ok. This is my first review ever, and I am proud that it's because of this restaurant... This place has the best food I have _ever_ had in my entire lifetime on this godforsaken earth.
And by BEST, I do not just mean within the "Lebanese food" realm, nor just within the "Middle Eastern food" realm, nor just within the "Mediterranean food" realm, but I mean in the realm of the Entire World, and I have been to 37 countries and one womb.
This is a restaurant owned by a charming, pleasant lady called Christine. They are only two to three people working: She, her sister and her cousin. You will be amazed by the freshness, and high quality of her ingredients, the authenticity of her style, the mindboggling taste of her food, the simplicity of her persona... and not to mention the very very small price you pay for the feast of a king. A King. When I am not in Montreal, I crave her kibbeh and her tabbouleh.
They make everything fresh by hand, and you don't understand how rare and priceless this is. She buys the freshest ingredients every day, makes the freshest and healthiest and tastiest foods. But what I love most about her besides her kibbeh? Her purpose. She says "I feel my clientele is like my family, they're like my children so I will only feed them the best". Where have you heard that before? I have brought over fifteen people to this restaurant, professional cooks included, everybody says Christine has THE BEST tabbouleh, falafel and kibbeh they have "ever" tried. Not to mention the meat pies, raw kibbeh (kibbeh nayyeh), and homemade baklawa! She makes them by hand! You owe it to yourself, and to her authenticity, GO TRY THIS PLACE and BE HOOKED. I guarantee you will come back more immediately and forever... and bring your entire family and all your friends.
