So, I went to my friendly neighborhood O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. and Peter looked over the situation and says "I can do this." He had to work out in the parking lot with a cold September wind blowing and dismantled a large section of the battery box and front end trim. In ten minutes he had the old battery out and in 5 minutes had the new battery in. (Be advised, I had already been told by two other auto parts stores that it couldn't be done and I should take it to the dealership.) Well done, Peter at O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. Lincoln, Nebraska. When I arrived this time, the customer service was just as excellent as I remembered. The staff was awesome, and Ryan in particular helped me find the right bulb and even installed it for me in the parking lot. It was a quick, painless 15 minutes before I was back on the road in great condition. She tested my battery and clearly explained the results, walked me through every battery option along with the warranties, and explained what works best in Midwest cold weather. I never once felt rushed or pressured. What really stood out was how transparent and knowledgeable she was. She tested the new battery before installing it and showed me the numbers so I could see the difference. After installing it, she tested everything again with the car running, including the alternator, to make sure the entire system was working properly. She also scanned my check engine light, printed the report for me, explained what the codes meant, and talked through what my next steps could be if needed. She made sure I understood everything she was doing. Car trouble can be stressful, but Marcella completely turned the experience around. She was patient, kind, and clearly takes pride in her work.
