In 2012 they designed, measured and installed plantation shutters for all windows and custom shades for doors/sliding doors in my new home. All 52 were reasonably priced, fit like gloves and have worked perfectly. Most recently, they have helped me install three large custom Hunter Douglas shades in a 45 year old condominium. To be honest, there isn't a straight line/angle in the building and the blackouts weren't 100% blackout at first. However, the staff worked patiently and responsively with me until I was 100% satisfied. This is a great business that will take care of any window treatment needs you may have.

I contacted blinds plus after performing my due diligence for several months. Carl came out within days of my reaching out for a consultation. He thoroughly answered my questions, ran through my product options and took measurements. He was knowledgeable and personable. Within a day or less he provided us with a quote and within 6 weeks of the quote and deposit being paid we had plantations shutters installed throughout our home. The installation was handled by Jared and Luke. They were courteous professional and efficient. The entire 19 window installation was completed within less than 3 hours. The men were amiable and took pride in their work. I have spent a great portion of my career in the customer experience channel and I was super impressed by how well this business is being run. If you haven't surmised by now - I highly recommend Blinds Plus!

The Cape Atlantic team is tremendous. I had the pleasure of dealing with John, the founder, in…read moreconnection with a new construction project where "getting it right" was essential. John had a particular skill at helping me stay focused on both design and functional quality. While cost was certainly a factor, John was candid about the risks of a cost-only mindset. Instead, he helped with understanding the various alternatives around blinds, shades, and shutters as well as features like automation, top-down, bottom up, etc. He also helped us in realizing that a higher-end automated shade has decorative appeal limiting the need for curtains (a great design tip). In the end, we bought high quality products which were installed with excellent service and the functional and decorative value exceeded my expectations. In terms of pricing, I am comfortable with the value for fees. Cape Atlantic was cost competitive and the quality and service was exceptional.

Our experience with Avalon Flooring was a nightmare. There were repeated mistakes, poor…read moreworkmanship, and major delays. They installed vinyl in the wrong bathroom and even inside a shower, removed brand-new subflooring during corrections, installed the wrong threshold, and completed tile showers so poorly they had to be torn out and redone multiple times. We found uneven tile, improper installation methods, and even torn cardboard used as spacers. A third-party shower glass installer also questioned the quality of the work and was unable to install the Glass Shower Doors. The worst part was that Avalon never caught these issues--we had to identify and push for every correction ourselves. Their $1,300 compensation offer didn't come close to covering our losses in time, labor, and business. We documented everything with photos and texts. Based on our experience, we strongly caution anyone considering Avalon Flooring. Read the Consumer Report reviews and the others on Yelp. We reached out to Sharon, Corey, Stephanie and Desiree, VP .
