Anthony was my inspector. He was very thorough and professional. If I ever need another inspection, I will be calling Avalon.

The inspector did a nice job doing an inspection on the house lots of pictures and he explained a lot of the things that were wrong and what we should do as a report. The problem that I do have is the office had a lack of communication with me read more

I hired Avalon to perform three home inspections for my new house -- pre-drywall, closing, and the 11-month warranty inspection. They provided a discounted quote for all three, which I accepted. While the first two inspections were completed, when it came time for the 11-month inspection, they refused to honor the original agreement and attempted to charge 20% more. This lack of integrity and professionalism is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. read more

Avalon home inspection provides excellent service. Dustin was our home inspector and he was so patient kind and professional. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing and answer all of our questions and did not seem impatient at all. We really appreciate all of his expertise and ability to break down the process and all of the things that he was noticing throughout the house we were inspecting. I would definitely recommend Avalon Home inspection to other home buyers. They are very thorough and if any of the other, inspectors are like Dustin you know you will be in good hands read more

This is my second time using Avalon for a pre-purchase home inspection, and once again they exceeded my expectations. Their detailed reports are exceptional in comparison to most home inspectors. And their prices are very comparable to the competition. I highly recommend Jesus Moreno and Dustin Robinson based on the exceptional Job each of them did on my two inspections. They provided all of the necessary information to assist in my home purchase decisions. read more

Thank you Dusten and Dylan for the home inspection. The very detailed summary of everything helps me understand and visualize what all issues need to be fixed. read more

My foundation is collapsing in another item missed during inspection because my inspector never went into the crawl space. I paid 2 times for inspection and daily I find more issues that should have been caught/spotted during my first inspection. First time homebuyer remorse... read more

We are very pleased with the prompt and thorough inspection of our prospective home. Tracy Wilson prepared a detailed, informative report that was returned to us quickly. This company was referred via our realtor and we won't hesitate to recommend them further. read more

I've used Avalon twice for home inspections. Their reports are very detailed and include many pictures. They are always on time. They follow up and are willing to answer any questions a buyer may have. The additional services they offer to buyers are great! read more

Great company! Scheduling was easy (online) and they even managed to squeeze us in earlier than scheduled. They were in constant communication about the inspection, and even checked in the day before to make sure we were there at the right time rather than wait around. Tyler was a rockstar. He was done by the time he said he would be. His report was very detail oriented. He took the time to explain things to us after the inspection and even did a walkthrough to point out a few important things. Prices may be higher than some competitors but still very fair. For the quality of the job, I think they are very well worth it. Definitely recommend their services!! Scheduling = 5/5 Communication = 5/5 Price = 4/5 Quality = 5/5 Overall = 5/5 read more

If it is a home inspection that you need and you want it done right, you want to choose Avalon Home Inspections. They were prompt and even called us to see if they could come out a day early to give us peace of mind. Special shout out to Mr. Carter who was just a sweetheart to talk on the phone. He was very thorough and informative. If excellent customer service is important to you ... Ron and Joy will happily start you on your way. Choose AHI ... it will be one of the best decisions you will have ever made! read more

Used Avalon on recommendation from my realtor. Easy to schedule online. Had to reschedule once and it was not an issue. Tanner was thorough and explained all the items requiring my attention. I was not looking for little things but any thing dangerous or not to code. Very pleased with report and the fact he climbed into the gross parts of the house.. attic space, um, no thank you. read more

I'm sure it's tech-specific, but my home indie toon was garbage. *They wrote that they could freely open all the windows--which I found out after i moved in are all painted shut. *They wrote that the plumbing looked good--there was a very obvious leak under the kitchen sink. *They wrote that my HVAC system was probably installed in the mid 2000s--it has "1996" written on the front of it in sharpie. Just found that out when the whole system died and my HVAC repair person pointed at the very visible and obvious date. I'm always uneasy about the quality of my home because I know that a true professional has never inspected it. My friends who are realtors agree that the quality of inspections with this company are all over the place. read more

My realtor booked Avalon and I checked Google and yelp and found rave reviews so I went with them. Tracy Wilson was my inspector and I thought the whole thing would only be an hour but Tracy was there for a very long time being extremely thorough. As a buyer you want that! From now on I'll only be using Avalon. He was also very detailed in the walk through. They are great! read more

Dusten Robinson was extremely professional! He called me immediately after he was done with inspecting the home I'm interested in purchasing. He was very thorough and reviewed the highlights and also mentioned the areas that needed attention. Although this is only my second inspection at this point in my life. I would definitely recommend this business based off my interaction that Dusten made simple, personal and seamless! read more

DO NOT Hire them for pre-sale Home Inspections. They do not do what they say they do on the report. Based on my experience, I purchased a house that they claimed to have tested the Electrical system. Upon occupying the house, 10 out of the 14 outlet's on the first floor did not work. This involved 2 circuits and both were mis-wired. One outlet was starting to burn and would have eventually caught fire. It is not possible they tested these outlets. Upon notifying them, there response was essentially "Oh-Well". HORRIBLE!! read more

Avalon did an incredible job with our home inspection. Alex was our inspector and he was extremely thorough in his report. We were present for the inspection and he answered any and all questions that we had. It was clear he really knew what he was talking about, and offered helpful suggestions about how to mitigate issues that he found. Overall, my husband and I were very satisfied with Avalon's service and expertise. read more

Hannah was amazing. She had great attention to detail, she was very thorough and explained many items. Her professionalism was spot on and she made sure I had no questions. Hannah is the type of individual who takes pride in her work and her ability to address concerns when necessary. Avalon did an awesome job inspecting the home we're purchasing. I called on Wednesday and we got an appointment Saturday morning. I dropped in during the inspection to show them a hairline crack in the master bathroom floor and Dylan, the inspector, had already found it. Dylan was thorough and super polite. Very happy with their inspection. read more

The best home inspectors around! Very knowledgeable, arrives on time and you receive the report the same day. I've used and recommended this company for over 10 years with zero complaints. read more

I had an excellent experience with this company and it's inspector Dusten Robinson. I was visiting family from out of town for the Christmas holiday and placed an offer on a home (unexpectedly!) while there. Despite the New Year holiday, Avalon was responsive and enabled me to satisfy my contingency inspection promptly. Dusten was prompt, professional and personable. He conducted a conscientious and extensive inspection of my potential home yet was helpfully responsive to my questions and those of my daughter attending as well. Avalon's report platform provides detailed and organized documentation of all findings prioritized as to severity of concern with recommended remediations. Further, this company provides a 90 day warranty of properly functioning items at inspection (see terns) along with a concierge service. In addition, Avalon offers another extended warranty option for 18 months through a business partner. Compared with my previous home inspection experiences I consider Avalon's a premier service. Both Avalon and Dusten receive my highest satisfaction rating. Thank you:). read more

Meredith and Eric were extremely professional and provided fast and courteous service. The home inspection was done thoroughly.

Great service! Explains everything to the T. Helps you understand everything thats going on & what neess to be done

Inspector tripped a circuit during the inspection and could not figure out how to get it back on or what it controlled. Told my tenants that they needed to figure out what circuit he had tripped because he couldn't figure it out. THEN HE LEFT. My tenants, one who had just gone through a knee replacement surgery, the other with congestive heart failure, had no idea about electrical circuits and couldn't physically search for the problem. 3 days later they figured it out. The inspector had tripped the GFCI outlet to their freezer in the garage and $250 worth of meat they had just stocked the freezer with had spoiled in the Georgia heat of August. The electrical outlet that had been tripped is located directly below the electrical panel in the garage and the outlet can be easily seen from the side of the freezer. Avalon Home Inspections also did NOT inform either realtor that their inspector had tripped the circuit and had left the house unable to fix it. When I contacted Tanner at the company, he refused to reimburse us for the spoiled meat. Kept speaking of company protocols and would not take responsibility for his employee's unprofessionalism and incompetence. I asked to speak to the owner, Joe Kelly, several times, but Tanner refused to put me through to him. My realtor had the same response from Tanner and also advised him that she would not be recommending his company to her clients in the future. This is unacceptable behavior from any business, and $250 doesn't seem like a lot to maintain a good reputation not to mention the loss of future business. I don't think this was a smart management move. I would still like to speak to the owner, Joe Kelly, and am still trying to contact him. Joe, if you read this, please contact me. read more

I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about the entire team at Avalon. I called several companies to get quotes and Avalon was the only one who immediately followed up via email with a quote and sample inspection. Tanner Hall did an exceptional job inspecting a single-family home I had considering purchasing, but after his unbelievably detailed report, I decided to not go through with it. Riki Mitchell went above and beyond to assist me on scheduling my next inspection and went to great lengths to make sure I was satisfied. With home inspections being one of the most important steps of the arduous and sometimes frustrating home-buying process, it's comforting to know that you have a company you can count on to make the process easier. read more

Tyler and Benny were outstanding!!! I'm purchasing from Cali and own a real estate co been in the Buisness many years and I have never experienced the level of knowledge and client service that I experienced today I am sooooo appreciative for the yelp review on Tyler which prompted me to scheduled with him Will definitely refer Tyler and Avalon whenever I have the opportunity to do so read more

Avalon has helped me with 2 home inspections over the past 5 years, both in Henry county. I'd like to preface that I worked with another inspection company in Cobb county a month and a half ago - and I was appalled at all of the items I saw during the home showing that weren't in the inspection report (roof damage, wood rot on windows, door seals, electrical hazards). And I paid $200 more than Avalon charged for the same size home in Henry Co. Jake always does a great job with communicating with his clients before and after inspections to make sure that he covers all of your concerns and to go over any issues if there are any. He's very thorough and his reports show how detailed he is. Timeliness is impeccable - I've received reports for both homes within a few hours of the inspections. I would highly recommend Avalon to anyone who is looking to get what they pay for and then some. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would! This whole situation is extremely sad and it even pains me to have to write this review. I have mulled over it for many months but things just continue to get worse and worse! Avalon was who my year long working realtor chose for us to do all our home inspections. She claimed to always use him, trusted him and never had any issues. Not being at all from this area or state, we jumped right in and used everyone she recommended. Not only that, but all his reviews seem to be great! I mean, who would hesitate with these reviews? We bought a $625k home and it has been a living nightmare! A 6,000 sf home with an 8,000 sf barn and nothing but problems! Too many to actually even list in this review, it limited my word count! Roof has leaked majorly twice, not notated in report. All windows in the home had to be replaced as the home wasn't even livable in their inspected state; they were literally screwed in to the walls to prevent them from falling out, wildlife was getting in to the home. However, report claimed brick molding needed some repairs and the windows just needed some paint. Not even close! A breezeway had so much damage it was a death trap. Avalon stated it needed a couple bricks replaced and a hand rail. That cost us $10k to repair to safety standards! Our basement leaked due to poor construction and a sump pump that dumped on to the basement wall. The pumps plug was notated in the report but not the faulty construction/location of the pump and drainage system! The contractors state that the mold growth has been active down there way prior to our purchase. Toilet that was noted as needing seal, needed so much work it leaked through or ceiling twice and was due to tile being over a flange and the toilet not being able to be screwed on properly. We have exceeded $50k in repairs in 3 months and had to take out a loan to keep going with all the major problems Avalon failed to find. Every week there has been a new major problem with this home. It may actually bankrupt us. We are just so disgusted! Don't even ask me about how much we have spent for lawyer consults to see if there can be repercussion! read more

Just had our inspection this weekend. Jason was awesome. He really helped us understand what was and wasn't a cause for concern. As a first time home buyer this was really helpful. He even gave us some general tips on repairs and future things to be aware of. We got the report same day and it was also really well laid out. Every item had a picture showing what was going on and how to tackle it. The warranties that we got with the inspection are a nice bonus too. It was a little bit more expensive (although certainly reasonable, just not the cheapest) than a couple other quotes I got but I feel it was well worth it! Ask for Jason Vaughn, he was awesome and really made the whole experience better. I'll update this post if needed but I really can't complain about the excellent service and helpful staff. read more

I HIGHLY reccomend Avalon. Joe has inspected two homes for us as we were trying to buy a home for our daughter. Joe was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. He explained risks and the estimated costs for repairs. He more than one said, "If this were my daughter...". I was sold. We have purchased a home he inspected. read more

Joe is very thorough, and I appreciated how quick the came back.I would recommend this company to anyone. At first I thought the price was steep, but once I compared them to other companies, they all are in the same bracket. read more

They were incredibly professional and detailed. The report we received explained things in a way we could understand. 5 stars!

Joe has done two home inspections for us in our home buying search, and we are very satisfied with the service provided! The reports are very high quality, and are helpful in negotiations and for planning maintenance and projects to upkeep the home to high standards. Joes estimates of construction work were right in line with what our contractor stated, and we actually decided to terminate a home contract based on his findings. In summary, Joe brings a plethora of industry experience and will give you the information you need to make a good decision about your home purchase! Highly recommended. read more

I used Avalon Home Inspections and they did a terrible job inspecting my home. I probably wouldn't have purchased the home or would've mad e the seller correct the problem if I've known prior to purchasing. There was damage to the roof that was very obvious and wasn't noted. One week after closing it rained and it caused damage to my home interior. The RWS home warranty that they push on you didn't cover any of the damages. I advise everyone not to use them nor purchase RWS home warranty. read more

We have used Avalon Home Inspection on a few properties and have never, even once, been concerned with the quality of their work. We have tried other inspection companies in the past and would never consider any one else but Avalon for our current and future inspection needs. Avalon Home Inspections was great. I only took away a star because of a mishap with the home address. Everything about the inspector and the subsequent inspection once he began at the correct address was outstanding. The inspection was thorough and the inspector took his time to inspect every area of the home, and then go over the findings with myself and my client. I definitely will be using them again. read more

Avalon Home Inspections is the only Inspection company I refer my clients to. Jeff Bates is hands down the most thorough inspector I've ever worked with. These guys really are the best in the business! read more

My husband and i were more than impressed with the detailed reports that we received from Avalon. They more than exceeded our expectations. The pictures were clear and they picked up on things that we did not even notice. I also appreciated the FYI's that they gave which made us aware of certain issues that were not pressing but could become an issue later on. I would absolutely encourage anyone to use this company when buying a home. read more
