Her knowledge and compassion immediately put me at ease. She recommended a septoplasty along with additional procedures, all completed in a single procedure that took less than an hour. Also a big thanks to Trisha who walked me through the process and provided me my insurance coverage information. I had my procedure done at the Long Beach location and was just as impressed. Lauryn and Megan were incredibly kind, calming, and welcoming--they truly made me feel comfortable and cared for throughout the entire process. Dr. Sigari did an outstanding job; the procedure was far less painful than I expected with local anesthesia, and everything was handled with precision and care. Overall, my experience at both the Marina Del Rey and Long Beach offices was beyond incredible. The entire team created an environment that was professional, reassuring, and genuinely compassionate. The cost itself was not my main issue. My issue is that only after I had paid the full amount and completed my final visit with the doctor, I was told that I supposedly owed an additional $1,600 because the office and doctor "did not get paid for the procedure." This additional charge was never clearly disclosed or brought to my attention beforehand. Receiving an unexpected bill of $1,600 after paying more than $10,000--and after the procedure and final appointment were completed--was completely unacceptable. I found the situation outrageous, misleading, and extremely unprofessional. Patients deserve complete transparency regarding all charges before agreeing to and paying for a medical procedure. Based on this billing experience, I have lost trust in this office and would not return or recommend it to anyone considering a procedure.

Every year when I would request to have follow up skin tests to see how it was working, I was told he hadn't been on them long enough. I repeatedly would ask when he could be retested as I did not want to put anything into his body that was not helping him, or that was no longer necessary. Today when I called the office, they told me it was standard to retest after one year of treatment! I shared that my son had been on the treatment for THREE years, and that I've asked to have him retested annually. Even after acknowledging that retesting should happen after one to two years, they still wouldn't let me schedule an appointment for skin testing, and said I would have to have an office visit with the doctor first. It feels irresponsible and negligible to continue to have a child on medication that they may not need. There were multiple requests to measure how the immunotherapy was working and I was told no. This was over multiple calls to re-order vials, and video visits with Dr. Tachdjian. We will not be returning to this office.

It took me MONTHS to be able to eat normally again and I had panic attacks for a week from the violation of my consent. I just had a really bad fall and hurt my knee but I can't bring myself to come in to have it looked at because I feel so violated and unsafe from my treatment here. Patients have the right to decline being weighed, but this practice has surprise attack exam tables that weigh you without your consent.

He listens attentively when I tell him about symptoms I've been experiencing and plans out clear, logical steps to address them. Anytime he's referred me to be tested for something, he's followed up with me about the results within a day or two of the test. He's smart, genial, and well-connected to great specialists around LA. I totally trust him to manage my healthcare. If you live in the West LA area and are looking for a primary care physician, you can't do any better than Dr. Uyeki.

Dr. Uyeki does not take United Health Care Insurance anymore even though UHC's website for 2019…read moresays that he is in Network for 2019. The Dr. says that they have not been with UHC for years but UHC says otherwise. This doctor is very selective about the types of insurance he accepts, and the plans in each insurance company he accepts so before coming here I would first call the insurance company to confirm and then double confirm with Dr. Uyeki's office. This can change year by year so always check each Jan 1 as doctors dip in and out of insurance networks. This Office is closed on Thursdays. They speak fluent Japanese here and that clientele makes up a large part of their practice. This Dr. also does not do x-rays in office anymore but does do blood draws and then sends them out. He used to take blood and x-rays and develop them in office--no more. On my most recent annual exam in 2018 on a Friday, he called me the next day on a Saturday to say all the blood results are okay that he had results on before all were completed. By the following Monday the rest of the results were in but he did not call again to say those were okay--I suspect because there was no problem. But after looking after all the results I saw that one test was not ordered that usually is every year (PSA) so I called the office to report that and they got it tested that week. He did not call on that result, I guess because it was okay. The long and short is that with the way medicine is practiced in Los Angeles for years and the influence of Insurance Companies--you need to be very proactive and keep records to compare on your own. The blood draws here are professional and leave no mark. You have to pay for parking in this building. The staff is pleasant. If you don't have insurance, they do take cash--call and ask them for a quote. This office is part of Cedar Sinai and if they refer you it will most likely be to a Cedar doctor.
