" excursion when we were in Cozumel and had an amazing time! Between the actual excursion and the service, we were blown away. The excursion itself was a lot of fun and beautiful. The water was choppy on the particular day that we went, so we hit a lot of bumps but I thought it was more fun that way. Aside from how much fun we had, it was also amazing to see how clear the water got as we drove our boat deeper into the sea. I've been to Caribbean beaches before, but it was cool to see the water in a different way than I have in the past. This excursion was supposed to include snorkeling, but the water conditions that day didn't allow for it so they gave us free lunch instead that consisted of fajitas, nachos and cheese quesadillas. There was also a guacamole stand where you can order fresh guacamole and given it's one of my favorite things to eat (and since I was in Mexico), I had to order it. It was easily the best guacamole I've ever had and I only paid $5 for a full serving with a bowl of chips. The last (but certainly not the least) thing to note is the service. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and funny. Everyone else that we encountered at Aviomar was also extremely accommodating. We were truly overwhelmed with how kind everyone was, which is why I felt so compelled to write this review. I will say, if you have back problems then this particular excursion probably isn't for you, but they have other excursions and are definitely worth giving a try if you are ever visiting Cozumel! read more

Truly the best shore excursion I've experienced. They take you out on YOUR OWN speedboat and you get to snorkel on the trip. Then you stop for a bit at the cash bar and food. There's a pool to relax in. I've been on many shore excursions and this by get was the penultimate of excursions. Go here go have fun. I truly had the best experience here. I'd be back in a heartbeat. read more

We had two choices in Cozumel for ATV this tour which left early at 8:15 AM and than the beach after or go later in the day ATV in a cavern and swim there. Since I am a Floridian technically it is Winter so I don't want to be in a cold dark cavern with murky water. Our group met at the pier and headed to the tour bus where we took a 20 minute drive to what our tour guide described as the jungle. Spoiler alert there was no jungle. The only animal he pointed out was an iguana which I get tons of in my back yard at home. We started with a film strip on how to operate an ATV. Frankly I didn't pay attention as I have rode an ATV before and in much more challenging terrain. Than they handed out bandanas so your head wouldn't come in contact with the helmet that was previously worn by numerous other riders. My husband and I chose to hang towards the back of the pack that way we could get in at least a bit of a ride as it is all very controlled in a line bumper to bumper. Translation your grandmother could handle this no problem. They stopped multiple times to add to this fantasy of the jungle once to see the fertility statue I am sure this impressed the honeymooners in the group. Also we stopped where they gave you bottled Mexican water and chips and salsa. Even though the property is large I found we went the same route backwards and forwards. It would take an idiot to think you were in a jungle but rather minutes from the main road. Total time 1.5 hours but this includes the video and three times rest of a non- rigorous adventure. The tour guides were gracious and funny. Would recommend for beginners or the elderly. Neither category do we fall in. read more

We booked the the 4 x 4 tour with speed boats and/or snorkeling in Cozumel through Carnival Cruises on Thursday, March 23, 2023. We had the amazing Ivan and fabulous Jorge as our guides. They were very professional and also warm and welcoming and friendly the entire time. Those two guys are keepers. The location of the group in port was simple and well-organized. The equipment we used was in very good shape, the safety videos were very informative. Even though WE are seasoned 4 x 4 drivers, we knew how important it was to review again. We felt very safe even driving through the city and, even though we weren't supposed to "hot dog" it in the "jungle" which was kind of muddy and stinky (hey, it was what it was - interesting even if we didn't run into a stray panther or wild dog), we had a lot of fun NOT "hot dogging". ;-) Speed boats were so much fun, easy to operate and fast, even in the choppy water. The food and service back at the beach was spectacular! Everyone worked so hard for us to have a great time, and we did! Thanks again to Ivan and Jorge for making this so much fun! Did I mention they are "keepers"? read more

We had the Best time on our speed boat and snorkeling excursion. Johnny and Alberto and their whole crew were great! we got to drive our own two person motor boat! Fast! From taking transportation to Barracuda beach to a small buffet afterward, a guacamole bar and mixed drinks the experience was safe so fun. 1/30/23. M & M Washington state. read more

I thought this was a really nice tour. We went on the atvs and then they brought us to Playa Mia. They show the safety video and put you on the atv and start moving. I for one had never ridden one before so I was struggling for sure and went into the trees twice before I got the hang of it. It was a little embarrassing because you ride in a line and everyone had to stop both times. Maybe they should teach you a little bit more before you head out on the course. Otherwise it was a nice time and the guide was very knowledgeable. I didn't particularly care for learning about the gum tree or fertility statues but it was cute that they tried to make it educational. read more
