Check engine light came on and I found out California now requires companies that run an OBD2 scanner to have a licensed mechanic onsight. I was super glad AutoZone figured out a way around this and saved me from buying a scanner (or paying a $50+ diagnostic fee). The associate helping was nice enough, but really didn't offer any insight or advise into the issue or fix. I did get a printout with the code and possible fixes. The AutoZone computer was wrong in suggesting replacing a part requiring a mechanic. I googled the code and it turned out to almost always be a super easy fix. So I had him look up the part, and I had to point out the OEM part was cheaper than the generic he was trying to sell me. Replaced the $15 part and problem was fixed. Except I still had to borrow a buddy's scanner to clear the code. It worked out well for me, but I see a bunch of places where someone with less experience working on cars could have issues. read more

At approximately around 6 pm my fiance and I pulled into their parking lot to see if they had an loaner for socket ranch. I didn't know the size of the socket I needed which I am so happy that their employee took his time to come outside and look at my fiance wheelchair. We needed to adjust two smaller wheels on his wheelchair to make sure its safe. I didn't get the employee name but he helped us out so much. He use the socket ranch and adjusted the wheels for us.
