I recently bought my "new to me" car from Mr. Jackson, and it absolutely did not go to plan. My plan was buy car, drive car home, and be happy with the car. How much can you really learn about a company when such a simple plan goes off with out a hitch? Probably not much.... sure I could have told you how nice they are, I could have told you how efficient they are, I could have told you how easy it is to talk to a human and get information... I could have even told you how they had my car ready to go. Of course my plan did not work. I ended up with a post purchase complication 1500 miles from home. The response to my situation really told me a bunch about Jackson's Car Corner. My issue was a minor problem with a fuel filter....that only showed up after the car was running 70 mph for an hour or so on the interstate...I can't fault the car lot for that. It did however leave me on the side of the road in a different town from Jackson's Car Corner. The owner of Jackson's Car Corner got in his truck and made a two hour round trip drive to rescue me. Then made sure my issue was resolved. Absolute class act. Look bottom line....when you are buying a used car, you know the situation you are in, you know there is going to be warranty limitations if at all, you know the car is used, you know cars can break down...that is life. If you want to buy from a shop that actually cares about you, cares about your situation, and wants to do right by you....then absolutely consider Jackson's Car Corner. These people are the real deal, they don't just smile and close the deal...they care about their customers and their community.

We were in a hurry to get on our way, so we trusted the salesman, based on the recommendations received. That was a mistake. Upon arriving to our destination, we had the car inspected by mechanics we trust who informed us the front brakes needed replacement and so did the windshield washer system. I spoke to the salesman and the owner about the issues. They argued about the brakes and sent us a check for $100 to cover the windshield washer system. Our repair bill exceeded $600. We noticed the wheels would lock up even at slow speeds when the brakes are pressed and took it to a local dealership who advised us that that car did not have anti-lock brakes, nor did it have the ability for remote entry. These are important facts that the salesman neglected to tell us that probably would have killed the deal. We have no legal recourse and are stuck with a car that is less than wonderful. I would not recommend this dealership unless the car being considered is inspected by an independent and qualified mechanic prior to any sale. We both feel duped. They dumped a car on us and did very well on the sale because of our predicament.

We've recommended well over a dozen buyers to Chris, all with happy endings. We've found Chris to be honest and fair. When a car has a problem, he is the first to step up and make it right, or work to make it right. There are customers that when they are given the requested refund CONTINUE to bash the dealer and that's incredibly unfair. What is the goal after you've been refunded? Seems there's a lack of character there. Or an agenda.

    I really liked Chris from the beginning. Buy a car, make a friend was so true. I bought 3 Corvairs…read moreover the next few years and planned to buy more eventually. But the last one, well sad to say, he screwed up. I was supposed to get a really nice one, better than the ones I purchased before, also more expensive. We talked about this project multiple times and I was really excited about it. This was back in fall of 2021. So, no rush at all. Finally in December 2022, the day of delivery. The ignition key lock fell out and apart so we had to push the car to our house. From then on it was downhill. Chris warned me about an oil leak they detected while loading the car. And yes an oil leak it was. Someone screwed up the valve cover and its seal. They stripped the threads out by over tightening and then replaced it with longer screws. He gave me a discount because of this. The more we checked, the more we found. In short, it was a mix of broken or missing parts, faulty electrical wiring, ripped off or broken screws and a very botched paint job and body work (I paid extra to have it done nicely). I have pictures of all of it. I know he does budget restorations, but honestly whose budget is he restoring? Conclusion: Either he pulled a fast one, I fell for it because I trusted him, it is incompetence, a very botched job or even fraudulent, I really don't want to know. This car was never checked and should have never been delivered like this. So I contacted him about all my problems and what did he do? He brushed me off. It's ok, Patricia, like I made all this up. If this is your real policy then I going to buy my future cars from someone else, that is for sure. When you buy a car form him make sure all the detail are in a written contract. Write it down. And go to his shop to check the car you are buying in person. Sad, very sad!
