I also own and operate a turnkey entertainment agency with an excellent reputation. Context: I was hired to perform at a restaurant in Glendale with a 9 piece band. We came prepared and ready to go. However, the sound guy (Paul) arrived late and had a horrible attitude. You need to understand as an engineer / audio tech, the artist is YOUR priority. Take care of them, and you'll have a great show. What does that look like? Set up on time, ring out the system (monitors and mains) , gainstage your mics and instruments, etc. What did Paul do? : scoffed at our tech request, made condescending remarks any time we asked if we can make adjustments, and just made our experience very uncomfortable and disappointing . If Paul was my employee/contractor under my company, I would be embarrassed and ashamed at the lack of professionalism and interpersonal skills. I would like to think this company is better than this and maybe Paul is simply misrepresenting Cosmos AVL in the worst way. I will never hire Paul nor will I ever recommend my industry and corporate clients to this company.

On the day of our event Matt got one of his employee's to drop the light off, set it up and show us how to use it. We had a verbal conversation that he would have one of his employee's come and pick up the light on Monday from my work (our event was on Saturday) since it was so quick, I would keep the spotlight in my car and it was ok to let our receptionist know to tell me he was there to pick up the light when he called. After like a week.........he calls my work (I panicked and asked him to please not call my work, it is no longer ok) then I didn't hear from him again for a month! Yes a month AND he calls my work again and tells the receptionist he is on his way to pick up the light. HELLO, it's not in my car anymore, it's been over a month, it is now in my carport storage. Matt got really upset when I didn't have the light in my car, I told him I would do my best to get him to him, but I also work 7 days a week this month and need more than a day notice if you now want me to bring it to you. I guess my frustration is, if you are too busy to deal with the little guys, then don't deal with us, but don't be rude and demanding when you call me a month later expecting me to have it in my car still. Then hang up on my and tell me you are going to take me to small claims court. REALLY? I don't want your light. I had to turn him over to a friend (A guy who Matt couldn't bully). So, he was nice and helpful, but his busy schedule made things a bit un-organized when it was time for the pick up, all for a single spot light. Sure hope he doesn't treat his employee's like he does his clients when they don't do things his way. I would say use him, just have good boundaries and get things clear because I think he over books himself and he has an accent too which makes him a little hard to understand.

Cheers Event Rentals was very responsive to my inquiry and their prices were very competitive. The shower was only going to have about 35 people so it was a pretty small party and yet Cheers was very accommodating to our needs. Talking to Jessica on the phone was reassuring that all of the items were going to be delivered without any problems. Cheers came up with a great idea of delivering everything to the park in their trailer on Saturday morning so we could unload and then leaving the trailer so that we could load the chairs, tables and linens back into the trailer for them to pick up later. Since our event was small, all the other vendors were going to delivery the items to my house on Friday and pick up on Monday. This really saved us the trouble and time to move everything to and from our house on the day of the shower. We met Jessica at the park in the morning and everything worked out great with the convenience of having their trailer right there when we were done. Working with Jessica and Cheers Events was a very good experience and I would suggest contacting them if you are in need to rent items for your event. Our experience with Cheers was great and I'm sure yours will be too!!
