I've lived in Summerlin for close to 2 decades. I've never thought twice to shop anywhere else. The radiator in my car cracked and one of the nice gentleman at the counter advised me, we decided the best approach would be to switch several parts out from the radiator, water pump, thermostat, even the resivor cap. Quite a sale right? It was recommended that purchased extra things including, a hose clamp vise and extra coolant and other things I might need. $800 dollars later, in walked away from Autozone prepared to complete this job. I was able to complete the job without using some of the coolant and the extra tools. Today I attempted to return an extra thermostat, and the hose clamp tool that I didn't use. Manger Chris L. L told that I used the item. Despite the fact that it was new, my hoses had been switched to 8mm Phillips head. There was no attempt or desire to help me or come to a compromise. I pleaded than clearly I purchased extra things with the confidence that I would return them should I not need them. I said; as a manager this feels like an exception opportunity, he said I needed the packaging. I pleaded again saying I spent over $800 with this project with the extra trips, all to Autozone. He condescendingly asked if I needed anything else. This town is full of auto parts stores. What a terrible way to lose a life long customer for $20. God bless you, Chris. The assistant store manager is rude and has a major attitude. Never made eye contact with us - he muttered something, and when I asked him to repeat what he had said the slowly and quietly over enunciated the syllables of "phone number". We went outside, he tested the battery and went back inside without saying one word to us. Then came back a few minutes later and said "I'm still waiting on you." We followed him, he did something on the computer, said "sign", handed me a piece of paper and walked away again. Dishon replaced the battery. He was kind and courteous. Liam walked by us as he was going in to start his shift and greeted us. He was friendly. The sign on their front window is deceitful. I had an issue with the same employee about one year ago, when he'd not accept a return without a receipt - which was discredited by customer service when they looked up my account and promptly provided me with the receipt number, stating they could have done the same at the store. Glenn was extremely helpful and took his time assisting me. I had my car battery checked and when Glenn confirmed it wasn't the battery, he took his time assessing and kept searching to see why the car wouldn't turn on. Turns out the terminal was loose and he went ahead and grabbed the proper tools to not only tighten, but I can tell he did extra to secure it wouldn't have any connective issues anytime soon. When i walked in the manager greeted me and asked what i needed. During the recent rainstorm, one of my wipers fell off so needed to replace both windshield wipers. He looked up the code and informed me that i needed a 19 inch and 24 inch and picked the right blades. Then he asked another staff to install this right away. I went down to AutoZone today to complain about my battery which was installed new in November 2023. First of all, they claimed they had no record of me receiving the battery in November. This battery was a replacement for one that I had bought in 2024 in February. Secondly, I was told that even if you put a brand new battery in a car, if you leave, it sit for more than a day, it won't start. I told him that was absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, their attitude toward me was one of you don't know what you're talking about. I know cars, and I know that batteries if Aron and a driven car can last from three weeks to a month. Most of the time we've patronized this location it had what we were needing. The customer service has been consistently good. The store has been consistently clean and well organized. I bought wind shield wipers that were extremely expensive ($123.50 for my 2 cars). I thought that was crazy but I blamed inflation. Then I went to Costco and found great wipers for $24 for both cars. I tried to bring them back but they kept on giving me the runaround. Excuses including they need the exact register that I had bought them from and the exact date because I didn't have the receipt. I did provide the correct information but they said they couldn't find it so they would give a store credit. Immediately thereafter I went home and found the receipt which confirmed the information I gave them was correct but they refused to return the purchase to my credit card. I've stopped at this AutoZone when I've needed small things for my cars. I am not a do it yourself kind of person so it's always for something easy. My xTerra has a burned out stop light bulb and I went here yesterday to get a replacement. Having watched a YouTube video on changing the bulb, I felt like I was Super Mechanic as I sauntered in the store. I found the booklet with the list of cars and found the number bulb I needed. The gentleman who was at the counter verified my choice and I got the correct replacement. I then asked him about changing the license plate bulbs to LED bulbs. He came outside to my car, got down on the ground, and showed me how easy it is to change them. I bought the two LED bulbs. I have always found the people who staff the store to be very helpful like this. They go above and beyond to help. Now if the guy would just bring me a socket set, I'd be able to change the bulb for which I went. OK, I'll borrow a socket set from a hiking friend. Oh HELL NO! This gone be long, but it's going to make your blood boil. Where to even start? So my car battery died. It's the desert. It happens. I found it dead about 3:30pm. I have to scramble. I am in a weird situation because my wife is immunocompromised. I have to, at all costs, avoid getting covid-19, because giving it to her would basically kill her. This sill come into play soon. I am freaking about the battery because she has doctors she has to go to and I have to take her. She can't drive for medical reasons. I MUST GET A BATTERY. I found that AutoZone delivers batteries the same day if you order by a certain time. I think it was 6pm. Anyway, I ordered before 5:50pm. Within probably 20 minutes, I got an email saying my delivery was on the way. Well, it wasn't. They have this app that shows you where the driver is. It shows the picture of the driver and their name. So, it showed the guy and his name and said he'd be here in like 17 minutes. I looked a bit later and it was a different guy and it said he would be here in I think 12 minutes. You can see on the map where their car is. I was watching it. Well, some time went by. I looked at the app. Now it's a third person. A female. Ok, I thought to myself. This is interesting. It said she was I don't know 7 minutes away or something. She wasn't. Awhile later, A FOURTH PERSON! She was 17 minutes away. I could tell by looking at the map that she was at the AutoZone I had ordered the battery from. I kept looking and it kept saying 17 minutes for awhile. I looked a bit later. It said she was 2 minutes away. She wasn't. For over 90 minutes, it was saying she was in the same place, 2 minutes away. By now it's getting to be about 8pm. The app has a little widget where you can "text the driver". I did. Asked if she was lost? I knew she wasn't because the place on the map where it said she was for like 90 minutes, is somewhere where there is nothing. It's the middle of a street where you can't just stay. No houses, the street is lined by a wash and on the other side are businesses. I have yet to receive an answer from the driver and it's over 90 minutes since I texted. Anyway. I called the store. Asked them what was happening. The guy who answered acted like he knew who I was because I said, "I ordered a battery to be delivered and, I explained to him the 4 different drivers and the weird map thing going on with the app. He replied in the most condescending and rude way, "Well what name is the order under." I told him, (My brother-in-laws name), because I used his credit card for the order. I stay at his house when he and my sister are away, so I can watch their dogs. So that's where I am and have been since my battery died. They are not around so they can't help me. Anyway, the guy says to me, (and you know how you can tell when someone is being a smart-ass on the phone), well, we don't have an order under that name. He didn't have time to check. He sad it immediately after I told him the name. I said, Ok check under (I gave him my name). He said to me, as if I was some kind of asshole, he says, "Well, that's not the name the order is under". MEANING, he knew who I was, knew the name on the credit card AND knew that it was I who ordered the battery. HE HAD NO TIME TO CHECK. His answers were instant and he was having a good ol' time punishing me for the order name not being the same as the credit card. You know how you can tell on the phone when someone is being a jerk? In the meantime, I said, "Where is the battery?" Long story short, hee TOLD ME the battery ain't coming. BECAUSE THE NAME ON THE ORDER WAS NOT THE SAME AS THE NAME O THE CREDIT CARD! Guess what IS THE SAME? The billing address and the shipping address. BECAUSE THE CREDIT CARD AND THE HOME BELONG TO THE SAME PERSON! The reason my name is on the order is because it's the name on my autozone rewards account. I don't log in under my bro in laws account. Capice? I asked for a supervisor. He AGAIN VERY CONDESCENDING said, "I am the supervisor". The way he said it, I swear he might as well have said, "FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!!!!". Because, that's what it sounded like. I said, Ok, who is your boss? He told me a name. I asked for a number. He gave it me. I said I would call her, and I hung up. Of course her number went to voicemail, so I left a rather angry message. I don't usually do ANGRY. I usually start off nice and if I can't get something to happen, it escalates from there. I have worked MANY years in customer service and I am aware that honey attracts bees more than vinegar, so I like to treat people with respect. However, if they treat me like a child, or some kind of asshole, and don't take the time to listen to someone who is really in need of the service, I will go off! So apparently there's a word limit on reviews. RESULT: I have no battery. My wife will miss a doctor's appointment for a screening that may save her life. I went in, got my car info into their search bar, immediately found the right sizes and one of the guys went out to help me with installing them. This autozone was attentive to their customers. They're friendly and genuinely want to help you. I like that they give more advice and detailed info to what you're asking. Talk about great customer service. The guy was kind enough to ask if I wanted to keep the old ones. He gave me information on the different kinds and brands in the store as well. Very thorough lol.
