I should've walked out and taken my service elsewhere at that point, but decided I would look around to see if they had the Club for anti-theft. The female cashier pointed me to the aisle and asked if my "car had been jacked." I said no, she asked if I was concerned about my "car being jacked," again, I said no. She advised me which version was most popular and left. I selected the Club which I'd purchased twice in the past, then proceeded to check out. Another cashier asked me if I'm "new to Detroit." I said no, he asked if I had recently moved to Hamtramck, I repeated no. This topic somehow elicited a conversation between all employees and another customer about whether the Club actually works, if it has a money back guarantee, whether I'm new to the area, or if I knew anything about the device. I didn't participate in the conversation but somehow me buying this providing evoked a full ass discussion with the entire staff and customers in the place. My experience with this establishment - and the employees - was rude, condescending, irritating and regrettable.

I was told I had to come in person to order the battery since they won't order it without payment first. After coming all the way to the store just to ORDER the battery, I was assured that someone could install the battery the next day as soon as it came in. The next day I arrived to get my battery installed and was told "I should have came before 2:00pm" to get the battery installed. The associate said since there were only two people on the floor (even though there were three people) nobody could help. Annoyed, the sales associate handed me a wrench and told me to go outside and try to install it myself in the freezing cold. With no gloves and one tool, I was having no luck. After demanding someone help me, the sales associate found someone to cover the register while he us assisted outside. I returned the old battery at the counter, was rang up for the $18 return, but I have yet to see the return on my debit card. Overall, a very frustrating experience.

I arrived and waited about 15 minutes for them to find the rim and mount my tire ($5 extra). Overall I have been satisfied with the service and selection of salvage parts. TIP: They don't put the parts on when you buy them from the counter. They open at 8am on Saturday and you should arrive early since they close at 2pm.

If they dont have it, they can get it from elsewhere. Each time my car has been fixed, theyve done a phenomenal job. The one downside is that you will probably have to wait, because they are very busy. But once its your turn, they're quick to get you in and out. I'd recommend arriving at 830 or 845 am and waiting for them to open. Then you'll be out in no time. Otherwise, bring a book and take a seat!

As you walk to the prominent service counter you notice a comforting odor of WD40 and engine oil, think of it as a sign. These guys get straight to the point, provide insight and help on questions you have, often everything you need in stock by a quality brand and at competitive pricing. What sends this place over the top is in the back though. There you'll find one of the most competent and speedy machine shops you'll ever have need of. Swap out some bushings? Ten minutes. New wheel bearings pressed in? Overnight. The machine shop alone is reason enough to frequent Hastings.
