Even though I told them it was an old battery and I needed a jump start before I came here, they still wanted to test it first. I was told, they had many people with battery issues. And it was not necessarily the battery, but everybody's cars were just sitting during the quarantine. So why do you want to pay $100 something if it could be a cheaper fix. I gave them a ring and they were super easy to work with. Was able to drop my car off the same day and pick it up within a few hours. I contacted them when my 2002 Volkswagen stalled while driving and they were the first to say yes just drop it by. During the process they were very good at communicating what they found, costs, solutions. With an older car like mine the truth is there are multiple things that could be repaired. Charlie was great with explaining options, giving fair pricing, and giving timelines by which the other items needed to be taken care of. My car was running much better for about 1.5 months and then it stalled again. This time requiring a tow. I took it back to them, with a 'tude because you know, hey, why is the same stuff happening. They were cool as cukes with my 'tude. They had to keep it a little longer this time to figure out how to repair it what I love is they explained the diagnosis process, why they were sure it was the repair they were recommending but explained how they would deal with it if they were incorrect. It is currently running well (yes I waited a little before writing this review). Fingers Crossed :). Some logistics tips for you guys, ladies if you don't like being called sweetheart or chile, move. No, just joking! I am sure they would use your actual name if you asked, I have a thing for southern culture so it is a plus to me. They may park your car on the street. This I don't like but they truly are always packed and I think it is just easier than dealing with the logistics of figuring out where to park when you don't know when folks will be picking up the cars. Maybe I will offer to organize the lot for them for some reduced price repair work?!?!?

Contrary to what the counter guy told me, I did eventually find the Amazing GOOP. The man was not very invested in his job as he did not know his inventory. The price was in line with other auto parts stores. 2 Years Earlier... I normally remember more about the people I encounter, their ability & willingness to do their job, politely & professionally much longer than what I bought or what I paid. 'Harold' was the poster child for being an outstanding representative of O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was intelligent, fast on the uptake, articulate, well spoken, genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and he knew & offered the related items to my project. Owner Greg Roberts and his talented technicians are a class act. Kudos for the fine folks at Automotive Diesel Service (Freddie & Tom) recommending them to me. Having been there multiple times now, I feel I can honestly give them the 5 star rating I feel they deserve. My first experience at GT Automotive was for a check engine light and malfunctioning fuel gauge on my wife's SUV. Unfortunately, the diagnosis wasn't what I wanted to hear, as the fuel level sensor and fuel pump were malfunctioning. And like most newer cars, the fuel pump is in the tank, which requires dropping the tank to replace the fuel pump. Anyway, they quoted me a very fair price, and got the job done the same day. My second experience was a few months later for the same SUV, as the check engine light came on again. Greg's diagnostic equipment was telling him it was the anti lock brakes. Luckily for me, he has a great rapport with a local Nissan dealer. At no extra charge to me, a factory Nissan technician visited his shop with a Nissan "scan tool" to provide a second opinion. It ended up being a loose connection to the anti lock brake "pump" and all they had to do was crimp the wire to secure it. I got an oil change while I was there and I was out the door in a few hours with a bill that was less than $100.00. Whew! My most recent trip was for a Royal Purple full synthetic oil change for my car. For all you gear-heads, Royal Purple oil costs over $8.00 per quart in a retail store. However, GT Automotive changed my oil with 8 quarts of Royal Purple oil and a Royal Purple oil filter for under $100.00; including labor. Furthermore, I asked him to inspect my brakes and change them if needed. Being the honest mechanics that they are, they advised me that my brakes had 40-50% pad life remaining and that I was good to go. Lastly, they didn't even charge me for the brake inspection. That's what I call looking out for your customers. GT Automotive uses top of the line parts, lubricants and fluids.
