Wow is all we can say! Our 13 year old Golden was ready to be put down for his own comfort. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were treated so well by the staff all of them![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Followed up with a card sent to our home for support.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reasonable costs. Simply amazing people. Cannot recommend enough! Thank you ALL! Mark and Erin C

    Priceless!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dr. Janelle Starr and her staff are AMAZING![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No one ever wants to visit an animal hospital, but if you do, this one is EXCELLENT. When our pup had sever vomiting in a 4 hour period we knew we needed to make sure it was not serious. We were greeted and within 3 minutes had a tech out to triage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We met with the dr who was so friendly, supportive and took her time to explain the blood, X-ray and ultrasound results.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She was very concerned but offered a plan for us to monitor over 12 hours and come back to redo the X-ray to see if there was improvement. The anti-nausea med and sub-q fluids did the trick. She slept all night. The recheck showed such improvement and that whatever bowel obstruction was suspected, had moved further down and intestines looked back to normal. What could have been a very expensive surgery, turned into a practical, cautious and effective plan. I will bring my animals here without hesitation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you Dr. Starr & Staff![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'm not sure how many stars to really give when you're grieving because you have to put your dog down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called to give them a heads up, upon arrival we barely received a greet, they took our aging 15 year old dog to get examined just to return to say we are making the right decision to put her down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (due to loss of mobility, quality of life (nerve/neurological damage) Which we were aware of. While waiting in the bereavement room for about 15 -20 minutes (while no others were waiting ) as sad as it is we just wanted to get it over with; suddenly I heard a female laugh loud enough to be heard it in the room so we decided to leave. Save your jokes for your break not while you know someone is waiting in the bereavement room next to where you have our beloved dog. However, we are at peace our Shelby is no longer suffering.

    All Stitched Up

Visited AVECCC Buckeye on a Tuesday afternoon after my dog had run into a rusty pole the night before resulting in a 1 inch split in his face. We were seen immediately and given an itemized estimate for stitches, which included some lab work, medications, and a collar/cone. Immediately they were very transparent about costs and what they felt was absolutely necessary based on Pax only being just over two years old and his excellent physical condition! After a very open discussion, we were able to reduce the bill considerably based on deciding what was absolutely necessary. We were even given options to purchase other items outside for less money. I always assumed an ER visit, especially to the vet was going to result in huge costs and an unpleasant financial decision-making experience! This was the absolute opposite, and I can't stress enough how wonderful this facility is not only how clean it is, but the way the staff treats and works with you. If you're ever in a jam and need emergency pet services on the west side, I highly recommend AVECCC Buckeye based on an extremely positive experience today!

Most were either closed or not taking walk-ins. The Complete Pet Animal Hospital immediately stood out for their amazing customer service. Even though they were fully booked, they still managed to fit her in within the hour, which was so appreciated. As soon as I made the appointment, my sister-in-law dropped everything, left work, and took her fur baby right away. My sister-in-law couldn't stop raving about the experience. She said Isa and Hanah at the front desk were so friendly and welcoming and Dr. Cruz was absolutely the best...kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about animals.

I don't remember his drs name but she didnt suggest surgery right away when most places would have tried to! I really appreciated them, such great people! also the place has such a cute vibe. It's pink, music on, and the rooms are all decorated!

I can't thank them enough for prioritizing her health and our feelings as pet parents. It was a rough week battling parvovirus, but we took things day by day with their detailed instructions. She is now back to her silly and vibrant self. Like any first time dog parent, I didn't have pet insurance or the guidance to know what to do in such a scary moment. Time was crunching and my baby Akira needed care ASAP. AZPetVet understood the urgency of my puppy's needs and got her in immediately. At this point I had called about 8 vets and was about to drive 5 hours up north to see a vet on the reservation. Each place I called understood the urgency but wasn't able to accommodate us. AZPetVet immediately conquered all as they were able to set up a payment plan through a third party company which allows us to make interest-fee payments every month. You do have to put down 20% the day of the visit, but it's much better than paying in full. I also appreciated how AZPetVet routinely called us to make sure Akira was doing well and answered any questions I had. Thanks to AZPetVet, I got to celebrate Akira's first birthday (despite her being sick) and now we get furr-ever with her! Thank you AZPetVet for all you do!!!

I was a loyal customer at Goodyear Animal Hospital for over 10 years. Unfortunately, since Lovet…read moretook over, my experience has steadily declined. About a year ago, my dog tore her ACL (I believe it's called a CCL in dogs). We were referred to the Glendale location for surgery. While preparing for the procedure, they mentioned she was coming up on her rabies vaccine. She had always been on the 3-year rabies schedule and was around 8 years old at the time. They offered to administer the vaccine during surgery, and given that my focus was on getting her through the operation, I agreed without hesitation. Fast forward to now, I received an email stating her rabies vaccine was due. That didn't make sense since she has consistently been on the 3-year vaccine. When I stopped by to pick up Zoee's medication, the front desk staff acknowledged it appeared to be the same dosage and said they would message the vet to see if the record could simply be corrected to reflect the 3-year vaccine. Less than an hour later, a vet tech called and told me Zoee would need to come in for another rabies shot regardless. I explained the situation, but was told it didn't matter. After going back and forth, I said I would bring her in, but I did not feel I should have to pay an exam fee for what appears to be a documentation error on their end. I even asked for a veterinarian to call me directly to discuss it, but no one ever did. It's disappointing after being a customer for over a decade to feel like concerns are dismissed and that the focus is more on fees than accountability or communication. Based on my recent experiences, I would encourage others to carefully consider their options before bringing their pets here.

When I picked him up, he was completely panicked--jumping, uncontrollable, and clearly not in a condition that felt safe to take home. I questioned it, but was told he was "fine." The next day, he showed significant swelling and signs of pain that didn't seem normal. We were told to text or call with any concerns and that post-op checks would be no charge--but when I reached out, I got no response. Calls were routed elsewhere, and we were essentially ignored during a time that felt urgent. After finally reaching another location, we were told to bring him in immediately. He was prescribed additional medications, but the issues continued--swelling, inflammation, and abnormal discharge. When we returned again, the recommendation was either a costly culture test or to continue the same treatment, despite ongoing symptoms. At that point, we were also told future follow-ups might be charged, which contradicted what we were originally told. The biggest issue here isn't just the complications--it's the lack of communication, responsiveness, and consistency in care. When something goes wrong after surgery, you need to be able to reach your vet and feel supported. That wasn't our experience. I would strongly caution anyone who values reliable post-operative care and communication to think carefully before choosing this clinic.

I'm beyond aggravated b/c they are not patient-centered here. Probably okay if you are just doing annual exams or vaccines but if you have an animal who needs ongoing, comprehensive care you'll need to take out a second mortgage to get quality care here. I do not recommend because they saw my dog for a full appointment, complete with full blood panel, then, two weeks later demanded my dog be seen for another full appointment before prescribing pain treatment for him. Ridiculous.

After recently moving our dog over, I couldn't be happier with the care, honesty, and genuine compassion this team shows. The staff is incredible, never once have they tried to upsell treatments or medications. They only recommend what's truly needed, and that kind of integrity is rare. A beautiful example of their heart, we adopted two sweet cats that were born there because their mom was rescued as a stray, completely free, because they just wanted to see them in a loving home. Now, all five of our animals will be coming here for their care. The clinic itself is clean, well-organized, and respectful. One small but deeply meaningful touch they light a candle whenever a pet is crossing the rainbow bridge, honoring them with such tenderness. This place goes above and beyond. We're beyond grateful to have found them.

Furthermore, they will not consider the heart of an animal or its owner. What they will consider is how anything they say can be used against them, caring only about being paid, making the way they conduct their business to be cold and devoid of any compassion whatsoever. Both Dr. Russo and Dr. Boyd were unable to take a single iota of accountability for the following proceedings: I brought my cat in for two visits last week due to bladder stones, on a Monday and Thursday morning, and still ended up in the ER that Thursday afternoon. Why? Because after conducting two exams, an ultrasound, and two x-rays, aside from selling me some prescription cat food, they did absolutely nothing to treat my pet--only tell me that "he has stones in his bladder and he is high risk for a blockage." That's it. When I took my pet to the ER, the vet there looked at the same x-ray taken at GH and proceeded to treat him with a bladder flush. I called GH the next day to ask why they couldn't do that kind of a treatment themselves when they had my pet in their care. They told me, "that would have put us over working hours." When I asked why they didn't even suggest or inform me of such a treatment, I got no response whatsoever.... Just a bunch of deflection, blame shifting, and excuses. They twisted truth, manipulated the course of events, and made a series of logical fallacies in a feeble attempt to deflect their responsibility. In a business such as veterinary care, I'd imagine that if a clinic was to obtain any prestige at all, it wouldn't necessarily be due to only efficient knowledge of the practice, but PRIMARILY due to meeting the needs of the patients/families. GH did neither. Instead, they kept withholding treatment and information, like a can being kicked down a road, in an arguable attempt to keep getting money out of me with no indication of ever treating my animal. Thank God, the ER whom I took my pet to referred me to Complete Pet Animal Hospital and that is exactly where my pet is getting the treatment he deserved a week ago when I took him to GH. A complete night and day difference. If you're getting your needs met at GH, then I am happy for you. However, be wary, be on guard. One thing is certain, these people have not only lost my patronage, but they have also guaranteed that if I am ever asked if I can recommend a vet clinic in the area, let alone the state of AZ, GH can be assured that I will share this story again and again. This place has no "heart."
