Stopped at Advanced Auto on S. Locust to use code reader on car to see why the check engine light…read morewas on. Went into the store and it was like a ghost town, no customers and no employees visible. After making a lap around the store I had to twice tell an employee sitting on a bucket stocking shelves, "Hello" to get her attention. I asked if she had code reader as I had light on in my car. She handed me the code reader, I advised I had never used one and not sure what to do. She told me there was a plug in under my steering wheel, just plug it in. Went out to car, plugged it in and nothing happened. I went back in telling her that it didn't do anything and asked if there was a button to turn it on, again she said just plug it in. At this point, I was feeling like I was bothering her and I should be able to figure this out. So went back out to car and used YouTube. Well, you are supposed to turn car to accessory, plug in reader and it should read. If not, start the car and then it will read. Nope, reader still didn't turn on. So I went back in and asked if someone was available that could try. Even though no customers were present, some gentleman came from the back grumbling about just plugging it in. Turns out I am not a complete idiot as he thought, because it didn't work for him either. He said to go try O'Reilly's down the street and if theirs didn't work, it was probably something wrong with my plug in. Well, that store was not anymore helpful, so I found myself at Auto Zone ready to take on the world when an employee mentioned that it could be a fuse. So I grabbed the car manuel and figured out what fuse, found the fuse in box under the hood, located and found the burned out fuse. Went into this third store, found the fuse by myself, bought it and replaced. Amazingly enough, the code reader worked!!! The employee at Auto Zone did a great job of answering all my questions about the codes my car threw and gave me printout showing me parts needed and cost of them. With my new found mechanic confidence, I need to decide if I am up to replacing my own O2 sensor.....

It is not in Omaha,Nebraska , it is in Grand Island, Nebraska. The map function was not working…read morewell :/ Anyway Have you ever been doing a cross country road trip in the US along highway 80 and have your car break down? I did. I was luckily able to diagnose the potential problems over the phone with my dad, a fully licensed auto mechanic, who didn't know I was not at home1300 miles away. D'oh! I had another friend who recommended the franchise, Autozone to me, which are car parts shops spread all across the US. My nearest one was in Grand Island, about 9 miles off of highway 80. My car made it another nine miles to this store, who stayed open just a few minutes more til I could make it in. They came out immediately and had a look at my car. They used the diagnostic computer which they can hook up to most modern cars( 1980's and on?). It tells them a code number, and from there they look in a book and it says what is wrong and or which part is having issues. By the way, this is how a lot of mechanics shops do it which is cool if you are slightly handy you can do it yourself after having Autozone diagnose it, or buy a diagnostic computer AND do it yourself. ( Just from getting a code or reading, doesn't mean you always actually have the issue known, always ask an expert or read up on it.) By the way, this is a standard feature for all Autozones which is awesome. Some do have shop on premises as well if you are not handy. Luckily I just need some spark plugs replaced and my husband and I were able to do that easily. Sweet! So after phoning a friend, driving 8 miles to a store which was about to close and receiving excellent customer service, surviving my fathers unintelligible instructions of how to install these particular spark plugs, we were back on the road and able to avoid the hurricane approaching. Hurray! I would definitely go back, maybe not to this location because it is so secluded but yes, to an Autozone.

We can to the Ford dealership on recomendation from Omaha's Ford Dealership. We limped into the dealership and told we could not get the repairs done for 2 weeks (Friday, July 28, 20237. We told the service rep we were trying to get to a wedding in Colorado. We were told it could not be done any sooner than the 28th. We tried to locate another place to get it done. (took all day) and no one else could help. We recontacted your dealership and agreed to buy a car from you, if the RV could be serviced by Friday, July 21, 2023. The service department agreed they could do that. We bought a 2012 Honda Pilot. We asked if there was an inspection on it and was told yes. (I know Ford has Certified Pre-owned vehicles). After asking this the salesman, Andrew tried to get us to buy an extended warranty. (I did not think it was needed as there was an inspection that was done). I guess I should have reviewed the Certified Pre-Owned vehicle levels as this vehicle did NOT qualify. I have no doubt Andrew knew what I was asking, but never told me that this vehicle did not qualify for the Ford's Certified Pre-Owned. We bought the vehicle and drove it to Colorado. The 4th day we owned it, the check electrical system came on and we ended up being stranded yet a 2nd time in Estes Park, CO. We were lucky enough to find a repairs shop that was able to get the repair done timely so we could keep our travel plans to get back home in time for medical tests. Funny, not funny thing...The RV repair was done on Tuesday, July 18th. Interesting it was able to be completed so quickly as we were initially told it could not be done for 2 weeks. We will likely never find ourselves in Lincoln NE again. And will likely never need to buy a vehicle or have a vehicle repaired. But even if we did, I am pretty sure we would tow it to another location regardless of cost as I would not want to give any further business to Anderson Ford again. I would expect more from a dealership

Quinn told me 3 different times my truck would be ready just to turn around and tell me that the tech was pulled to a different job. Quinn, Paul or the GM Ray will not return my calls and will not communicate when I will get my truck back. I will never deal with Anderson again
