During that interview, I was offered employment pending a formal background check and checking with some of my former work supervisors. Four days later I was called and told me that the job offer had been recinded. I was never given a clear reason why this had happened. This is what I know: No formal background check was ever conducted. No one bothered to contact my former employers. I know this because I checked with them. They offered me employment subject to two conditions and then withdrew that offer without even bothering to check on either of those conditions. THEY LIED. I'm pushing sixty years old, and I believe that I have been the victim of age discrimination. By any standards of professional and ethical behavior, their actions were unacceptable, reprehensible and dishonest. These are the people who run the Conklin Center. They are not honest people. The irony is, one of the Conklin Center's missions is to help their clients find employment. I sincerely hope that no potential employer ever treats one of the Conklin Center's clients as shamelessly and as falsely as the Conklin Center has treated me. Their clients deserve better than this. I acted above board and with integrity; all I expected from the Conklin Center and its representatives was to be treated the same. Considering what happened to me, I wonder what other horror stories one would uncover if they scratched beneath the surface. I now work for another nonprofit organization in Volusia County, FL. I have come to understand that the way I was treated by the Conklin Center is consistent with their reputation among the local nonprofit community.

Not one adult addressed me until i was walking out of the class room. They had never met me before and they were gonna just let me walk out with my granddaughter. you would think that this would be a safe daycare because you have to have a code to walk in but everyone has the code! and if you dont have a code they just open the door anyway and never ask who you are and allow you to walk straight to any room you want!!! Needless to say we no longer attend Easter Seals daycare on Dunn Ave!!!!

WTH and said when he got the funding for he said that would cost $375. For my Alternator. He told me I could Zelle him. The money ?!!!! I agreed Then I told him we found it real inexpensive a church purchased and donated the part for him to fix last week that only cost $126 New After Ed installed it last week. I addressed issues right away via numerous text messages & calls to like five phone numbers that he has to include Facebook. There was a loud noise / Fan & my needle was going up on my gauge (never did prior) found out my almost new water pump now leaking ? In addition, he emptied. Never replaced!!!! I could've lost my whole car. Extremely disappointed in this service. Ed . he was going to order me major parts. I even offered to PAY again for important brake light & driver door latch as a door opens. All texts & calls ignored. Many He was supposed to also change the oil on his visit and he told me to make an appointment with Nancy when she was very rude to me today for no reason saying they have no money when they said Advent Health donated them $13,000 that they yet to receive. Again, I offered to get the parts for him to order discount and I would Zelle him the money as he asked before. BTW I qualified for this service and I just feel like I've been ignored. I received horrific injuries to a crime almost 6 months ago. (I can't even afford my co-pays for doctors )I have not worked and much more. I offered numerous times to get the tax free and discounted parts. AGAIN We would Zelle him the money. I'd like to know where he got $375 quote for the alternator.? I offered to do fundraising and more for this organization as he was a veteran. I was very grateful until I felt very disrespected and his attitude a half an hour ago TODAY for no reason ~ My BFF that has worked on my car for many years (13 yrs) now has cancer and was not able to do this work Ed was supposed to call him regarding this noise.
