Can't say enough good things about this place. We lived in southwestern Germany for 10 years and this was one of our three favorite restaurants in Europe. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive from our house but we often drove down the Burgundy road just to end up eating here. Jean-Michel gave us a tour of the kitchen and the wine cellar ... the first very new and the second very old, just as it should be. On one visit we took over three pounds of fois gras home with us ... frozen and prepared as individual servings. It was just as good at home as it had been in the restaurant. Incredibly creative and reasonably priced. Wines could get into the pricey range at the upper end. Enjoyed one 3000 plus Euro bottle ... only once. Now that we've been back in California for a couple of years, this is one of the places we truly miss about Europe. read more
