This auto zone goes above and beyond!! While my sister and I were driving across the country, the car started smoking and leaking green fluid. The guy from Brooklyn (unfortunately didn't get his name) bled the lines and refilled the fluid. He even checked to make sure it didn't need anymore fluid when I returned after a test run. God put him in the right place at the right time, he was our angel! His attitude was amazing, very approachable, and friendly. He really knew what he was doing, and even educated us using "non-mechanic" talk. If you're ever in need, stop this auto zone! read more

I went in to purchase a jack and lug wrench, because our 2013 Chevy Malibu only comes with an inflation kit---no spare, donut or tire tools (jack, etc.). Well, there were a couple of customers being waited on, so I went down the aisle and picked up a tire tool and what I thought was a jack, proud of my extraordinary feminine mechanical aptitude! (I barely glanced at the box, though, because it was right next to the tire tools, and I was hurriedly getting errands done before a planned car trip to Florida, Yet, it looked like a bottle-style jack.) When I got up to the young counter clerk, I explained why I was getting a jack before starting a long car trip & asked twice if that was what I needed. He assured me both times that it was, indeed, what I needed for the trip. When I got home, my husband calmly informed me that they had sold me a jack STAND, not a jack! I guess, trying to appear as a strong woman in an auto parts store backfired---they apparently thought I appeared strong enough to lift up the car onto the jack stand bare-handed!!! We came in to get a replacement battery. They couldn't find the correct part. Finally, when they did find it, the salesman wouldn't install it - I had to convince him. Then when he finally did install it, complained about some unrelated past experiences. The manager is much more knowledgeable, but doesn't really do anything besides ring up customers and answer phones. read more
