I had difficulty cranking that morning and was on a journey to photo an "hot rod club" event 60 miles away. After all that, he informs me that the "warranty" was not valid at this location, go back to the store where you purchased, and a new replacement will be over $200. Unbeknownst to him, I have been an Interstate Battery dealer for 15 years!!-- and I know he is lying!! -- I was lucky enough to barely restart, complete my photo shoot, and return home that day!! I had a core exchange, and when I informed the employee I was needing it changed, he came out to my car, looked at the size of the terminal bolts, and simply brought me the tools to change it myself. Didn't offer to do anything, including carry in my old battery. When I brought everything into the store, he told me to set the battery on the floor on the other side of the counter. Two weeks later, the pump had failed; it ran, but not pumping. Returning to the store, I was helped by the manager, replaced the pump, and was again on my way. When the pump failed again a month later, she hooked me up direct witht the factory rep, we settled the issue, he sent me a new replacement, advised about installation location [which was the issue after all] -- In all, the store manager was supportive, helpful, and understanding with so many pump failures. I was told that they were not able to get me into the shop for a full two weeks later. No problem, I get it. My problem is that the short female service writer with the dyed brown hair and the sour face acted like I asked them bend down to polish my shoes with a diesel-soaked rag. Luckily I was able to find a Freightliner shop less than an hour away in York, Nebraska that was able to get me in and out in a few hours snd treated me with respect. I would give this place 1 star but it was pretty darn clean. I hope ole Sourpuss was just having a bad day and doesn't treat all the customers as rudely as she treated me.
