Jessica C was fortunately the fabulous woman who helped me with my windshield wipers. I am NOT very well versed on all things auto related. In fact, quite the contrary. THANK GOODNESS I was helped by Jessica who so patiently guided me to the wiper section, then explained and assisted in making a choice. Not only then, she made sure I had the fluid in which to make them work properly. Doesn't end there....she walked me out to the car and installed the wipers for me. WHAAAAAAT? Damn girl, you ROCK. I went to have my battery replaced and were helped by Kyler. When he went to change the battery we were surprised by a black widow. I made two trips in here on the same- battery issues. The first time my car has been on for my battery to fully charge and gave us a false reading that it was good to go. My car died a second time later that afternoon and I headed right back in. The two gentlemen that helped me were super friendly and great. I did end up buying my battery there and they installed it for me right then at no extra charge! These guys were a life saver! It was also on a holiday and no shops were open, so they really did save the day!! read more

I love my local University Place Autozone! They don't try and sell you things that you don't need. Went in for a battery, and they ran a diagnosis to see if it was indeed the battery. Turns out it wasn't. Today went in for a headlight bulb. John E got me the bulb and put it in for me. As a single mom, I don't have extra money to pay to go to a mechanic every time I have a small issue. So I try and do myself. But ever since I started going to the UP Autozone, they show me what I need to do, or in some cases, do it for me. I haven't ran into a person there yet that isn't extremely helpful. Very poor customer service. I went in to buy new windshield wiper blades. The clerk looked up the sizes I needed and directed me to aisle 3. By the time I got there, I couldn't remember what sizes I needed. I also didn't know the best type to buy. I finally picked up what I thought I needed and went back to the counter where he had looked up the sizes. By this time, he was "helping" other customers at the register. What he was actually doing was yapping about his son and football and guitars, etc. He finally noticed me and yelled for someone to come to ring me up. I waited 3 - 4 more minutes and then left the store. I went to O'Reilly's Auto Parts on 6th Ave where the clerk looked up what I needed, walked me over to that section, explained the benefits of the different types, then rang me up and then installed the new blades. I needed windshield wipers for my truck. It's been a while since I had bought any let alone installed so I was a little nervous. Stan greeted me at the door looked up the parts on the computer walked me over to the aisle help me select a pair. And the icing on the cake as he came out and assisted me in installing them to make sure that they work perfectly. I appreciate AutoZone and I really appreciate Stan. Went there today to get a serpentine belt and the guy set it down with some tool that he said I would need. The man who helped me was great even offered to help me. However he never told me I had to pay 30 dollars for the tool he told me to take. When I took the tool back he wasn't there and some woman charged me for the tool that I didn't even use. She was rude and just said didn't you read your ticket?! I didn't read the ticket because no one even mentioned the fee. The man said it was 60.00 deposit while I had it and that I would get my money back. I certainly wouldn't have borrowed the tool had I known. The girl was ridiculous. I went to autozone yesterday in University Place, WA to get supplies for my husband to change mine and his oil. After getting home he realized they sold me the wrong oil filter for his car and went to exchange it. They wouldn't! Not only that but after I tried to purchase what I wanted they suggested getting one of the big oils that came with a free filter because they said it would save me money. It didn't! It was $30 more expensive but I didn't know until my husband told me. I spent $75 at the store and my husband had to go spend another $15 on an oil filter that should have been paid for already because of the 'deal' I got. $90 (plus tax) for two oil filters & 2 5 quarts of oil!? Are you kidding me!? They played me because I'm a woman and don't know enough about cars to know any better. What a horrible employee and company! WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO ANY AUTOZONE LOCATION! When I posted on the autozone Facebook this review someone almost immediately responded telling me to PM my information and someone would contact me. The store is clean, as much as auto store may be. Stuff pretty friendly and professional. My husband goes there every couple of weeks and he likes them, and so he told me to go there in case we need car thing or a thing for a car?!:) So, yesterday i could not start my car, bad battery apparently. I'm not scared i have all i need in the trunk, which does not open from inside by the way, you have to use key to open it, because battery is dead, did not know that, and i been comfortable around car for as long as i have it(changing oil, etc)... so, gut jumping cables, got it running and called hubby, as you guessed he sends me to auto zone in UP on 27th, close our home(convenient location by the way). I had a newer battery in storage, so we thought we may just replace it in store and don't need to buy new one, just pay for help of replacing. Yep, no, did not work, cause its opposite of the connection, +-. Oh, i need to buy one now, bummer. However, all was much easier because Susie B. was there to help me with all, she was willing to help replace my old to my newer battery for free labor, just i needed some little thing to buy to make a smooth transition, and those things i would need for new battery replacement anyways. So, to make it short(if i still may), Susie was soooo helpful and considered that i was surprised and revealed! She found right battery for my car after she tried all to use my newer one, made some suggestions for new battery, and i was the one who chose what was needed for me. I went there 2 years ago to buy a side light for the car and the gentleman was helpful as well, but it was simple and did not surprise me, so im writing this because this lovely lady was super helpful! I go in here every couple of months for this and that. The last time I was in there an older gentlemen helped me. Im sorry guy, I forgot your name but you were helpful and I want someone to know. I went in for new wiper blades and some paint. He helped me locate and change the wiper blades and even gave me advice on what kind of paint to use and how to fix a big scratch I put into the side of my car because I was being an idiot. There's an angry old lady working there. She's condescending and actually seems to get angrier if you don't buy the little add on crap she tries to sell you. For instance, while buying oil, she tried to sell me a fuel system cleaner. I told her no thanks and she actually scoffed at me. Very rude customer service that is seemingly unwilling to provide the basic services you'd expect from an auto parts store, like looking up the availability of a light bulb (she told me that they don't carry my bulb. when I finally got her to look it up, it turns out that they do, but didn't have any in stock at their store read more
