Gripwerx is conveniently located on the second floor of Redmond Town Center, and features a setup of racing simulators for an immersive experience. I've only seen a racing rig at PAX, so it was cool to see the number of setups for Formula and GT simulation. You pay for each 15-minute segment ($20 each) with a special buy three, get one session free deal. They also have all day passes available for purchase, which is great as a weekend activity. Gripwerx takes drop-in visitors but I also recommend booking a session online to guarantee a spot. Knowing that it's a simulation, you probably wouldn't think there's a physical aspect to it, but after an hour of immersive driving, my husband said that it did take some focus. With a variety of car models and courses available in their inventory, including local tracks like Pacific Raceways, Gripwerx was a fun experience and he'll definitely be going back for more!

It was very fun and saw lots and lots and lots of cool cars from the classics to celebrity owners vehicles to some personal vehicles and well. I would say it last maybe around like a good 30-45 min of checking the place out and then towards the end they have a little I guess restaurant area where you can eat for a bit, there was a very long wait but thankfully the hostess got us in asap so was very thankful for that gesture! Their food was ok but I did love the vibes since there's a window you could look at to some more cars and stuff while you're eating.

And it is quite a lovely venue for a meeting or conference or party. The building itself is reminiscent of a Cape Cod building, complete with periwinkle exterior with white trip. The meeting room is upstairs and it can accommodate at least 100 people (my meeting here recently had approximately 50 people in attendance, and the room was half full, at most). What I particularly liked most was the adjacent, large balcony-patio which overlooks a large pool, the marina here at this yacht club and Lake Washington. On a summer day, the views from this patio are beautiful. I can see this being a great venue for a wedding. There is also a full kitchen available beside the meeting room for food prep and clean up. The ladies' room downstairs was spacious, with a huge adjacent changing room (I presume for people changing to use the pool) and a nearby shower (again, for people using the pool facilities). I assume the mens' room is similarly furnished. There's a ton of parking available here in the lot. Very nice venue on the eastside!

Overall I wasn't too impressed with the area, I was hoping for something that looked more dated , the front desk girl was polite but wasn't welcoming, she said what needs to be said when we entered the club. I was so excited to visit this place but I would say that my friend and I were not that impressed! It just looked like a big house with a lawn and some boats in front, I mean nothing special that I would recommend my friends to host parties here.

A free wine club with awesome events!…read more I've recently joined the club and been to two events. You get newsletters each month telling you what's going on. They have fancy events and not-so fancy, but they are never pretentious. I always feel comfortable asking questions at the pouring events and have sampled some really great wines. The best event so far was in Woodinville where I got to taste 2-3 wines at 15 wineries for only $15! That's a GREAT deal for us folks who love wine but aren't rolling in the money. All you need to make a great evening is a designated driver!

Gig Harbor Yacht Club is a delight - Rent Here! I had the…read morepleasure of assisting with an event held at the Gig Harbor Yacht Club last night and was so impressed! Having planned and executed many events, I can absolutely see why my friends picked this location. Here are just a few reasons why I was impressed: The view is lovely, and the location is perfect! The Yacht Club could not have been better to work with! Forgive me, the gentleman who was in charge was incredible but, for the life of me, I cannot remember his name! If I figure it out, I will absolutely let you know! There is A LOT of parking! Yay! They have a spacious entry (with a coat rack, thank you very much) making registration a breeze. Lots and lots of round tables and cushioned chairs - no, really. Not a single folding chair to be found! The main banquet area is so well laid out. They also have a spacious bar area with a delightful herd of tall cocktail tables in the back. Julia, who ran the bar that night, along with her assistant, Mitch, were rock stars! Fast and Fabulous! They were professional and always had a smile, I love that. As you walk in, you see a lot of room for lots of tables without it seeming tight. A giant, pulldown screen for projection. A nice podium (having been a teacher for a decade, I know podiums!). A pretty terrific sound system with (I am guessing they are part of the package, but not absolutely sure...you may need to check with them) nice microphones! They were so great about adjusting the volumes for the music and the speakers, as needed. Great lighting!! A GIANT PRO KITCHEN! Again, you will need to find out what is available to rent. We had a caterer, but the kitchen is gorgeous! NICE BATHROOMS!!! YAY!!! Seriously, this is a fantastic rental space. You really should consider it; you will thank me!

The Club had plenty of parking space. The bar area is large and well furnished and there's plenty of space for a 4 piece band. The main seating area could have hosted 200 people with great tables and chairs. There's plenty of dance floor space between the bar and band area. The kitchen was very good and well outfitted for our caterers needs. I didn't give GHYC all 5 stars because we did have few issues that were partly the clubs responsibilities and partly our caterers. GHYC is very reasonable priced and the Event Manager was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process!

I have a feeling mahjong is becoming the new pickleball! If you've been curious about learning, this is a great place to give it a try. came to seattle mahjong club as one of the things i did on my trip to seattle !!…read more people's first two visits to seattle mahjong club are free to get you familiarized with mahjong and the people at the club. so this was super nice heh. they also have free snacks and drinks that are available to members and visitors ! kristine was my host for today and she was super welcoming, accommodating and warm. kristine is also an amazing teacher and taught well. our table had two mahjong first timers and we both got familiarized with mahjong in less than two hours wow. one of the nicest groups of people ever i'm from california so i'm sad i won't be able to come by after :(
