I shop at this store routinely to keep my fleet rolling safely. I'm generally satisfied, but simply prefer the store across the street for some subjective reason. Today we ordered brake shoes, to arrive by 3PM. My go-to store couldn't have them until tomorrow. Got them! Sat down to install them--no new hardware included! I do realize that drum brakes are old school, but even in modern times who on earth sells brake shoes without the hardware kit!? Advance Auto Parts does. Nobody in their right mind would put forth the effort to replace brake shoes without replacing the springs. The springs pull the shoes away from the drum when not in use. Kind of a big deal. Their customer service is great, but their offerings are deficient. They don't have the hardware kit available today or tomorrow. Neither does the other stores in this area..unless you buy the shoes with the hardware included. So guess who replaces drum brakes without replacing the springs? It is late, so the answer is this guy...unfortunately. I guess I'm not in my right mind :). Three stars for me because they contributed to putting me in the position. Check the contents closely or you may wind up on jack stands for a few days (or you might be forced to roll the dice, like me).

This AutoZone is better than most in my thirty years of experience. I don't understand the…read morecomplaints about prices...most times you get what you pay for. AutoZone isn't generally going to offer the best quality (like NAPA might), but what they can offer you will generally work well for the life expectancy you need. The staff at this store are friendly, and there are a few faces that it been around for a very long time. They want to serve you well, and they want to help you. Plus, they offer a 10% Military/Veteran discount--hats off to them. Sometimes their stock availability is not what you would like for domestic or import, but they do their best to get what you need as fast as possible. If you don't like this store, Advance Auto is across the street, and that Irish store with the catch jingle is down the way. This is my "go to," though. I am disappointed to see such a low Yelp rating. It made me really want to give them five stars, but I didn't. Why? Because I recently rated another AutoZone at five stars... And they came out and actually replaced a spark plug for me to help verify the type needed! That is above and beyond, and I felt the need to maintain that mark. Without that experience, I would've given this store five stars.

The manager of this store, Jeff, clearly demonstrated that he lacked the most basic social skills expected of someone in a managerial position. Actual situation follows: Myself and another gentleman walk into the store. The first man says I would like to have my battery checked... no response from Jeff. He looks at me and I say I would like to have mine checked also please. No response... Suddenly he (Jeff) appears with the tester and walks out, not a word said to either one of us, so we assume that he was going to test our batteries and walk out behind him. Jeff tests the batteries of the other gentleman, they have some discourse and the man leaves. Meanwhile my Jeep is parked right next to the first car with the hood open waiting for the test... Jeff walks right on by and goes inside. I wait approx. 5 mins and he returns back outside to help two ladies who arrived while I was waiting. I ask Jeff if he was going to get to checking my batteries and mutters something under his breath and walks inside. Really? Madison might be in Alabama but we have choices and I for one will not be treated with such disrespect. I don't need your manager treating me like I am an insignificant part of his day, because with folks like me he would have no job. I don't want him to throw rose petals at my feet when I walk in but I do expect basic courtesy's from a person, who for reasons beyond my comprehension is in a leadership role and representing AutoZone. I would like to collaborate with his seniors to ensure that this is not swept under the table. People involved with customers need to check their attitudes and problems at the door. No one should have to deal with this type of service.
