I strongly advise caution before hiring Avid Turf. My experience has been a series of costly mistakes and non-existent customer service once payment was collected. The Major Issues: Poor Grading: They eliminated my existing lawn but sloped the new turf toward my house. Now, whenever it rains, water drains directly onto my porch instead of away from my home. I have since had to add a drainage system to account for this oversight. Irresponsible Debris Management: While they removed piping in the main field, they left open, disconnected sprinkler pipes buried under the turf along the edges. Property Damage: Most concerningly, they disconnected the line to one flower bed / palm tree. When that zone turns on, water shoots out from two places, lucky for me the new water geyser is in the next area to be completed, but now i have to figure out how to get water to one large palm tree. The "Paid and Gone" Treatment: I have been attempting to get the associate to rectify these issues since October 26th, 2025. I have saved all text records as proof. Now that they've been paid in full, they refuse to return or respond to my requests. A Warning on Rebates: If you are looking to utilize the Washington County rebate, do your own homework. Avid Turf misrepresented the difficulty of the process. I failed my rebate inspection because they didn't account for the requirement of one large tree or nine small shrubs for an area of this size. Do not rely on their initial "advice" regarding local requirements. I still have one large section of my yard left to do, but I will absolutely be shopping elsewhere. Well this company hires subcontractors to do there installs and then they do not pay there sub contractors I know this cause I'm in process of having to lean properties my company was hired to install lighting for them I'm in florida and I'm still trying to get paid an it's really bad that they hire guys here that do a good job an they are charging a premium price an screwing there subs an the customer truthfully because ultimately my only recourse to be paid is to put a contractor lien on the home I'm trying everything to not have to do that cause the homeowner has already paid them definitely a very poor choice if you need permanent lighting hire local Colton shelley is who my main contact was but I dealt with micah ,Jayden so my last ditch effort to not have to put liens on the properties they owe for the installs I'll start leaving them reviews and warn people of the truths on how they operate if there was a scam star or -5 they would definitely be at a -9 read more

I entered into an agreement to install lights at my house mid-November and the agreement included a date Avid Lights provided of December 17, 2025. The project manager reached out 1 week before my install date per my agreement and let me know they were having staffing issues and needed to more time. I have patiently waited over 1 month since his notice and did not receive any update from my project manager. I attempted to reach out to the sales associate I worked with and he was surprised my lights were not installed after 2 months! By far the WORST experience we have ever had. Aside from Elliott who came and gave us a quote and designed our lights, the rest of the experience with Avid has been a complete nightmare. We signed our contract on October 24th with an estimated installation date of November 14th. On October 27th we reached out to Elliott to see if we could at least get an install date on the calendar so we could arrange our work schedules to be home for the install. We obviously understand that weather could effect this potential install date, but we at least wanted to get some sort of date for install. After asking to get a date on the calendar we were told on November 3rd that they were "just getting all of the materials together and they should be ready to install next week". Then November 11th came and I still hadn't heard anything from anyone, I texted again to follow up and didn't receive a response back. November 12th I texted again to get an idea when install would be because our contract said our install date would be November 14th but I still hadn't heard anything. November 12th I got a text saying that they were "having a hard time securing some of the materials, but that is all cleared up so we can get you on the schedule for next week on Thursday or Friday" I said Thursday would be best cause I'm off work, but then we noticed the weather would potentially be snowy so then were going to see if Wednesday would work since that day was the clearest for weather. I said that's great, just let me know for sure cause if we have to install on a Wednesday, I have to find someone to cover my shift at work. I didn't hear anything back. On Monday November 17th, I text again and asked if Wednesday or Thursday would still work for install. Then I get a text back saying they still "didn't have the track from the manufacturer and they weren't sure they would be able to install this week...." I was confused cause I thought they already cleared everything up with the manufacturer and had all the materials secured. They said the backorder was cleared, but they still didn't have the materials. Another few days went by with no communication, so I text again on Friday November 21st, still no parts. Monday again we check in, they have all the tracks in and can install for us tomorrow (November 25th) Yay! We were so excited! My husband took work off to be there for the installers. We were told they would be there at 9:00 am and the install could take 6-8 hours and they would make sure we were all set up on the app before the installers left. 9:00 came and went.... I text just after 9:30 to get an ETA on the installers. No answer. I text again about 40 minutes later just after 10:00... We still haven't heard from anyone. 10:30 passes... Still no one and I text again just asking for an update. I get a call at 10:50 saying there was a "scheduling issue" and the original installer wouldn't be able to install today but they found another installer that could be to our house in about 2 hours and they would be able to finish the install the same day... 1:00 comes and goes... I text again asking if someone is still coming?? They said they should be and they would follow up with the installer.... 2:30 comes, the director of operations and installs drops off the supplies, says the installer is "right behind him", doesn't say anything else, doesn't apologize for all of the miscommunication or the scheduling issues or anything... He puts the parts down, gets on his phone and drives away. 45 minutes pass and the installer is still not there. I text again and tell them nobody has come even though they said the installer was "right behind him" over 45 minutes ago. They say that they are going to have another installer come out to help so they can still finish the job the same day. The installer gets to our house at 4:30 and says they are missing tracks, they can't do the job, it was getting dark, they didn't have all the right supplies to install "because of the late notice" and they would come back tomorrow. I text about the missing tracks, no answer on the missing tracks TO THIS DAY!!! It's DECEMBER 1st and we have NO idea when our project will be completed. They started the install of the track they already had so we can't cancel our contract now. We are just waiting to hear when they'll be getting the rest of our materials. There has been ZERO communication intiated from Avid on the installation process. I have had to reach out multiple times to get any information and each time I'm completely ghosted. We were assured we would have our lights done before thanksgiving... Now I'm worried we won't even have them done by Christmas. This has by far been the worst customer service experience we have ever had. I would strongly recommend going with another company!!! read more
