This is a nice Autozone. I stopped in for a pair of rear signal lights. After using their help yourself book to look up the code that goes along with my lights, I found the pack of bulbs I needed and headed to the counter. When I reached the counter, I asked the attendant if he could double check on the computer to make sure I chose the right bulbs which he happily obliged. after about a 45 seconds, he told me they were the right ones, so I went ahead with the purchase. So, in a nutshell, service was quite good at this location. The store was well organized and maintained. There were two employees working the day I visited and they were busily helping customers and maintaining the store. Also, drivers now know when I am making a turn, so glad people will stop flipping me off.

    Engine mount that Was needed.

I've noticed that when people visit hardware stores, they mostly know what they want, or at least,…read morethey can describe the project or problem that sent them there. All that's left of the clerk's job at places like Lowes and Home Depot is to find what's needed and sell it. Customers at auto parts stores are different: often, they're visiting for the first time, or for the first time in years, and they're anxious because they don't understand their vehicle's problem, so they can't explain it, and they don't know how to ask for what they want. So the job of clerks at places like AutoZone isn't just selling stuff; it's helping the customer figure out what stuff they should buy; finding and selling it; explaining how to use it; and instilling them with faith and confidence in their ability to do what's needed, correctly. The folks at AutoZone have bailed me out and educated me a number of times, as I've owned and maintained a disparate series of vehicles, including: an aged Chevy pickup; an aged Land Rover Discovery; a brand-new Hyundai Elantra; and a brand-new (and aging) Toyota RAV4. AutoZone's employees are pleasant people, not arrogant, "You mean you don't know what a flangent is?" douchebags. They run their store efficiently, and, although AutoZone's prices are higher, on average, that what I'd pay for parts online, no one at Amazon is going to hold my purchase up in front of me, turn it slowly, and say, "Oil it here... here... and here..." Online is for bulk purchases. For personal, helpful, useful service, visit AutoZone.

Shame on these guys…read more They'll take you over the coals with Upcharges and work you don't need unless you do what I did, and that is to walk out and bring my business to an honest shop. I had no idea this was the same people as I had got a [crazy, inaccurate] quote from in 2018. I was quoted over the phone that a complete diagnosis would be $109. They had the make and model, knew it was a truck so should be no surprises when I walk in. RIGHT? wrong. "We like to get paid for our time"; dude at the counter. Then don't misquote customers in the first place. His excuse was, "well, we have to check the back of the truck too". Lame. Posted: are the two quotes for a diagnosis, one from John's and the next from a shop that I won't share here, where my truck is currently being serviced. Further, let's go back a bit in history. In April of 2018 I visited John's location on Riverdale in Grantville. My truck had registered a check engine, which turned up regarding emissions. What did "Johns" say and quote me? " Well, Toyota Tundras have four catalytic converters so you are looking at $3,270. out the door, you need to replace these, then you'll pass smog, clear emissions ". Problem: they got it way wrong: the 2000 Toyota Tundras have TWO catalytic converters mister grifters. After that B.S. I left. [2007s - present have four converters, so ketchup Bubs!] Next, I left and went to "Cardiego" on Adams Avenue. The owner checked the emissions signal and said, " all you need is your drive cycle reset. One hour later and $90. dollars later the work was done, truck passed smog and no more emissions issue. It was my mistake that I had no idea that this same outfit had a second garage in La Mesa, had no idea I was walking into the same line of talk and walk. I expect that the owner Mr. Joan will comment here something like this, " I am sorry you seemed to have this experience, because we don't have a record of you in our system " hmmmm... My response [following my laughter] is this: on 4/27 your computer generated the quote that I have posted here. It generated the information you had on my vehicle back in 2018 because you have my old plate number of 6E71244. So Jon, don't try to tell me you never had me in the "system" because if you had not noticed, I now have personalized plates, I haven't had the 6E7... plates for a while now. To be clear: my Tundra is the best year that was produced, it has been cared for only with master techs, and runs perfectly. Word to the wise: My recommendation is to go elsewhere to take care of your auto. **My truck needed the lower front ball joint replacement in the front only. The shop I went to even took out the $57. diag charge since I had the work done with them. It is silent and smooth as usual. There was no noise in the back and a quote on a diagnosis means you quoted me on a diagnosis of the entire vehicle. Bogus, no: I never "authorized" more diagnosis work. Just a foolish response below.

There were no visible signs at the cash register and the clerk failed to mention anything about this policy, shame on you Brad Beckham, CEO of ORielly's.
