The team that came out to do the job were so efficient and did a beautiful job. It makes me happy every time I see what a difference it made in our home. AWFUL staff at concord pike store! stopped by the store last week at 9:35, doors were locked(they open 9:30) . employees were just standing around and saw me at the door. I called the store and received a snarky comment that they don't open until 9:30, I said it's almost 9:40. A young girl opened the door, turned around and didn't even greet me. Anna helped me, she was very pleasant to work with. Anna scheduled me for an appointment at 11:00 today. My husband and I arrived, asked for Anna and were told "she's not here" . We explained that we had an appointment at 11, the lady at the counter said Anna called out. So the lady at the counter turns to several coworkers and asks "can anyone help these customers ", Justin SHOUTS NO, no one else responded. So the lady at the counter said she would help us. The woman attempted to find our file but couldn't locate it so I gave her my copy. She had great difficulty understanding which tiles were for floor vs niche and walls. She seemed very agitated when we asked questions and there was lots of sighing. we seemed to be a bother as she walked away rather than stay and help us. After 2 bad experiences we decided we didn't think they would be a good company to work with. I walked over to customer service and voiced my disappointment with their service. If they had one decent stand up person they would have offered to turn this awful experience around, no one said anything. read more

While I'm at the tail end of my enormous house renovation, I will never forget the absolutely amazing service I received at Avalon in S Philly. Angela Ashley was there for me from day 1. I was clearly overwhelmed but she knew exactly how much space to give and when to jump in with a suggestion. I went back several times.. samples, more samples, photos, suggestions, ideas, ups and downs. Renovations can be emotional, so I've learned, but Angela was like my rock. We just had new floors & carpet installed. STEPHANIE - sales coordinator- was excellent- 5 stars. She recommended a laminate rather than a hardwood floor because it's a more sturdy choice. Her advice on color coordination was spot on. Everything looks well coordinated. Laminate was the way to go. Stephanie was always available to answer any questions & facilitated everything. Avalon installers showed up on time & were polite & courteous. They made minimal mess even though we had hard wood, carpeting ripped out & the floor leveled with cement. I gave them a 4 star instead of a 5 because we had just gotten a new paint job in house & portions of baseboards are scuffed, dented & we need painters to return for repairs. I understand that some nicks are inevitable- but that is why I gave them a 4. Overall, I am very pleased with the job. I definitely recommend Avalon flooring & will use them in the future. read more

Yikes!!! There was some yellow stain that started to form from our molding! My brand new floor is creaking and looks feels like it was sinking in! It's only been a year since my installation, so I freaked. This time around, i did not go thru any of the Philadelphia staff.. All the numbers I dialed were NJ numbers, to the people that helped me last year. Thankfully the three people that I worked with this time didn't shuffle me around or give me any lame excuses. They listened to my concern, scheduled appointments, came out to fix the issue. And done. Why couldn't they have been like this when I worked with them last year. Lord knows.
