That's exactly where I was last night before I went for an evening walk. Fortunately, I knew there was an AutoZone nearby and they check batteries free of charge (no pun intended). Norris helped me out big-time, not only checking to see if I was rolling with a "bad battery" (Spoiler Alert: I was) but set me up with a new battery in less than 30 minutes. This morning, my car and I were ready to hit the road again - such a relief! Great team, great service - get in the Zone!

Went to a closer Autozone who did not have the battery. Once here the lady checked and verified that #1 the battery I had was only good for a year but also #2 when Firestone did the check the used the wrong guage,, reading my battery at 525 when they were supposed to use 425 so that is why it was showing wrong. She checked my battery twice and assured me it was still fine and then showed me the slightly pricier but better for my car battery to get for the future. You learn something new all the time. Sadly I do not remember the young lady's name but she had glasses and knew her work.

Please support your local auto parts store. Oh, by the way, one of the things they offer (for free) is installing a new car battery! They also do battery testing, read the codes on your check engine light for basic issues, check your alternator and starter, install new wiper blades and they have a Loan-A-Tool program. It's beginner-friendly and has a wide selection of automotive parts and guides to help first-timers. WOW!
