As someone who is always purchasing home improvement items I have to give Lowes credit as they have…read morenot forgotten how to treat their customers. I tend to buy lots of construction hardware such as odd sized bolts and joints for deck framing. This Lowes has a better selection and is better organized than Home Depot in this regard, and the staff in their painting department has always been more than willing to help me find a hard to find item. Now when checking out they email you a receipt (which is great for tracking expenses) and most importantly this Lowes ALWAYS has staff working at the contractor check out area and I have never been forced to self checkout which is now mandatory at Home Depot.

The assistant manager ultimately resolved my issue, but during the days prior, the customer service would say hold on or wait up. I'm gonna put you on a hold and then hang up. I thought at first it was by accident. But then when I called back three more times either I was put on hold and hung up or told I was going to be transferred to the front store manager subsequently only to be hung up on. In order to resolve the warranty issue, I had to come in to the store physically and work with the assistant manager, who was very helpful but I believe it was only because I was standing face-to-face with him.

He pointed me towards some cuccuzza seedling (which I bought, and thrived all season) as well as some eggplant (a variety from Italy). I got a few other plants (peppers and things) and was happy to get his advice as well as some plants I couldn't get at my local home improvement chain store. They don't have a huge selection of organic gardening products (worm castings, for example) and don't have supplies for backyard chickens or pets - so I go to one of a couple of other local garden suppliers for those items. They DO have organic gardening soil, but if they carried a wide selection of items for organic gardeners like me I would give them 5 stars. These guys know their stuff, and the owner's family has been in the area for generations. The staff also seems very knowledgeable, and they carry products you can't find in the chains. So I recommend you check out Southern Gateway if you live in the Westbank.

Artists have their own booth, so you can view the transition in genre as you walk from one booth to the next. When I first walked in, I noticed the paintings on the walls, but there's everything from that to jewelry and hats. The majority of the jewelry is located centrally, in front of the counter, where they are less likely to walk away without being noticed. My favorites were the mixed media scenes and whimsical cat paintings by G. Lee, whose artwork I noticed in other parts of the city. Adorable cats looking straight at you, holding a beloved item in their paws. As I was visiting, there was an artist setting up shelves to present his artwork. He had someone assisting. The artwork is also sold at affordable prices. The woman at the counter was friendly and welcoming.
