My car won't turn on one evening so I decided to come to Auto Zone to get a new battery. It seems like with this cold, I wasn't the one only one having car problems. There were 3 men working there and they did their absolute best to help take care of everyone. They helpfully me test my battery, get a new one, and installed it. I wish I could give them a ZERO!!! I am not car savy and yes I needed assistance not once but two bad experiences. I came to this autozone for assistance and both times was just directed to an aisle to find what I needed. ABSOLUTELY NO ASSISTANCE. If I am coming to your facility asking for assistance dont jist direct me to an aisle, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE STORE WAS EMPTY, bring your ass over to help me out....3 people just sitting around bullshitting. After having spent several hundred dollars at this location in the last year, I was told today by the parts manager that a pair of brake pads I bought 6 months ago would be covered under the AutoZone "Lifetime Guarantee." He told me to buy another pair, install them, and bring back the (Not so) old ones in the same box to be refunded my purchase price on the second set. I did just that and was back within 2 hours (because I actually know how to work on cars). This time the Store Manager was there to process my return. Instead of the credit the parts manager told me I was due 2 hours earlier (since their pads have a lifetime warranty) I received a lecture that I drive too much and my pads were not covered in the warranty. Six months and the pads were worn to the backing plates?! No refund on the second purchase?! My business will be taken elsewhere including away from the entire chain. Don't "GET INTO THE ZONE AT AUTOZONE" unless you enjoy wasting your money and dealing with hacks. 17 years as an auto body technician including ASE Master certification and an uneducated franchisee tells me that brake pads should only last 6 months.
