I always have the worst experience with auto part stores, so when I have to go and get something for my vehicle I dred going in to get what I need because after letting them know they have no interest on taking 2 minutes to explain to me what it is I'm buying for my car it's like I'm ruining their day, me being a single mother I take my son's safety very seriously!!!! It has been about 4 or so years since I had the worst experience at this store, so 1 even I needed coolant & oil an stopped in this older gentleman greeted me and asked how he could assist me I told him what I needed and he immediately got everything while discussing why I needed it, it was a relief to finally find someone that didn't make me feel like I was bothering them or was trying to rush me out the door I'm pretty sure his name was Dale it was during the evening so I would advise anyone who needs advice I would strongly recommend him, read more

I initially called and asked them if they could test my battery. They said yes, so I went to get it tested. When I got there they said they couldn't test it bc the battery was inside the car. I told them over the phone that my battery was inside and they said it was not a problem. So, now I'm stuck outside bc my car won't start without a jump and they also couldn't lend me equipment to jump it. I had the cables just needed a booster. Complete waste of time. read more

I walked in to the store, and an employee greeted me. I suppose she didn't hear me say hello back, but she yelled to her colleague across the store that I was about to ask for help to "ignore her, she can't say hello back to me, she can get the f*ck out." Her colleague just stared blankly at me and didn't ask if I need anything or say anything to her colleague for how inappropriate that was.. I can't make this up. I came here because my front left light went out, nothing fancy. The girl helping me was extremely nice and helpful. I don't even know how to pop open my hood and she showed me. She even went out to my car and tried to replace it for me in the cold and though she failed she called upon a male coworker to help me and we all just found out that the bulb was just loose. HAHA And after all that they kindly gave me a refund seeing as how I didn't need the bulb. Customer service is excellent and establish is nice. read more

I'm a little apprehensive about writing this review, I like Auto Zone! but I had an experience this morning with a clerk that I thought could have been better! it wasn't the clerk himself, he was very polite and tried to help as much as possible. I was looking to buy a Carburator for my car, I wanted to pay for it at one store, and have them ship it another for pick up, I was told I'd have to order it from the location I wanted to pick it up at! that was fine, so I called the location, again the clerk was polite and tried to help, he quoted me the price WITH Core! the Core is a fee charged to the customer until the old part is turned in, this is how the industry keeps the supply of materials for rebuilt part flowing! which is fine with me! I've worked on cars most of my adult life, I understand how it all works! after the clerk quoted the price, I told him I didn't want to put up the Core, because I would bring the old part in with me, to make sure we had ordered the correct one! he said store policy dictated he must charge me the Core! Upset, I told him thanks, but I'd go elsewhere to shop! I don't like it when a place of business sacrifices customer service for the sake POLICY! Repeat business is most businesses bread and butter! and forsaking the customer in this way WILL cause the loss of that customer! you can count on it! I want the reader to know, I like Auto Zone and do plan to continue doing business with them! but I strongly urge the top bosses of Auto Zone to reconsider the policy on Cores, if the customer wants to defer the Core, if the purchased isn't being pick up until the old part is brought in, then it shouldn't matter that a Core isn't charged, Also, I want the bosses to know, that this policy is why I chose NOT to do business with you this time! My local AutoZone was short the radiator I needed and this was the next closest location. So Sunday morning, the girlfriend and I drove over to pick it up. After waiting in line for a minute or so, the gentleman asked if he could help us. I let him know I called in yesterday asking about a radiator for my 1990 civic wagon. He went through all the normal questions, auto or manual, 1.5 or 1.6? Not being friendly at all. He figured out which one it was and walked off to the back. Wow, someone didn't get a donut this morning. After a couple minutes, he comes back with the box and mumbles something about a warranty, so I say, "can you tell me more about it?", mumbles something more and I say again, "can you tell me more about it?" He then grumbles back loudly, "I need your number for the warranty, it's lifetime, nothing to buy." At this point, I was ready to leave, but they had a better price on the radiator than anyone else and I kind of wanted my car running again by Monday for work. So I fork over my card and leave. This guy was very unfriendly and this was not a pleasurable visit by any means. I'm glad this isn't my normal AutoZone as it wouldn't be for long if it were. If you know what you want, go get it, if not, I don't know how far you're going to get before wanting to leave. I'll give them an extra star for having what I wanted, cheaper than anywhere else and being open at a nice time for a Sunday. read more

Funny how they are so condescending to her but sound like idiots when my husband goes in because they don't know what they are doing. This is my go to auto parts shop. Every time I come here they are always helpful to me. I come here when I need to get my car battery charged, and they always glad to charge it for for free. When I need to dump my old oil they also do it for free. If I couldn't find something I needed, they always find the parts for me. If I need help with changing my headlights bulb or windshield wiper they were always willing to give a helping hand to help me replace them if they are not busy. I have no complaints yet. I highly recommend this shop. read more

By far the worst customer service ever... I had been at the 38th street autozone when I noticed a sign that said free insulation if you buy a air filter... I didn't have time the day I was there so I called the 72nd and pacific store and spoke to a man that told me he would have to see how easy it is and depending on what kind of SUV I have if he can do it... I went on to tell him that I had already looked into it and that it is easy and right on top of the engine... He then said well its up to the staff if they even want to do it... He was very rude while telling me this and to me it sounded as if he was just being lazy... Needless to say after he told me again that they may offer free insulation with purchase its up to the staff if they want to do it... I told him how rude his customer service was and asked to speak to a manager... Go figure he WAS the manager... He told me his name was Shi and then spelled it out S-H-I... Then said is there anything else you want to say... When I told him I would like to put in a complaint he hung up on me.... AUTOZONE IF YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE GOING TO BE RUDE AND LAZY DO NOT OFFER FREE INSULATION WITH THE PURCHASE OF AN AIR FILTER!!!! Needless to say I went to O'Riley's where they were very helpful and installed my air filter with a smile their face and great customer service!!!! read more
